@Stickleman mine works now! Then again not sure if it’s the ps plus collection / ps plus extra or both. I have both so not sure if both give free upgrades.
I remember this game was ok, and I remember roughing it out at the end after a save left me almost no health to beat Darth Maul. I remember fighting him for over an hour with low health lol.
but as for a different but related game, Jedi Power Battles was amazing! I have so many good memories playing that one. More fun and it had co-op.
@CaptD haha no problem on my end. I know there are limited hours in the day but I wish this site covered VR better. A lot of things slip through the cracks so there aren't official places to discuss games not covered (besides the forums I guess). I feel like PushSquare is super reliable on regular PS5 news.
On topic so I'm not just talking about a different game on this article, I think Stilt definitely looks interesting but is much lower on my priority list (bottom third) and would have to be a deep sale imo.
@Amnesiac ohhhhh. yeah, I've seen a ton of people get upset about that on the reddit. Doom and Gloom and the world is over because they're not porting.
@Amnesiac for what it's worth, wasn't trying to be negative, more along the lines of trying to defend the developer. I guess the biggest issue seen was with a HOTAS controller not responding correctly. He said it's a known issue and is in the day one patch.
I've never played this type of game in VR outside of the Star Wars flight demo, definitely interested in learning more about it
@somnambulance I don't expect them to do it, especially with DLC winding down. Epic probably wants them to focus on Fortnite Festival. I would make the suggestion to Epic and nor Harmonix because they won't have any control over it.
@WolfyTn I guess it depends on what you're used to. I remember having a third party controller that was a lot more clicky in the strum bar. I have mostly the main stratocasters. I just did a strum test and my unofficial opinion is that the new one made for Rock Band 4 is a little less clickier than the one I have for Rock Band 2. But apparently both Mad Catz and PDP made guitars for Rock Band 4 per the comment above, I have the Mad Catz one
@Grumblevolcano weird, it looks like Mad Catz and PDP both made instruments for RB4. Not sure the timeline of which was which. I know the main Fender Stratocaster that came with the band in the box was made by Mad Catz who went out of business.
@somnambulance If they released a PS5 version of the game, it would just be an outcry for more instruments. if you didn't know, their instrument manufacturer for RB4 went out of business and people won't shut up about it on their channels. Every comment is talking about more instruments when they've explained that it's not possible in the foreseeable future.
If they are getting more in the future, it's because Epic decided to take care of it. Hard to believe but they're an indie company that sold themselves to keep making games but eventually bought back their independence. Now they belong to Epic.
@Mad001 I definitely couldn’t get into Elder Scrolls Online, just felt too far from the real thing. Played Fallout 76 in 2022 for a bit and got into it but still just wasn’t as good as the regular Fallout. Couldn’t get my friends into it so I mostly played solo for a while. Would have definitely preferred just a new fallout or elder scrolls game, so I’m with you on that point.
@Broosh I know there’s at least co-op. The way they claimed, it sounded to be a lot more seamless and normal than regular souls. I really want to hear more about how it’s actually implemented though. Not sure of pvp but I’d assume so
@Mikey856 Keep your eye out for Vertigo 2. It's supposed to be around Half Life Alyx quality and coming out in 2 weeks or so. I don't feel like Push Square has really brought this one up but it seems like one of the biggest vr games coming this holiday.
Compared to other should have been great but the ports were let downs until we get graphic updates like Green Hell and Hellsweeper, this one seems really promising for a good launch. Obviously check reviews but it really should be one to watch for.
@Tecinthebrain "imagine that there were no first party Sony studios not making games for the PS5"
But isn't that true? We don't know about anything past Spiderman except Helldivers which I believe is being published by Sony. I don't believe for a second that Sony is sitting on their butts doing nothing, I think we just don't know about their upcoming plans - and I believe that includes PS5 and PSVR2. I think this is less of a gotcha than you think and more of a "Sony is keeping their cards extremely close to their chest" situation.
