You could see the disappointment in Adam Boyes' eyes when he took to the stage to announce the already leaked Street Fighter V reveal at the PlayStation Experience keynote today. However, any bad blood was immediately forgotten when he later confirmed that the PlayStation 4 "will be the only console that this game ever appears on". What's more, he revealed that PS4 players will be able to play online with PC players. Neat.
Presumably in response to the leaked video, Boyes also showed off the very first gameplay trailer for the title, which you can find below. To the untrained eye, it looks remarkably similar to the franchise's previous entries, but do feel free to discuss all of the changes that have been made down in the comments section below.

This would have been a MASSIVE announcement had it not been leaked.
Dat cross play with PC should be interesting
It's eventually gonna come out on Xbox anyway. Capcom makes a million different versions of Street Fighter.
Until xbox one owners get street fighter 5 ultra
Street Fighter V will be only on PS4, but what about SUPER Street Fighter V making its way to the Xbox 1? lol. I told myself I will mostly be a Xbox1 and Wii U gamer and probably get a PS4 later, but with this, I may have to get a PS4 much sooner.
Unless they clarify all iterations of SF5 will be PS4 (and PC) only I don't believe them.
Sony co-developed the vanilla game therefore any and all editions of it will be PS4-only for consoles

best thing since finding out SF2 was coming to SNES. MEGA HYPETRAIN
When you own all the consoles, exclusivity becomes irrelevant.
So, about the game. Well first off I love Street Fighter. Been playing since I was a young child back on the SNES. Last iteration I played was SF4 3D Edition on 3DS, and I really liked that game, though I do wish it had more modes for single player.
As for this one, it looks good. Doesn't seem to match the quality of most other PS4 games, particularly those built specifically for the system, but hey, it's Street Fighter. Visuals can be forgiven.
Walls breaking away, hit after a bounce off the floor, there appears to be guard breaking as well ? Also I bet the visuals will improve as the backgrounds have no life. When SFIV was first shown, Ken and Ryu looked slightly diffrent than in the final version of I remember correctly. Can't wait for Capcom Cup next week when they play the first SFV match!
I remember when Ono said that AE would be the last iteration of IV. So I don't believe this console exclusivity.
I hope it has guard breaks.
Looks nice. Graphics are a step up, looks like Chun's got a few new moves, gameplay looks about the same, but I'm expecting some slight system changes. Every Street Fighter had a few tweaks here and there.
@sinalefa I hope guard breaks are there too. And yeah I wouldn't trust Ono. Dude admits trolling is part of his job description.
Her legs are slightly ridiculous (even for Chun Li standards lol), but otherwise this looks awesome!
This will more than likely be like back in the SNES days. The vanilla version hits one system, then holy hell breaks loose, assuming SF V is a success. It should be, seems great to me.
Looks really good, a nice little step up so far. Day one probs. Nobody cares which versions are on which consoles. Its the same damn characters beating each other up. Yawn.
"What's more, he revealed that PS4 players will be able to play online with PC players."
And that's probably one major reason why it's PS4 console exclusive. We all know how close minded Microsoft are when it comes to allowing other networks to connect to XBL.
@seeafish this is the reason that FFXIV is PS3/PS4 console exclusive. Not out of any brand loyalty or hardware specs or ecosystem or install base. Simply because MS will not alow the Xbox to play with others (although they did for FFXI, oddly enough)
