Tried Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty last night for a bit and enjoyed it. I did WeMOD the hell out of it π so playing it more like an action game on "hard".
I could have replayed Metroid Prime "HD" on Dolphin at any point in the last decade. Never saw any reason to do so... a Switch rehash is not changing that.
I do still have Metroid Prime 4 on Preorder since 2018... make something new and you get my cash.
Not surprised... the game is tons of fun. They hit it out of the park with this one.
The PC version needs like 4hrs of playing in the castle for it to settle down. Something is happening in the background that grinds the game into a slideshow π€·ββοΈ
Yeah... I just finished Forspoken. Good surprise and also enjoyed it, especially when I got a few magic trees open.
I also liked how there was always something on the map to do. If I was tired after work and only play for a bit or had a full afternoon - always found an activity that fit and felt I progressed.
I went from Forspoken to Hogwarts Legacy myself.
There is a Cats Cloak on Prime Gaming if you have it
Already finished it. But if it gets some story DLC, I would come back.
I turned world dialogue to minimum (wish some jRPG had that option) but some interaction like the "Newark" and "you sound like a serial killer" were actually funny.
Not only are the high player ratings on Steam, but first Nvidia used their games to promote the RTX4000 launch on stage and now Valve is using Spider-Man to promote the Steam Deck right on the home screen of Steam.
TLOU is the perfect game to keep the momentum going.
PS5 install base in Japan will be the the same 8%/10% of the total base like PS4 was.
Japanese developers understand Sony is the gateway to the West regardless what their hardware sales are in japan. So they keep supporting it - that is really all that matters.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Hogwarts Legacy Takes Fourth Number One, Still Selling Best on PS5
Yeah, still having a blast with Hogwarts Legacy.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 466
1. Hogwarts Legacy (SteamDeck)
2. Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten (SteamDeck)
3. F1 (SteamDeck)
Away again this weekend. PC/PS5 get a break.
Re: European Union Likely to Pass Xbox's $69 Billion Buyout of Activision
Sony is fine either way.
I been with NVidia GeForce Now since beta. And now use it to play games I have on the Ubi Store and Epic Store on my SteamDeck.
On that side, the more games on it the better. One more option to play away from home. Not what my PC/PS5 is for.
Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS5) - Excellent Action RPG a Must Play for Masochists
@Dishonored29
Yeah. I had SaveWizard on my PS4. It worked great. They still active there - just released Octopath 2 codes on PS4
https://www.savewizard.net/
But they have not released a SaveWizard for PS5 yet.
Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS5) - Excellent Action RPG a Must Play for Masochists
@Shinnok789
Yeah, even if at the regular $10 for PC Gamepass it is worth it to try it out.
Especially if not 100% convinced on it and already blew the budget on PSVR2.
Re: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (PS5) - Excellent Action RPG a Must Play for Masochists
The Demo did not grab me like Nioh did. So moved it to PC GamePass - less of a risk (especially when I already blew-up my gaming budget)
Also on PC there is the potential of using WeMod to bring the game down a notch like with Returnal. If it gets codes
I'll give it a try this weekend.
Re: Preview: Final Fantasy 16 Is Shaping Up to Be a PS5 Game of the Year Contender
hype is real, another Day 1 on my list. The games just keep coming - love it!
Re: Elden Ring DLC Confirmed as Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion Is Announced
If there is one game that deserves new expansion it is this... Day 1.
Re: Octopath Traveller 2 Remains Simply Stunning in HD-2D Gameplay
Yeah, great it is on PS5 and PC on day 1 this time around.
Also glad to see it has a "Verified Compatibility" for SteamDeck on the Steam page.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 465
1. Hogwarts Legacy (SteamDeck)
Away again this week. PS5 taking a rest (finished GOW... fantastic game!) and setting up PSVR2 will need to wait a bit.
Hogwarts is also amazing as a handheld game. Finished One Piece Odyssey (great jRPG) on my last work trip, so it came out just in time.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Octopath Traveler 2?
Playing Hogwarts Legacy right now. Playing a jRPG at the same time is a bit to time intensive for me.
On the list, will play it down the line. Between my PC and PS5 simply swimming in games, some need to fall by the side.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy Soars with 12 Million Copies Sold in First Two Weeks
Well deserved. Fun game.
Re: PS5 Records Another Good Week of Sales in Japan, 2.5 Million Sold Since Launch
So that is basically 8% of total PS5 base.
More or less the same as the sub 6-9% for PS4 in the Japanese market. Reason why Sony does not make decisions based on it.
Re: Out Today: PSVR2 Brings Next-Gen VR to the Masses
Lets Go!
