@WallyWest If you honestly believe that the Series X is so powerful that some of it is wasted and Ps5 is so much weaker then I honestly feel bad for you. Why do so many games run better on Ps5 and every other game run identical if that were the case?

Its pretty hilarious people are saying this was Sony doing this on purpose and their proof is one customer support person saying that's how its supposed to work. As if customer support knows anything about the technicalities of this stuff and is right 100% of the time.

@KidBoruto RE2 is missing the real A/B scenarios with different ways the story plays out, different bosses because of this, item layouts, some enemies missing, and some other smaller stuff. That said I love RE2make and it's probably my second favorite in the series right behind the original. It wouldn't be any massive thing to add so it would be cool as a directors cut. it would mainly be more of a change to make the story actually make sense for both characters. I'd love for them to make a better effort with the music too, if there's one thing RE3make did it was the incredible remade score.

I bet most people wouldn't even notice the difference either way.

This is why it's a good thing that this is a slow roll out. I assume they will reverse this and once again this will be another massive overreaction.

Wish we'd get real directors cuts of Re2 and 3. I'd legit pay full price for more content that isn't standalone cheap DLC crap.

It'll probably come at a later date, how many people even stream games? If you have a good enough connection to stream a Ps5 game then it's fast enough for downloading which is what most people want.

@NEStalgia Did any of those consoles have hardware shortages anywhere comparable to what we have now? Absolutely not. Everything they put out sells. Either way mobile is king in Japan and it even trounces Nintendo in sales. So many of you act like Sony turned its back on Japan. Japan turned its back on console gaming for mobile trash and there's nothing Sony can do about it.

They get outsold one week because of stock and of course the community here acts like Sony is doing horrible and ignoring Japan. Overreacting like usual.

@Apfelschteiner That's most likely what it is. They have to play nice to get these big mergers passed and it doesn't really make sense to buy Square Enix and just leave money from other platforms on the table. If anything the big AAA stuff will be exclusive and will still make the smaller games for Nintendo.

Until Sony buys a 3rd party publisher I don't see this as being a reality unless they just mean PC. They're saying this now because consoles are selling off the shelves in record numbers, the second they slow down it'll be back to exclusive this, console exclusive that. The reality is both MS and Sony make the absolute bulk of their money from their stores and you can only use the Playstation store on a PS console. 30% of every single thing sold on the store is way too much to give up.

I'll take better performance, rewind, and save states over trophies any day.

Sony didn't "demand" the price to be changed and nowhere did Shane say they were pissed. Shane/the developer is obligated to keep price matched on all platforms. The problem is that some smaller countries get thrown into regions where their money is worth less since you can't set pricing by individual country. On the flip side in some countries it saves you money. This isn't just a PS thing by the way and happens on other platforms.

@OthmaneAD It has nothing to do with piracy, it's the fact that you can't control individual regional pricing on Playstation.

It's just funny how people will get upset over this when I bet most of you are in the countries where you actually saved money from it.

I wish they did DS2 as well. The second game is so much better IMO.

@Godot25 You totally missed MY point. If you had even played GT7 you'd know that the game gives you plenty of money where you don't need to spend ANY extra real cash unlike Forza where you have to pay for DLC no matter what. Again with the ridiculous hyperbole saying every car costs $20 which is nonsense, also when you get licenses the cost of the expensive cars go down drastically. Once again you'd know this if you had any experience with the game but instead you just listen to the nonsense from other internet goons who've never even played it.

The FTC just chimes in so people know they get paid to do something. They let MS, Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Google buy up everything in sight so of course this will go through.

@Godot25 Did you seriously say FH5 is almost microtransaction free? It literally launched with $60+ worth of add ons and DLC. All of which are not included in GP since the point is to rent the game and then buy useless DLC for a game you don't own. Compare that to GT7 where you earn plenty of money and everything in the game can be bought with said money so you don't have to spend a dime. It's hilarious how people crap on GT7 and have no idea how it actually is.

@sword_9mm More like Xbox is broke but MS is rich. Xbox doesn't even post its profits from the division because they lose tons of money each year.

I don't get why they don't just remake Outbreak with updated graphics and follow the same game structure. That way they don't have to take forever to come up with new scenarios and can see if the game has a potential major fanbase. Could even monetize the hell out of it with weapon skins and outfits.

