Unlike last year’s Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which was squarely aimed at fans of the franchise, Netflix’s adaptation has always looked set to plot a different path. And this trailer hammers that point home. Due out on 14th July, we’re introduced to New Raccoon City, a seemingly dystopian neighbourhood filled with Umbrella iconography.

Then, in the future, we’re transported to London, where Forspoken’s Ella Balinska is fighting off hordes of the undead against the backdrop of an apocalyptic Houses of Parliament. The reception has been, well, mixed so far – but Horizon Forbidden West’s Lance Reddick stars, and so at least you can look forward to his velvet voice.
