Interesting timing 🤔

This was always going to happen, only thing I was concerned about is when I want to line these games on a shelf, the boxes will be different.

Unless the next chapter is on PS6, I think I'll be okay with that.

Regardless what you think, this game won't live long.

Glad Sony got this. Despite its flaws, its still one of the best games of all time.

I'm curious to who would want to play this without playing the original or Remake.

There's nothing wrong with it, I'm sure a recap will be fine, but imo, you'll miss out on so much.

Diablo will do the trick, then it's short lived when FF16 knocks that off.

I'm a fan of Street Fighter, so hope this hangs about and gains some new players. It's not as popular as Mortal Kombat, but it's technically one of the best fighter series, maybe only Tekken is above it.

Despite every sale, I've never played Diablo 3. So not sure I'll try this.
And not PS5 means no FFXVI.

Just give us a logo of the game title and a vague release date, everyone else does...

But these remakes, I got the MGS Legacy Collection for PS3 and still very happy with that, but I don't think there's been a HD version of MGS1?

Said no to any Release Date question or if they do, they won't be released on that day.

Take2 sell their sports games at $70, which sell even if they're bugged to the eyeballs. And their games are aimmed at the casual gamer, so I can understand they're not really effected, except by having mo' money!

What other games have Take2 released at $70?

Interested to see the new fighting system, not been a fan of Mortal Kombat for a while.

Street Fighter is still my thing.

Persona series is multiplatform now, no concerns on what consoles it'll be on.

Still odd that this series started on 3 though.

Must be some new big game announcements, looks a bit quiet for the rest of 2023 post FFXVI

Love this game, I got to the 3rd chapter and had to put it down for a while.

So started a new game and I've again spent hours doing stuff before the castle invasion.

PS1, always felt like something big was coming after that, and there was, great games.

I'm not sure PS4 even has one, straight into the menu.

I played SF4 to death, even got quite competitive with it.

But SF5 I just couldn't get into, something was off. I didn't like all my mains where gone or changed massively compaired to their SF4 counterparts.

Still missing from SF6. Although, Dee Jay is back, really want Fei Long, maybe there are legal issues with him?

Must have been playing different games from most of you, Gambit system took away the suspense of a tough battle for me with mathematical percentage algorithms.

FF7R battle system I thought was great fun.

SE just milks it's old games from when they were good. That's all Sony will do

A buyout won't change anything, FF7R will probably show up on Switch 2, FF16 would probably get a Cloud and PC version next year.

If it works seamlessly this will be a game changer in Japan.

I watched a YouTube video of Pixel Game Squad going into a warehouse filled with sealed games from NES to PS4. That was 3 years ago, 214k views.

Some guy opening re-sealed games, 500k in a couple of days.

@TrickyDicky99 A game like GoW:R runs okay on PS4, so much better on PS5. Why would Sony bother release on their old gen? Because there enough player base still there. Capcom, Sega, Ubisoft all have upcoming games to be released on PS4 and PS5. There's a Gamespot article from Feb 23 says 30% of activity is PS5 out of some 112m users.

Sales figures do show these cross platform games sell better on PS5, but why not try reach out to the 70% of PS4 users?

We'd probably see most of the 70% are Fortnite/Apex players, but publishers will see numbers, so of course they'll try PS4

@Wheatly Maybe those sales figures and other cross platform releases may put them off releasing on the PS4. Figures do always seems to be in the PS5's favour.

@Wheatly that's sales data. You wouldn't look at 70m PS4 users and 30m PS5 users and think to release on PS5 only.

More people are playing PS4, probably not by a small margin.

@ShogunRok, I'm old enough to have played the PS1 version (PAL) and the loading was slow. Especially noticeable in battles, you'd wait a few seconds with the camera panning round the battle zone before the characters appeared, then the battle itself...

The PS3 version I noticed an improvement, how is the PS5 version for loading?

Still my favourite PS console due to the store, backwards compatible, the best exclusives and HD remasters, no region locks. Free online was great too!

I homebrewed one I got from a charity shop, guess that won't work for a bit.