@NEStalgia The MS buying scenario you mentioned is 100% false. They made an offer to buy Square in 1999 and got close to a deal but then Square said they wanted double their original asking price and MS didn't think it was worth it. Sony didn't buy Square's stock until 2001 when Square had major financial issues when Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within bombed. Then to return the favor when Sony was having financial issues in 2014 they both agreed to have Sony sell their stake which was only 8%. This is all easily found with a Google search. There was no Sony blocking an MS buyout with a stock purchase lol...

What people don't understand is you don't just call up a billion dollar company and buy it in a week. I bet anything the Embracer group buyout was well before Sony made their offer for Square Enix. That is if these rumors are true that Sony is buying them. Square and Sony have been close ever since Sony got into the console business so I can see it. They could have even bought them years ago when the FF movie tanked the company and Sony bought a ton of their stock to keep them afloat.

Also what is with the cringe fanbase here ***** on Sony so much? They've released a steady amount of great games for years now and really their only big problem is they can't even get consoles to people. All the talk about live service games and they've only released one so far. Aside from the hysteria of idiots, it's actually a great game too. The fanbase here is so negative for no reason. You act like Jim Ryan is the devil and controls the entire company himself. I bet you're the same dumb people who think Don Mattrick was the only person making decisions for Xbox. @Jaz007 Exactly what I was going to say. Also Scarlet Nexus is a much smaller game than Outriders with a fraction of the budget.

I can see it because Sony and Square have always been close, but can't see it because most people buy Square games on PS platforms already so there's not much to gain for Sony in the long run. I just hope trash MS doesn't swoop in and buy them. That would be a major death blow for AAA Japanese games.

Its hilarious how you spin this as a Sony missed opportunity. Why would Sony want a female version of Uncharted that sells a fraction of their own franchise even though its multiplatform? All the rest of the franchises are dead and require massive investments to make them relevant again. It's a pretty easy choice to save $300 million and invest in new IPs like they usually do.

I don't think Sony is really interested in Square as a purchase. The overwhelming majority of people buy their major franchises on PS platforms already so there's not that much to gain from them.

@Shstrick Its probably timed exclusivity and the fact that porting a game from PC to Xbox is super easy since Xbox is just a cut down version of Windows. Otherwise Switch would probably be the priority since indie games do insanely well there.

Meanwhile they're destroying the industry buying up publishers to gatekeep previously multiplatform games forever. Microsoft doesn't even report operating profit for the Xbox division because it LOSES billions per year. This whole streaming first path is going to ruin the industry because it's just not financially viable. Nearly everything is going to be half assed free to play games so money can be made in the back end with a few AAAA games sprinkled in like Elden Ring. With sales being so common I don't understand the insane fad of GP/PsNow. If people think a trillion dollar company is "pro consumer" then you're beyond delusional.

Your codes are fine and don't have to do anything, just wait until the new service launches or your sub runs out and use them.

You realize Steam basically does the same thing except you have to pay first and then you can refund the game if you don't play it for more than 2 hours. If you had any brains you'd look at the comments and see that someone clarified that the developers/publishers have to do nothing. Playstation will curate the trials for games for them, also it hasn't even been announced to 3rd party publishers yet so they probably have the option of opting out. Either way there's no downside here, it sounds like it's basically going to work similar to Steam refunds except here you don't pay upfront and you'll be notified when your 2 hours is up. Some of you act like the world is ending over the dumbest things. Sony's put out a pretty great lineup so far and all you guys do is whine over the minuscule things.

@zimbogamer I don't get comments like this. They haven't even released a new game since December. Anything you're playing on Xbox can be played on Ps5. The amount of fanboys acting like the other side is so much better is hilarious. Xbox has released 2 games so far this entire generation, not a single one a next gen only game either.

I bet anything it's stopped temporarily so they can put a time limit on how far you can stack them. People talk about the Gamepass loopholes, but even then there's a limit on how far you can extend your subscription. I think it's 2 or 3 years. There were people extending their Psnow subs until like 2026.

For people that don't want to open the link Sony has a team that will curate the 2 hour trials FOR developers, no added resources needed for devs. Also it hasn't even been announced for 3rd party partners yet. It sounds basically like the 2 hour refund system Steam has, except you'll be stopped from playing the game at 2 hours and given the option to buy it.