Wont be able to set up until Sunday. And I am 100% plugging it into my PC to see what happens π€£π
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Atomic Heart?
Yeah... but on GamePass. Was not 100% sure, so glad it is an option and I gave it a try.
Doing the job as a bridge game until PSVR2 shows up and keep Hogwarts Legacy (mostly) for my commute and work trips.
I rather play 3rd person games. But I just need to be entertained, everything else are side options.
Re: Soapbox: I Would Crush a Cyborg Spine for a Metal Gear Rising Remaster
I have this sitting in my Steam account. Never play it.
Not playing the same games over because I can play it on the bus on a Switch or at 4K with new lighting on PS5... it is boring.
Make something new.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Wild Hearts?
not yet, but want to.
Need to finish Hogwarts Legacy and Atomic Heart first.
Hard to keep up with all the new games... I mean, it is a good "problem" to have π
Re: Atomic Heart (PS5) - Alt History Shooter with an Identity Crisis
@SweetSummerShunv
Yeah, and on Steam you can actually see how long someone played a game before they post their review.
I always set it to a minimum of 10hrs. And this already at "Very Positive" with that filter on.
Re: Atomic Heart (PS5) - Alt History Shooter with an Identity Crisis
Yeah, No.
Thankfully I could try it on Gamepass with little risk and 100% disagree.
This is one PS review I am glad I ignored.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Hogwarts Legacy?
Game 9/10
Fact my wife keeps coming over and watch me play... 10/10 π
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 464
1. Hogwarts Legacy
Brilliant game, pretty much taking up any time I have free right now.
Re: Like a Dragon: Ishin! (PS5) - One of the Most Intense and Intricate Yakuza Games Yet
And another one on my list that turned out good. Thanks for the review (again)
Games, games and more games... it is a flood - love it! I just need a lot more time.
Re: PSVR2 Review: Is It Worth It?
Great review, but already sold on VR years ago on PC.
It is cheaper to get a PSVR2 than upgrading my PC VR headset to anything close to these specs. This is a no brainer for me.
Hopefully down the road the PC community makes it work on Windows. One headset for PC+PS5 would be an amazing bang for the buck.
Re: Octopath Traveler II (PS5) - An Immaculate RPG with Brilliantly Realised Characters
Great to hear.
Skipped the Switch version and waited to play the first one on PC. Glad we get all versions on Day 1 this time around.
Already certified on SteamDeck. Not had a chance to test it with the Demo, but most likely stay on PC for this one.
On the list
Re: Gran Turismo 7's Free PSVR2 Patches Hits the Starting Grid on 21st February
@carlos82 @Kidfunkadelic83
Yeah. Next on my wish list is F1 and a New Ace Combat with story campaign VR support. Or a story driven space shooter like CHORUS
I get people want action games like ALYX/Horizon. But VR is so amazing to fully place you in a cockpit.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Hogwarts Legacy's Launch Week Sales Trump Elden Ring's in Massive Debut
Not surprised... the game is tons of fun. They hit it out of the park with this one.

Re: Gran Turismo 7's Free PSVR2 Patches Hits the Starting Grid on 21st February
When I got my PC VR headset I played Dirt (and Elite Dangerous) non stop.
As a Motorsport/Automobile fan, VR is a childhood dream come true. Racing games alone makes the investment worth it for me.
Re: Atomic Heart PS5, PS4 Trophy List Will Have You Drinking Vodka for the Platinum
Game looks fun. Have it pre-installed
Rarely chase trophies but getting drunk on Vodka and doing random stuff I will try.

@ItsBritneyB_tch
Yeah... I just finished Forspoken. Good surprise and also enjoyed it, especially when I got a few magic trees open.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 463
1. Hogwarts Legacy (PS5)
2. Hogwarts Legacy (SteamDeck)
3. God of War Ragnarok (PS5)
Hogwarts Legacy starts off with a bang, already loving it!
But now need to travel next week for work. So bought it again on Steam. If it runs well on my SteamDeck - moving to PC
Can always give my PS5 copy to my niece who is also a big fan. Good thing about buying games on a disc ππ
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Hogwarts Legacy?
Yeah, Preorder.
Wife is a bigger fan than I am, but it rubbed off enough to be super excited for the game π
A bowl of popcorn, our comfy couch and a trip to Hogwarts are part of my weekend plans
Re: PSVR2's Packaging Doubles as a Handy Storage Box
I will just get a headset stand like for my PC VR headset. Also have the controller charging dock in the preorder.
I would have a harder time trying to find a spot for that big box in our apartment than just leaving the headset out
Re: Gallery: PSVR2's Unboxing Experience Is Uneventful, And That's a Great Thing
Looks fantastic π
Basically will make me not want to use my PC VR headset... come on Sony, make it Windows compatible also.