My friend got this game (on pc) and he's having a lot of fun with it. He's a pretty experienced player for DBD and also played Friday the 13th. I was worried matches would be too similar but it seems in the early stages he's having a lot of fun.
While I'm not personally interested in buying this because I have DBD and also a TON of games to buy this year, I figured I'd put that input out there.
@Trousersnake to be fair, I only played like 20 minutes of the intro, so I didn't get to see settlements, or any of that stuff. Maybe it looks better in more confined spaces. I got started on a snow planet this time which was new. Again, I do feel it was massively improved. With all the hype I saw on reddit I went in believing it was going to be like Red Matter 2 and to me it just wasn't unfortunately. It's still a great upgrade!
And it isn't all on my expectations. I played Kayak VR for the first time, expecting it to look great, and it does! Not perfect but great. I also tried Synth Riders for the first time and it was way better than I expected. But again, both of those games don't have the same scope as something like NMS, which might be one of the most ambitious games on the platform with how vast and procedurally generated it is.
@thefourfoldroot1 Yeah, I would have loved for it to look that good, but to my eye it just doesn't. But it makes sense with how big and open NMS is vs how corridor like Red Matter 2 is. I think it's like if it was the worst looking PSVR2 game there was (which is what a lot of people said), it's now around mid tier instead of top tier
@Trousersnake @thefourfoldroot1 I feel like I'm taking crazy pills, but I loaded it up last night and it in no way matches Red Matter 2 for me in graphical fidelity. It's definitely a step up from where it was and makes it a lot more playable but I can name several games with much better graphical fidelity.
It's still awesome that they updated the graphics, I just need to be honest.
Bought the game at launch, was disappointed and pretty much never came back.
I know it’s a lot better but I’ve watched videos and I’m not sure it’s the game for me.
The way to get me to play this is through increasing the quality in the PSVR2 mode. It’s probably the blurriest/lowest res game I’ve played on the platform
Kind of a weak month for me personally outside Sea of Stars but the last two months have been great and I'm going away on vacation without a console for 11 days so it's not a huge deal to me. I'll just play more VR or one of the previous month's games
@WallyWest 16 is a WAY better Final Fantasy game than 12 or 15. Story, gameplay, music, world etc. Combat is great and more varied than you think. Two of my best friends are playing and since I’m ahead of them, I’ve watched them play and we all use different abilities and approach combat differently. I’m saying all this as someone who also loves turn based, one of my top two games this year is turn based.
You’re obviously the one with bias based on your comments here. You’re coming off as really abrasive. It’s ok to have different opinions but maybe don’t speak for everyone.
I love this! I had been waiting for 3 years and it’s met all my expectations. My runs tend to be long though because I almost always go through all biomes I’ve done so far to a) accumulate gold, b) continue to learn layouts and enemy types and c) get xp for that class. I think it’s gonna help in the NG+ runs. Just made it to the sixth biome.
Just finished Zelda. I’m just waiting for Rogue Legacy 2 and FFXVI to come out. Last night I restarted my Returnal file to play through again. I might do some psvr2 this weekend!
@gbanas92 @Hamst88 someone posted on Reddit an interview with the developer of these games. Among other info, she said because of fan response, she is looking to do a 1989 port but it is a much older game and would require a lot more work. There's not a team working on it yet but it is in her plans to port.
@Perryg92 I think they said they weren’t sure if they would be bringing 1989 over but that was a while ago. They had said before they were going to do 1995 but no info at that point
@gbanas92 @thefourfoldroot1 there’s no dates but I’m pretty sure they did say they are planning on porting 1995. 1989 is still up in the air (I don’t know why).

