Nothing less than they deserve, people have been persisting with their slop way past it's sell by date. There are better shooters out there and you don't have to look hard.

Fantastic game but boy was it a depressing peek into the coming future. I wanted to get the platinum but playing it too long never left me in a good headspace after.

Respect, this one's a grind to get, albeit a top game to play. Loved the original on PS3!

Still Playstation's biggest IP and it's nice seeing they're supporting it long past it's initial release. Going from playing the basic Ridge Racer as a boy to playing the demo of the first was such a magical leap, big fan ever since.

If they can somehow have discs play via a dock I'd be totally onboard with a new Sony handheld, even if it's just to verify that you can play it because it's inserted.

@MrStark I rinsed Resogun twice on PS4 and Vita for those plats, I remember the hunt being such an adrenaline fest, top, top game!

Love how much they've been supporting GT7, I'll drop some money on that DLC out of good will for all the freebies alone.

GTA 6 is coming, more and more people are getting on board to play that. Switch 2 won't have that, at least for a while anyway.

Personally, I've had distaste towards Xbox ever since most of my mates defected after the PS2 and got a 360 instead of PS3 (leaving me on my jack jones for the first few slow years). Microsoft are the richest out of the 3 yet are the most money-grubbing of the 3, make it make sense.

@11001100110zero you're talking to a self-professed luddite, I try to have as little of that intrusive nonsense as possible. Kinect and trying to stop people using second hand copies are what shot themselves in the foot initially with gamepass putting the nail in the coffin imo. They tried to offset the cost of Activision and Bethesda by trying to become Netflix with gamepass and locking people down to a subscription model.

You're right saying most of their damage was self inflicted; when your exclusives only really consist of Halo, Forza and Gears vs what you get on PlayStation (or Nintendo to be fair) then people are only rightly going to switch allegiance unless they're die hard. I have no doubt PSN would still be free if Xbox didn't standardise a charge and in general they've brought about the most anti-consumer practices of the big 3.

I actually feel for my mates still persisting with supporting their brand at this point, the writings been on the wall since the PS4 left Xbox One for dead. Captain going down with their ship kind of sentiment, I half respect it.

@nomither6 I still actively have to use my launch PS3 because it still does things my PS5 Pro can't. I'd 100% pay premium if it was the "ultimate" PlayStation, big ask though, I get it.

Big killer feature if they can get PS6 generationally backwards compatible, we can but dream.

I like the openness of PC but the never ending updates and tweaking to get things running properly mean I'll always prefer PlayStation for it's ease of use. I'm too deep into the PS ecosystem to ever jump ship anyway (physical stretching back to PS1, digital to PS3) but if Valve are successful then it'll be interesting to see if Sony continue to give them ports. PlayStation also still support physical media which PC have let die.

I've put a silly amount of hours into GT7, wish they'd allow me to cash in on unused parts. It actually feels impossible to get 100% of the cars because of the silly prices. I want some free credits if the newbies are getting 'em Polyphony!

These games generate more than enough money yearly to pay employees properly to do the work they'd rather offload onto AI, it's nothing more than greed.

They've been dragging the franchise through the dirt for years now, AI just says I couldn't be bothered. The golden age period of COD4 to BOII is long gone, I'm just glad the servers are still up on PS3.

@Dr_ENT I only got the 5 Pro in April after holding out on the PS4 Pro so I hope you're right. I say they extend it's cycle as long as possible to make the upgrade worth the leap. Make the standard console "Pro" spec worthy out the gate and make the handheld the lower spec choice.

Long may it continue, I've been rocking with them since Christmas '96.

Having a few "oddball" cars has always been what GT is about, I'm just glad to finally see a new track.

They still need to add the option to sell unused car parts though, that or lower the price of some cars still costing 20,000,000.

@TrollOfWar All correct points but nobody is holding a gun to these devs heads and making UE5 compulsory. Death Stranding 2 is a prime example of a studio developing their own engine, doubling down on a single ecosystem and then technically knocking it out of the park. It's too convenient to default to UE5 this gen; let's see more artistry and individuality in the industry again. Make a profit yes, but prioritise quality first and foremost.

@TrollOfWar it could result in that for sure, my only worry are the devs continuing to hold back the PS5 even more after finally beginning to release from the shackles of the PS4. Always great to have a game run 60fps but you want it looking half decent too, especially if you just shelled out for a PS5 Pro.

As long as they don't allow the Switch 2 and Series S releases to botch the PS5 edition in any way I don't see a problem with it, go and make your money Square Enix!

Sony need to stop giving the incentive away to owning a PlayStation; give them nothing and look to Xbox as what happens if you fold. Nintendo are going from strength to strength (dastardly policies and all) because they stubbornly back themselves. You want to play a Nintendo game - you need a Nintendo console, once you go the Xbox route there's no need in having one in the first place!

I didn't think any console would come close again after Sony put up those numbers, Nintendo just might do it (albeit I hope not lol)...