They can take both the Console and PC market with this
Re: Ni no Kuni Dev Level-5 Reveals Crime Suspense RPG DECAPOLICE for PS5, PS4
Sold and Day 1. Glad to see Level 5 back
Re: Forspoken PS5 Patch Will Address Performance, Graphics, and More as Dev Remains 'Committed'
Already finished it. But if it gets some story DLC, I would come back.
I turned world dialogue to minimum (wish some jRPG had that option) but some interaction like the "Newark" and "you sound like a serial killer" were actually funny.
Re: PS2's Best-Selling Console Crown in Jeopardy As Nintendo Switch Passes PS4
I am in that number, but Last time I used mine was back in July 2022 for Xenoblade 3
Handheld for work travel was the only reason I had to keep owning Nintendo hardware. My SteamDeck now fits that role.
Re: UK Determines Xbox's $69 Billion Activision Buyout Could Harm Gamers
So now we can move on
I rented the last one just to play the single player and could not even finish that.
Narrative is somewhere between propaganda and clichΓ© dribble
Company laying off 10,000 people should not be wasting this much money on this garbage anyway.
Re: HBO's The Last of Us Continues Meteoric Rise, Hits New Ratings High
Nice, Waiting for everything to be up before starting.
With
1. TLOU TV Show,
2. The Harry Potter game
3. The videogame MoMA exhibit (Never Alone)
The most My wife has actually talked about gaming related things with me (not just being polite) in ages π π€£ππ
Re: Hot Wheels: Rift Rally Brings Mario Kart Live-Style Mixed Reality Racing to PS5, PS4
Yeah, care about this on PS5 as much as I cared about MK: Live on Switch... Zero.
I have $70 for F1 on PSVR2. Where is that πππ
Re: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Crash-Lands in Nine Minutes of New Gameplay
Wow, nice. Great to have another SW game, this is Day 1 for me.
Re: Development on EA's Iron Man Game Officially Begins
Take Anthem - make it into a single player story driven game - skin it with any Iron Man suit
Ship it.
First time I took flight in Anthem, I thought there is an IronMan Game in here somewhere.
Re: Hogwarts Legacy (PS5) - A Harry Potter Dream Come True
Nice... I know what I am playing next weekend!
I feel my Wife will join in this one. I am more of a fan because of her, so great if now the game pulls her into my hobby.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 462
1. Forspoken - PS5
2. One Piece - Steam Deck
3. Inkulinati - PC (i was a kickStarter backer - worked out, they got it doneπ)
Re: The Last of Us: Part 1's PC Release Date Delayed a Few Weeks
Sony is on fire on PC.
Not only are the high player ratings on Steam, but first Nvidia used their games to promote the RTX4000 launch on stage and now Valve is using Spider-Man to promote the Steam Deck right on the home screen of Steam.
TLOU is the perfect game to keep the momentum going.
Re: Deliver Us Mars (PS5) - A Thrilling Sci-Fi Adventure to Save Humanity
Liked the first one. So this is on the list later on.
I know it is harder for new players but I love when the story continues in the near future in the next game.
Discovering what some characters are doing a decade later from where I left them is a motivation to play it.
Re: PS5 Finally Takes Control of Japanese Charts, As Forspoken Flops
PS5 install base in Japan will be the the same 8%/10% of the total base like PS4 was.
Japanese developers understand Sony is the gateway to the West regardless what their hardware sales are in japan. So they keep supporting it - that is really all that matters.
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite PS5, PS4 Game in January 2023?
One Piece Odyssey
Mostly because it is fantastic as a SteamDeck game. Really made me not care about the time I spend travelling for work.
Only got Forspoken for PS5 this month (Rental) At last chapter, been fun.
Re: Sony Is Successfully Attracting Non-PS4 Owners to PS5
My Fam is in that stat π
1. Random relative who buys a console because of a Show or Movie.
Keep saying I am happy to lend them mine for the one game, as they rarely use the thing again.
2. My Older Brother's Wife got this idea in her head that you only buy Nintendo systems for kids until they get older.
This nonsense has filtered down the Fam π€·ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ so now you get a bunch of kids that "graduated" to something else this generation.
Both camps end up with a PlayStation (or a videocard for their PC) because that is what everyone else has in the Fam.
Re: PS5 Powers PlayStation to Record Breaking Financial Results
Not surprised, It is all about the games.
Sony knows how to make them and builds hardware that gets amazing 3rd party support. I been swimming in games.
Every generation I always buy a PlayStation first, build from there. It always works out.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Smashes Through a Staggering 11 Million Sales
Not surprised. Fantastic game.
