Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves clearly didn’t sell anywhere near as well as SNK perhaps hoped after it plastered the fighter everywhere. But it looks like it’s done enough for a second season of DLC.
While there are no details just yet aside from the fact that it’s happening, the legendary Japanese developer proudly flaunted the news on its X (or Twitter) page earlier today.
“Season 2 begins in January 2026,” it said. “More will be revealed soon. Get ready and stay tuned.”
This implies to us that a new character will launch as early as next month, which is remarkable seeing as today also marks the conclusion of Season 1, with the addition of Mr. Big.
To be fair, SNK has not charged for any DLC yet, as its first year of content was included with all new copies of the game. So presumably, this is where it’ll be hoping to make some post-release money.
While we know it hasn’t been a huge commercial hit, we actually really like this release, and we’re excited to see which characters it’s selected for Season 2.
