No level select is strange. But remember everyone, this is designed for kids, not necessarily the hardcore Horizon audience. I know that my son will have a blast with this since he loves Horizon as a result of the level in Astro Bot.

Great news. Xbox gamers get to play a great game!

Silent Hill 2 is excellent. I'm closing in on the platinum (at nearly 30 hours of gameplay). The only real criticism I have is that the game is bizarrely easy. It gives you way more ammo and health than you need and none of the puzzles (even on hard) aren't terribly difficult or obtuse.

@Elitepatriot As far as I'm concerned, there is only one FEAR game.

Dragon's Age Origins desperately needs a remaster. The game is borderline archaic on PS3.

The only game I am annoyed that didn't transfer trophies is Fallout 4. I was halfway through on PS4 and finished with the PS5 version, but didn't get the PS5 version trophies for the first half of the game and I have no desire to go back and finish them.

Even with MS controlling the marketing, this game will sell way more on PS than Xbox.

There was a time when I would've been completely on board with this. However, I lost interest in Halo years ago and have no real interest to ever revisit the series. I tried the MCC on PC and didn't really get into it.

This is actually a pretty great easter egg. Bloober Team has done an sublime job with this game.

PS5 Pro enhancements won't be near enough to fix The Callisto Protocol's issues.

@Ashina I've never gotten used to the Xbox controller. Usually, controls in games just map to where they should be, so I may not remember the placement of X/Y, but I can just use muscle memory from Playstation to play. That said, I've never gotten used to the offset sticks on an Xbox controller (I really wish Nintendo didn't copy that feature).

It's clearly a joke (he's mentioned actually playing Playstation games in the past). But I do feel compelled to mention that Playstation's X button predates the Xbox platform by 7 years.

This is more of a trend it seems than spelling the death of Sony in Japan. Japanese gamers tend to much more prefer handheld gaming (adding fuel to the rumors of a possible handheld PS6). PS4 also didn't exactly light the country on fire selling about 10 million lifetime units in Japan. The PS5 is already at 6+million.

It looks so good.

This game is more of a soft-remake than a remaster. 10 hours of re-mocapped cutscenes and re-recorded dialogue. The game looks absolutely fantastic and totally worth a $10 upgrade.

Finally, Capcom acknowledges Dino Crisis's existence. Now give it an RE style remake.

@Chupa_loyzer that $400 million claim is total BS unless it includes the cost of buying the studio. There is no way Concord cost $400 million to make.

I don't mind remasters, but they should be for older games, not for late PS4 games. There are a plethora or PS3 and PS Vita games that could desperately use remasters: Infamous, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, God of War Ascension, GTA 4, MGS4, LBP, Max Payne 3, FFXIII trilogy, GT 5/6, SW The Force Unleashed, The Witcher 2 (which never came to PS3) just to name a few.

I was sure this game was going to be cancelled or rebooted. What is Bungie's aversion to SP?

@AdamNovice That was mostly xbot cope. Astro Bot is doing well, especially for a AA game.

It's expensive sure, but still way cheaper than the equivalent PC. Also, this is not getting rid of the base model PS5, just as the PS4 Pro didn't replace the base model PS4. Of course, this is also a result of Xbox just getting curb stomped and Playstation essentially having no competition.

@Markatron84 What's more is that whining about the pronouns for a cheap political win, ignores the actual problems that this game has. Like do you really care about 2 words in the corner of the screen? Would Breath of the Wild have failed if the character bios included pronouns? Give me a break.

@puddinggirl Yes, this game flopped due to "wokeness". Seriously? The game flopped because it's outdated and nobody wanted it. I would be shocked if this game resurfaces. Likely, it will be shelved and turned into a tax write off. Sony waited way too long to reveal the game and once it was shown, it was too late to pivot when people demonstrated that it was unwanted.

I played the early access and confirmed that this game isn't for me. I don't like multiplayer and this game did not sway me. I would have picked it up if it had a single player campaign.

I guess it's a good thing I stopped buying digital games.

@colonelkilgore There is new leadership at Sony and I'm sure they know this. The live service push was Jim Ryan's initiative. Herman Hulst came from a studio that created the most successful new single player IP of the last 10 years. We are going to see a refocus on SP games. Personally, I wish Concord had a SP campaign. As it stands, I don't like mp games and won't pick this one up.

@nessisonett why? The game is fairly short and you can just play again.

I think most of them are coming at this point. I don't understand the point of holding them back anymore.

@Fyz306903 Until the higher ups at Sony start demanding it, Playstation won't port their games to Xbox (they are probably fighting certain games like Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth from going there too). The only reason Xbox is putting these games on Playstation is because MS is forcing them to.

@EfYI They'll win in the same way that Sega won, by becoming a straight software producer.

@Drago201 Sony doesn't need to put it's games on Xbox, in the same way that Xbox does need to put it's games on Playstation.

I'll still play them. Trophies are cool, but I care more about the games themselves.

I'm still not sold on the first person, but I'm a big Indy fan. So I will be picking this up. I'm also not even remotely surprised by this game likely being announced for PS5.

This game looks intriguing, but wow do they need to fix those stiff, janky character animations. And those weird Botox, duck lips need to go.

FF XIII needs a remaster, not a remake. The game spent 5 years in development for PS3, god only knows how long a PS5 remake would take when FF VII Remake took 5 years on PS4 and FFXVI was in development for nearly 8 years. I'd rather get a FFVII Remake style remake for FF VIII than for FFXIII.
