It’s the worst possible weekend for this to happen (family visiting for my birthday weekend) but I’ll try to launch it for a little bit.

@Deadhunter played the demo on Steam and it was really good. I’m pretty sure I read the whole thing will be finished/released a month after it launches, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long.

I don’t blame you one bit - definitely a lot of bridges were burned with episodic releases.

Today it’s been working fine for me, but I was having major issues last night. No friends list, lots of disconnecting.

@Mathieu_B they’re made by two completely different teams, they just share the same producer. So triangle strategy 2 could still be in the works. I know they were hard at work making a vr version for meta quest (which is now released)

I wasn’t going to watch the direct but now I am 😂

@AK4tywill @Czar_Khastik this isn’t exactly right. In Second Son, they had free dlc involving Cole but you didn’t actually get to play as him. It was called Paper Trail, and you play it as Delsin but learn more what happened after Cole’s light side ending.

I expect it would be a smaller thing. Like one of the mythic tales from the first game where Atsu will learn a new move based on the legend of Jin

I’m becoming more interested in this game, but I just have too much to play and not enough time/money. Definitely going on my wish list, and I’ll wait for a sale. Still haven’t pulled the trigger on like a dragon 8 even at half price. Just too much to play.

This definitely sounds like a game that’s up my alley, especially to maybe stream to handheld

I haven’t seen anything like this so far. I’m about 24 hours in and usually play for a few hours at a time

@PlatinumMikey yep! That’s about my experience on the Deck. Near flawless with the occasional hiccup. My internet does need to be wired for it to work well though. I’m actually playing more PlayStation games because of it 😅 with the occasional game I can’t get on PlayStation

@ILikeStake I remember loving it. Skyrim was a lot better gameplay wise, but for one, the guild stuff was absolute trash in Skyrim compared to Oblivion. ESPECIALLY Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild

@GirlVersusGame you’d probably appreciate references if you’ve seen the movies but since it’s a self contained story, you don’t need to have seen any of the movies to play. It could be a good entry point to the series

@TheArt not trying to talk down at all - was it your first Atlus game? I didn’t die to the final boss once and I didn’t look anything up, although I did most of the side content. Did you do all the mini bosses in the region?

I’ve beaten several souls games and gotten the plat in Bloodborne and Sekiro. The Sekiro final boss took me like 100 tries 😅

@Dragoon1994 oh that’s absolutely true. But a review can also tip you that it might be better to hold off on getting it for a time if the game is in a bad state at launch. I didn’t say it would make me not get it, it would make me maybe wait for a sale if it gets a really bad review.

I also loved Midnight Suns. I got it after all dlc was out and on sale - not because people viewed it poorly. It had a feature which is an instant hold off for me - the inability to pause during cutscenes.

This is one of two games this year I will probably get at launch as long as the reviews aren’t absolutely awful

@somnambulance did you know they were still releasing dlc for Rock Band 4 until January 2024?

I think it’s harder than you think for a new game. I think one of the harder things is the instruments. I wanna say their instrument manufacturer went out of business.

I know that a new guitar was released, but it’s pretty expensive, like $159. I saw it at Target the other day. I’m sure they didn’t make nearly as much as they would need to if they made a new game.

On every dlc announcement, it was just randoms screaming make new instruments every time. 😅

I think the only way Sony could duplicate something like this is making a PlayStation all stars 2 but making it amazingly awesome.

I’m not really paying attention to the development with knowing how long they always take. But I’ll definitely jump in right away when it comes out

Dying Light 2 is definitely a game I’d play for “free” so that’s already better than the last month. For PSVR2 users who don’t have it already, Synapse is an awesome inclusion!

@Judal27 Sorry to hear that. Played a little more of the demo and it's been everything I was hoping for.

@Judal27 so interesting! I think it's better than SMT in literally every way and I put it on the same tier so far as Persona, and 5 is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm having a blast and the only aspect where I think it's not quite up to Persona's standards is the music, which is still quite good! The battle theme is a little...bizarre

@Lup depends on the version. Royal had an additional fight but I'm sure it was set up so you wouldn't be able to lose that fight either.

This is like my only instant day one buy for the rest of the year, trying to watch what I'm spending while I have a huge backlog. I don't personally mind this because I've seen enough and will definitely be picking this one up. But I can see where it's not great for the brand.

okay, as a second note (sorry), I just watched the trailer after I posted. and holy moly that is one of the worst trailers for advertising a game of all time!

I'm actually considering getting the game. I had the chance to try for free on my iPhone and I thought it could be a fun little time waster but didn't love the inaccuracy of the mobile controls, a controller would be much better.

The price point of 4.99 feels very do-able. But I have some points on my Switch so I might just get it there.

I’ve been excited about this for a long time. Haven’t had many games fill that “Elder Scrolls” feeling and this looks like it could definitely do some of that if it lives up to the hype!

I've been interested in this game since I saw early previews on steam. I have plenty to play right now though and I'm not sure I'm $44.99 interested in it

@LazyLombax as an Overwatch faithful, the monetization for the game got SO much worse when it went free to play. It depends on how Concord is set up but it could be a lot better value for someone who is interested in this type of game.

@Cherip-the-Ripper that’s weird! We haven’t really had any problems in about 15 hours of play. We’re closer in proximity (Pennsylvania to Florida, both US)

Just started recently, really enjoying it so far. I play most of these games co-op with a friend and the Quality of Life of not having to reconnect every section has been such a game changer.

@Czar_Khastik they're usually all stand alone but have some common themes, like the names of the elements and such. Sort of similar to Final Fantasy in that regard. It shouldn't be a problem to just start with this one though!

I feel like Extra has been great for me but this is one of the first months where I’m not really interested in anything (already played RDR2). I have tons of games to play right now so not a problem. Guess I could check out cat quest?
