The Demons Soul remake for PS5 was my first From experience and to be honest I was ready to quit and never play DS or any other From game again, but the amazing job Blue Point did with the remake made me want to continue and as I got more used to the style of the game the more I "enjoyed" it

I do think From games are overly punishing and I don't really buy their point that "making it easier would break the game". I think there's a difference between making a game easier or fairer.

Some of the boss battles in From games are just unfair. The enemies have too much advantage in my opinion.

But I do think From games are pretty amazing, I finished ER and enjoyed that - apart from a couple of boss battles.

I'm now well into the DLC and again really enjoying the exploration and world building. I just wish the boss battles were fairer - I actually think the games would be way more enjoyable if they were.

They really need to show us a reason why we should upgrade, a few more FPS isn't going to achieve that tbh.

What a missed opportunity to get PS5 owners, and potential owners, excited about the upcoming games from PlayStation.

So many missing "expected" titles and no word from most of the PS first party studios.

I want to give it an 8 or 9 but the performance issues can't be ignored. So far I've had 2 crashes and the slow down has been awful. Very frustrating.

I think it would be a harder sell for this gen, what can it offer that we can't do with the current PS5? If games like Jedi Survivor still struggle on a top end PC then a PS5Pro won't help with that.

For me a PS5 slim still seems more sensible than a Pro at this point.

Is everyone playing in Quality mode? 🤔 I’m using Performance mode and the frame rate is all over the place - not very impressive tbh

Having played all weekend I think the "minor framerate issues" quote is misleading tbh.

The framerate dips are pretty horrendous in my opinion. Very disappointing to see this kind of performance for a game of this size.

I really hope patches can fix it but I have a feeling its not going to get sorted properly soon.

I hope this year but Q1 next year seems more likely

The visuals and also the audio are both outstanding, some parts of the game still feel very clunky, especially a couple of the "boss" fights. Overall I'm enjoying it a lot though

Its too expensive and with few outstanding titles to make it an essential purchase - I'll check in with it in 12 months time

Yeah without a decent light gun it’s a no for me

I was so relieved to finish it in the end. Malenia made me want to rage quit so many times and the Elden Beast was also pretty damn annoying. I kind of wish they’d made them a bit easier or at least give the player more options to beat them. I’m not sure I like Froms idea of making bosses so ridiculously over powered.

I understand they want to make it a challenge but when you need 100’s of tries and respeccing your character multiple times to be able to compete it feels more of a chore and just not very enjoyable

Having said all that it’s still a great game and probably a 9.5/10

@NEStalgia they could remake all of them with engine updates and I’d be in 🤣

I wish we could get a grounds up remake for the first game - as well as a new game in the series

Shame as its a really fun and polished platformer - definitely deserves more love
