New Battlefield Leak Confirms Next Game Has a Single Player Campaign

Good news. I skipped BF 2042 due to no campaign.

Meh I've moved on from battlefield. Too little too late. Wont be buying.

Best be coop! Or, at least, that would be nice...

I am also aware of the irony of wanting multiplayer coop as an option for the single player campaign of a multiplayer game 😏

Modern battlefield is always fascinating to me. Not too fantastic, like theoretical futures. Not too antiquated, like world war settings. The ideal medium, somewhere between 2000 and 2025.

Battlefield 4 was also great fun in multilayer. Levolution was a silly thing, especially the travesty of that name, but it was actually phenomenal in action.

So I'm actually cautiously optimistic to see how this one turns out. I don't know how hopeful I am about the campaign, though.

I thought this was announced to have a SP Campaign ages ago? One of the other studios is handling it while dice focuses on MP.

@SuperSilverback yes it was..it was leaked by EA when they announced it was in development. There is a rumour that there will be a free to play battle Royal mode like warzone but it's not been confirmed yet.

No need for a single player campaign whatsoever. The campaigns in 3,4 , 1 & 5 were all mediocre at best.
I appreciate they need to appeal to a wider audience, though

I haven't enjoyed a BF campaign since BF4..hope this is good!!

I'll pick it up once it's patched, playable and discounted. Patched and playable is never a condition that BF games release in and I, for one, am sick and tired of paying full price for the dreck that passes as a Battlefield game on release day.

Platform holders really ought to institute a segregation between the single player and multiplayer portions of trophy and achievement lists. This is a perfect example; I’d love to play through the campaign and go for those corresponding trophies, but I have an infinitely-less-than-zero interest to even touch the multiplayer. Since it’s all one homogenous trophy list, the only solution to this problem is: No Buy.

EA won’t get their 70%, Sony won’t get their 30%, and I won’t get to experience the game, all because they force multiplayer trophies down the throats of those who may not want them (inverse also applies for those who want the mp but won’t touch the campaign). Lose-Lose-Lose

Fair they had their multiplayer only experiment and went oh we went solo player money again. Either way on EA not just DICE to get this right not have things of business model changed by bad leadership back and forth. 2042 is pretty unfortunate, while not my type of game its ideas were interesting and it was so broken, recovered a fair amount but still not that amazing of execution.

Also no BF2 Modern Combat swap feature ever again (not grounded enough to be boring, too gamey or too particular to maintain I assume for balancing) but more destruction and other features the series has had, sure.....

I absolutely won't be paying for it, I've spent a small fortune on previous titles and hoping no praying they'd eventually sort out the cheating

Users and creators find it hilarious how easy it is to cheat and how rare being banned is
Threads thousands of pages long laughing at DICE, posting their blatant cheat videos
It boils my blood truly
