Sony and PlayStation Productions have now uploaded a full Until Dawn movie trailer after the promising first look video earlier this week proved a fair bit better than expected. Now with two and a half minutes of footage, we can get a better understanding of how the time loop mechanic in the film works. Check the trailer out above.
The group of teens are led by Clover, played by Ella Rubin (Gossip Girl), who are collectively looking for Clover's sister. A warning from Peter Stormare's character leads them to a mansion, where the horrors of the night take place. When they die from a new monster, the teens return to 6:45pm on that same night and have another chance to solve the mystery. It's suggested nobody has ever lived beyond 13 days of the time loop, giving them a deadline. Among other monsters, we do see that the wendigos from the PS5, PS4 game are one of them.
Until Dawn is available to watch in theatres from 25th April 2025. Do you like the look of the full trailer? Share your full thoughts in the comments below.

God, this looks so ugly and cheap from an aesthetic standpoint. If you told me this was a Tubi original movie, I'd believe it.
"Wendigos confirmed as one of the monsters" - I mean, I hope so otherwise it wouldn't be until Dawn....
I'm curious when they say "one", like will there be brand new monsters, if so they should add the vampires from house of ashes, as their design is really cool.
@Oram77 it's explained that each time someone dies they face a different monster/world
Again I really hate to be "That guy" but............who asked for this? š
This actually looks pretty good!Looking forward to watching it
I'm pretty disappointed, but I'll still watch it.
Dude... where's my car?
Damn, talk about way too much revealed š¤
@RBMango this looks very much like it's from the corner of horror movies where you find things like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Halloween" which are traditionally lower budget movies (all horror tends to be, to be fair, but these sorts of films are cheap even by horror movie standards).
I think this could be quite good. I hope they've not spoiled too much of it in the trailer though. At the very least Peter Stormare will be fantastic, because he always is.
@Keyblade-Dan If studios only created what people āasked for,ā weād be in big trouble. No film can appeal to every single person, so unless the movie is poorly-reviewed AND performs poorly commercially, thereās really no problem.
I think it looks pretty decent. Iām a fan of teen slashers that many would consider bad (Urban Legend anyone?), so this seems like an okay watch for me!
Meh. Maybe I'll watch it when it hits a streaming service. Maybe not......
This looks like another Sony bomb. Who is green lighting this stuff lately? I mean, it seems like this movie was made on the cheap with CW-grade actors.
I like the twist, I like the concept, I hate how it looks. It's like with Sony pushing the camera industry forward and being a leader in animation, why do their movies look so plain and lacking cinematography wise (let's not even get on the topic of the horrendous writing in most of their movies).
Bland, generic cast? Check. Super cheap aesthetic? Check. Trailer that gives too much away? Check. Hard pass? Check.
Looks cool I'm in. Just played Homebody which has a similar time loop after being murdered so I'm interested to see this.
I like the use of the time loop in the story, like someone's playing the game and has to restart each time the character dies. Whether it'll end up any good however, we shall see, but I won't hold my breath.
Edit: Unless the light bar prompt appears and I have to stay really still, anyway.
Am I the only one who thinks the premise is great?
Iāll see it when itās Iām home. I donāt do movie theaters anymore. I have a 100ā TV and an awesome surround. Not to mention, films hit home 45 days after release now instead of the old 3-4 month wait. Alsoā¦ PRICE!!!
@ironcrow86 this is why I no longer watch trailers for anything Iām interested in. Because they reveal way too much in trailers now trying to drum up interest for the thing theyāre advertising.
I bet none of these characters are as good as Emily from the game. I remember hating her in the beginning to her becoming my favourite near the end.
I feel like I just watched the entire movie
Looks interesting, I can never have too many horror movies and this looks a bit like Happy Death Day which was great. I would have probably named it something else as it has very little to do with Until Dawn.
If Peter Stormare tells me a place is bad news, then I pack my bags and get as far away from there as possible. Because if it's bad enough to spook Peter Stormare, it's sure as hell going to spook me.
Iāll give it a watch, definitely
THEY SAID THE TITLE OF THE MOVIE IN THE MOVIE THIS IS GONNA SUCK SO GOOD
I'm not watching the trailer as I might watch the movie. Hope it looks good.
@get2sammyb the premise is probably the best way to adapt it without just turning it into run of the mill slasher shlock.
Despite bit being very interested I hope it finds success to warrant more horror game adaptations like signalis, clock tower or tormented souls.
I mean, I guess it looks fine but if it's not going to follow the plot of the game, what's the point in calling it "Until Dawn?" I don't even think it was a good idea to make an until dawn movie so it seems pointless.
Just give it an October release and it will do good.
