@Daleaf - if it were possible, i'd also make the release date nov3 - a full week ahead of MS.....plus it means i get a ps5 sooner !

@SirAngry - MS opens preorders on the 22nd - do you really think sony would allow that without their preorders going live?......i don't see ANY way sony would allow that. next week sony will be giving price, release and preorder dates.

@thedevilsjester - agree 100%. the exact release day and price mean nothing to me - i'm getting a ps5. i just want a solid preorder so i'm not checking for updates all the time.

@Gatatog - it has always amazed me that sam fisher and gabe logan, 2 of gaming best spies, haven't had their own game in such a long time.

once i heard the art style had changed, i wasn't really interested in gods and monsters (new name sucks). the only game i really wanted to see was farcry 6 and it wasn't there.

i liked the original artstyle much better. if they'd kept it this was day1 for me - not now.

@curriemonster - yea, i remember the ps3 launch - even at the price it was - fromthe time it launched, it outsold the 360 till the end of that gen.

i've never used the service before and had no intention of using it in the future - so, no loss for me.

@GilbertXI - sure. me too. if DS 2 does happen, it wouldn't have been for at least 3 years - sorry if i made it seem like i expected it sooner. as far as elden ring - i'd just like SOMETHING - even a couple gameplay screens to indicate what it could be like.

@GilbertXI - exactly what i'm hoping for - sony owns the IP so they could have any of their 1st party studios do it if FROM doesn't want to make it.

@crimsontadpoles the same way sony "counteracts" everything MS does - games. and games is what will be the difference. MS has never figured this out.

i'm LMAO at this cheap xbox. the S could be free - the LAST thing i want is a cheap "next gen" console that is really just a current gen console.

i am curious as to why sony seems to almost be coming up with reasons to NOT talk about the ps5 . i suppose no news next week as well due to a retrospective on the vita? LOL.
oh well, i'll hopefully be laughing about all of this while playing demon souls on my new ps5 in november.

@SirAngry - LOL - what i usually do is play, pause, eat a couple of wings, wetnap, start playing again. - great way to spend launch day! - and this one will be like no other for me : going to trying out the pulse headset and the (hopefully) kickbutt 3D audio. if available, it'll be demon souls first game in my ps5.

@GilbertXI - i'm with ya! this is a definite day1 purchase for me - i have a lot of confidence in housemarque.

@Gr8VngnzN4esAngr - lots of good points - i know once november gets here and i'm sitting in front of my tv playing demon souls remake and eating hotwings - i WILL have forgotten about all of the waiting. good times are coming.

@NotSmartEnough - "president for life" ? funny, coming from someone in a country that hands over millions of dollars, since the beginning of time to a family because it's deemed "royalty" while many people there stuggle to get by. LOL

i'm glad for anyone excited about this - but i'm ready for new games designed for ps5. exceptions being games made on ps3 or before getting a remake, like demon souls. i'd LOVE to see sony remake the original syphon filter or the jak and daxter series.

i was looking forward to the unique look they first showed. i'm very disappointed in the change in art direction.
edit: and that name change - why? i really liked "gods and monsters"

@SamMR i played the living crap out of the original - it was SO atmospheric and fun - i can't wait to see boletaria with new gen power. and it being a remake, there is a chance Bluepoint opens up that broken arch that From didn't have the budget to finish.

i'm expecting DS to be there day1. it's the first game i want to play and try out the 3D audio - tower of latria - i'm talking about you!

@ankehuber - 2 months to go and there has been no gameplay from a seriesx game running on a seriesx. - that is a bigger mystery to me.

@Turismo4GT - what Nvidia is selling has no bearing on me wanting a ps5. the only way the RTX matters is if it can play new, ps5 exclusives on the same day it launches on ps5 - and THAT is not going to happen.

@jamberino93 - i think it's hard to confirm a release date during a pandemic. i'm with you on price though. while i'm not concerned about the price, i do understand many have to factor that into their purchasing plans. both sony and MS need to let people know how much the consoles cost so those on a budget can decide how to come up with the cash.

i got the email yesterday. it's fine but all i want is preorder. i know i'm getting the ps5 and pulse headset - just let me preorder.

@Richnj - spiderman was only on playstation. witcher was on ALL formats - you think that's a fair sales comparison? if anything, it shows just how amazing and popular spiderman is.

@zebric21 - what does the RTX announcement have anything to do with ps5 launch?

@carlos82 - i don't think any of these lists mean much. it comes down to what each person wants to play. i'm very excited for miles morales, demon souls and a few other games (if they launch this year). but, cyberpunk doesn't interest me enough yet that i'd buy it for full price. i think it looks good and gameplay looks solid - i'm just not "wanting" it. i might try it later on if i find myself wanting something to play. i did that with fallout4 and ended up having a blast with it.

@rjejr d it is. and it's a good feeling for sure. i think the pandemic has a lot to do with it too - ps5 is one of the few good things to happen this year.

@JohnKarnes yea, i'd like to see MS compete. more good games isn't a bad thing - i just don't see it happening. they've been in the console business for 17-18 years. ori, L4D, and gears are the only games that have interested me.

@Snackfood - i'm 55 and well off financially. it takes a lot to get me real excited; and, i thought i was real excited for the ps4 launch......but this ps5 has me as excited as when i was 10 years old on the day before christmas!

@JohnKarnes - THE craziest thing to me: 60 days from launch and MS has not shown ONE game running on seriesx hardware. that, to me, is mind-boggling.
