In cases like this I always think of the Last of Us. Both of those games suffer with having a longer game but SO much filler. A lot of moments which offer little story and feel like are just there to pad the game out.

I haven’t played Spider-Man 2 yet but assuming it’s not got any padding within its main missions, I’d much rather that.

(Evidently through my Joel appreciation avatar I’m a huge Last of Us fan before the inevitable replies - I do think however they pad those games out excessively)

So disappointing but it looks like this will join Gollum and King Kong. It looks truly awful.

I’d have LOVED this if it was good too.

At this point why not buy a PC with any component you like? I am joking but not sure I like this trend of buying bits and bobs for a console much.

Started a fresh game (never fully finished the first 1.0 attempt) and rushed the initial bits to open up the DLC and now taking things much slower now I’m just about to enter Dogtown.

Love everything about this game now. I still feel the perk tree is a little chaotic to read but much better:

@theMEGAniggle Haha definitely harder than it looks. And what people don’t know is how many people work on the crew so you’ve got everyone watching you fail hard, you know it’s getting filmed AND you could potentially win thousands. Lot of stress which means a simple penny machine becomes an assault course 😂😂

@AverageGamer Still argue there’s a lot of filler in these games even if you’d deem it short. ‘Go here, find this character here’. Gets a little tedious.

I’ll sit out of ordering it for Day 1. The fact they’ve taken months to patch the second game has me avoiding the third for a long time until I know it’s in tip top shape.

Also, I’ve found with both games that by the end, I’m just playing them to get them done. Think they can afford to be shorter.

I am once again here to say I’ll be playing Baldur’s Gate 3 for about the next five years.

I’ll find some room to blast some impressive guns in Cyberpunk too.

Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s one of the few games in life where you give it ‘just five more minutes’ and you’ve then realised five minutes has turned into 2 hours of gameplay. Love it:

I am thoroughly enjoying this but taken my sweet time, only just took off from Emerald Grove.

Funnily enough I’ve just encountered my first bug. I couldn’t use Square for actions and then the game got worse from there; game didn’t display a battle properly, unworkable buttons. Reloaded it and it’s fine but yeah, very odd.

I did try a run where I attempted to kill Kagha which is when the issues started - my own fault!

By the sound of it this isn’t relying on some piss poor side missions and knowing the great stories of Remedy games; I’m pumped for longer games.

To be fair, people keep saying about lack of comms but let’s not forget there’s a Starfield party going on on the ‘other side’. Makes sense to let that happen for a week or two before Sony steals the limelight.

Feel like this update has been on the horizon for so long now. Bring it on.

Regarding the price hike, I often think what’s blown up here doesn’t really represent the general mass players views. Looks like via social media that this decision will haunt Sony big time.

Either a u-turn, distraction of showcase or they announce the clear reasons why the increase (they’ve done an emulator or about to introduce first day releases) is coming round the corner.

Have they enabled an option to skip the tutorial yet? I played it in its first year and haven’t since, simply because I really don’t want to play the initial mission.

Found all of Two Point’s offerings to be too much glam and not much substance.

Might go back to it with this expansion for a bit though.

It STILL doesn’t work properly on PS5. Cannot believe these issues haven’t been fully patched and they’re already focused on PS4.

My focus is now on Ubisoft’s Star Wars effort, given up with EA.

Gotta say I’m shocked by the cheaper price to be honest. Lot of 30 hour games priced at the full ‘next-gen’ price.

This game looks properly good though and day one for me!

I had a save issue with this game; removed about 3 hours worth of gameplay all of a sudden. Not seen anyone else have the same issue but I’m holding out for a bigger update before I try it again.

Really annoyed with how long it’s taken for them to update this game, far too long.

@LifeGirl Yeah, it’s a goat game. The reviews were nothing to do with the game, purely distaste at certain themes by non-fans and probably people who’ve never played it…

Oh my god this is amazing. I have the original PS1 in its case.

Once they do this and Underground 2 they can stop there, NFS cannot be better than that and has not been for a long time. Unbound was far too aimless for me. Just dots on a map to fill out is no story thanks.

I’ll wait for the ‘EA self bans micro transactions and releases sports games biannually with meaningful changes’ article before I’m interested in any company changes..
