@Fartingale Showcases mean games. We want games or at least a sign they’re on their way. Most first party studios are just sat on their hands if their lack of announcement or glimpse into their work would have you believe.

Naughty Dog have known for a while their live service offering was off the table and even when they were working on that they were working simultaneously on their other offerings. Give us a bloody glimpse for christ sake.

@Bez87 Well put it this way, I have had a PS1/PS2/PS4 and PS5 and just bought myself an Xbox Series S for Game Pass and judging by that showcase, I just made a very smart move.

This was excellent and so, dare I say it, has been the rest of the Xbox showcase.

I half expect PlayStation will be looking nervously at their first party studios contemplating a reactive showcase announcement…

@get2sammyb Ha - I’ll admit I’m very much in camp ‘No to Live Service’ but having hoped this was more like No Man Sky when it was first mooted, its announcement was a huge letdown. I also think it let down a lot of expectations for those who were genuinely looking forward to it and in this financial climate, being ‘OK’ with no broad appeal just isn’t enough.

Think everyone involved in Fairgame$ will be slightly nervous at how badly this does to be honest….

And yes, I think this will do badly.

To give them credit, they stupidly put all their hope into live service and realised that was a disaster. It’ll take time for them to roll back and have single players ready to go but they need to just come out and say when they think these will be announced/showcased.

Give us a timeline and then the majority of fans will wait it out.

Doesn’t matter what they present, if they gear most of the showcase towards first party games and the PS5 Pro I’ll be fuming. My PS5 has very little to show for it from a first party viewpoint so I don’t care for a newer machine until this one’s had its day.

Count me intrigued but concerned about gimmicks..

Personally I’d like a new management sim IP so I'm hoping the three they’re working on is:

• Jurassic World Evolution 3
• New IP
• F1 Manager (assuming they are including an annual release in this but if not I’ll go for Planet Coaster 2)

Rockstar knows what they’re doing. This was 100% published intentionally. There will be tons of these ‘accidents’ up to release. They love winding the community up and I can’t say it doesn’t make me laugh every time.

I really want sign of life for a new SOCOM game, an update on Splinter Cell and an announcement for Naughty Dog’s next game (albeit all with CGI with a release of years away I’m sure). Oh, and ending with Ghost of Tsushima 2.

Sure Sony’s Marketing team have really appreciated this decision. Ouch.

@Matthewnh Xbox definitely starting the eventual removal of their consoles. Relying on Game Pass and their studios to sell to PC/Sony.

Sure they must be fuming at the fact they won’t have a Fallout prepared for YEARS given the success of the show.

As others have said, I think they need to create an original IP outside of the open world formula. Get some extra money and awareness along with experience to go towards their bigger IPs.

I wasn't really into the demo - what are people's thoughts on the game vs the demo?

My main issue with the demo was the area you go to after the initial action scene seemed empty and dead to explore. Are there vast open areas and are there any settlements to explore with NPCs?

Completely new engine and a vastly different career mode before I purchase the next F1 title and I’m a huge F1 fan.

F1 Manager has a create your own team mode this year so most likely purchasing that instead this year.

@Kidfunkadelic83 Content will always be censored and not just for the sake of it. Sure Last of Us had numerous rewrites to cool down certain content to not overwhelm the story with violence.

It’s not all got to be wild cultural agenda’s and the end result will never be no sex, no gore and no swearing. That will literally never happen. And in countries where that may happen one day well in the future (and even then I really believe it won’t), I’d probably argue that there will be a lot more in those specific countries to fight for outside of gaming censorship. If they’re clamping down on censorship in games, chances are there’s a whole load of laws that will need to be challenged before you get anywhere near gaming..

Anyway, that’s my own opinion on it.

If I’ve got the PS5 version and addons are showing learn more instead of purchase does it mean I did buy the bundle when I thought I did and it’s bugged or not?

All of my add ons under the PS5 version are on ‘Learn More’. I’m not purchasing anything until they solve that…

This seems like dangerous territory for any studio given the sheer success of Baldur’s Gate 3. Didn’t Techland say they wanted to go into the fantasy genre after Dying Light?

I’ll be waiting a year before purchasing to check developers are actually making use of the console.

Fallout 3 and NV will almost definitely get remakes/remasters given the success of Prime series. 100%. I even suggest they do this before Fallout 5. Lot more risks involved in introducing Fallout 5 (judging by quality of 76, can’t rely on it actually being good) to newcomers to the franchise then just updating 3 or NV imo.