Re: Returnal Studio Housemarque Teases News for Tomorrow
@MBalz_EsHari they added in the ability to save and quit. It’s still a rogue-like so you still start over if you die.
Re: Hands On: Fallout 4 Next-Gen Runs Great on PS5, But Some Old Problems Persist
@Stickleman gotcha. It worked for me last night so maybe it’s only ps plus extra

@Stickleman mine works now! Then again not sure if it’s the ps plus collection / ps plus extra or both. I have both so not sure if both give free upgrades.
Re: Fallout 4 Next Gen Update Release Times: When Can You Play the New Version?
Do we have it confirmed or not if the free ps plus or ps plus extra versions will include a free upgrade?
Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Lose Another Seven Games Soon
Never got around to Tchia, but it is what it is. I always intended to play the Outer Wilds, so might download that today to check it out.

@CaptD fyi the game released before the developer intended, so no day one patch. He said it was going to be more like a day 5 patch at this point.
Just for what it’s worth 😁

@Grumblevolcano ok good to know. Thanks!

Re: Game of the Year: Top 10 PS5, PS4 Soundtracks of 2023
Booooooooo!
Octopath 2 deserves top 5 and you don’t even have it on the honorable mention list.
Some great ones on the top 10 but too many glaring omissions, notably Octopath 2.
Re: Game of the Year: Best PSVR2 Game of 2023
My top 3 would be:
1. Red Matter 2
2. Synapse
3. RE: Village

Re: Fallout: New Vegas Vibes Front New Fallout 76 Content
@Mad001 It was created as an online game, like Elder Scrolls online. Being online is one of its main features
Re: Mini Review: Tennis On-Court (PSVR2) - Solid Gameplay Surrounded by Technical Issues
@BetaRabbit64 or just wait for them to patch it hopefully
Re: Lords of the Fallen (PS5) - A Killer Mechanic Elevates This Average Souls-Like

Re: Preview: Arizona Sunshine 2 Could Be the Next PSVR2 Must-Buy
The “it has no games” argument is ridiculous. Just looking at the October release dates.
I’m sure this will be fun though
Re: 8 PS Plus Extra Games for October Leaked Early
Disco Elysium would be great!!! Gotham knights too but my game in co-op is firmly Baldur’s gate 3 for the near future
Re: Larian Unveils Baldur's Gate 3's Most Milquetoast Multiclass Builds
My multi class isn't on the list haha. I'm a Bardlock. Going to eventually get to 10 Bard / 2 Warlock.
Re: Arashi: Castles of Sin - Final Cut Showcases PSVR2 Stealth-Action Gameplay
I think this looks incredibly good 😁
Re: Pixel Ripped 1995 Delays PSVR2 Release to Next Month
@Gooseman42 yeah Hellsweeper is the one for me. Ruinsmagus looks really cool though, just not a day one
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Baldur's Gate 3?
BG3 is my first Baldur’s gate but I did play Divinity 2
Re: Pixel Ripped 1995 Hits PSVR2 This Month, Free Upgrade for Existing Players
Just started 1978 because it's on sale but this is the one I really want to play. I'll get this day one
Re: PS Plus Drives Down PS Store Prices on Over 2,000 PS5, PS4 Games
@Perryg92 actually there’s even more! Jurassic park, garden of the sea, last labyrinth, organ quarter, brain beats, etc
Re: PS Plus Drives Down PS Store Prices on Over 2,000 PS5, PS4 Games
@Perryg92 looks like Demeo, Pixel Ripped, and Until You Fall are on sale. Honestly I was waiting for a price drop on Pixel Ripped. Might grab it now!

@WallyWest you are CRAZY. I guess a good question is what FF games do you actually like? VII Remake’s combat was really good but so was FFXVI

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for June 2023?
Rogue Legacy 2 at launch + Shredder’s revenge + Inscryption = super happy. Also interested in far cry 6 😁

Pretty sure Hellsweeper VR is scheduled for September 21st.
Re: Mini Review: Pixel Ripped 1978 (PSVR2) - Atari Adds Impressively to Newest Nostalgic Treat
@gbanas92 yeah! I’m more excited about 1995 even though it’s older. Hopefully it’ll come out relatively soon
Re: Synapse Looks Like a Superb PSVR2 Roguelite
Very interested and honestly I love the art style. It’s getting a lot of praise as the above commenter said. And it just looks really good.
