@NEStalgia i have nothing to base this on, but my feeling is that those places putting up preorders simply closed them because sony might have said to? there is NO way over 10 million preorders were taken in the short amount of time they were listed.

@Jacko11 - could happen. i was thinking the same thing when "ragnarok" came on screen. it never said "god of war" - just ragnarok with kratos voice.

not that it means ANYTHING - i like the white box with the blue at the top.....very striking.

@AJDarkstar - i'm going to keep mine for now. if i can bring resogun, SSHD , everybodys golf and snowrunner over to ps5, i'll shut it down. if i can't, i'll be keeping it for those games.

i tried gamestop.com - i got one in my cart but it wouldn't let me check out. said, not available. they all couldn't have been taken that fast - preorders tonight are really wonky. we'll just have to wait to see what goes on tomorrow - good luck!

demon souls and spiderman make this a great start. i was hoping for bugsnax at launch too but the other 2 will keep me very occupied

i don't need any extra controllers. i am getting the pulse headset for sure.

@Shepherd_Tallon - i guess it's possible. what surprised me is how much i liked it. i'm not a FF fan and the only one i really liked was #7 - but this one looks excellent to me.

MM looked amazing. day1 for sure.

@KidKnee_90 - do you keep the console in standby? i keep mine in that mode and it always updates as soon as the patch is available. then when i turn the system on to play, there is a notification saying an update was done.
edit: if it doesn't update in standby - check the settings - that might not be turned on.

@Turismo4GT - that's not what's being said. there are articles saying SSDs should allow game size to be smaller on ps5 .

no way they show GoW today. it's too soon. and they shouldn't show it. this should be about launch games and what's coming in the next 4-6 months.

@MichaelHawj - me too. i'm counting on them saying demon souls, spiderman, bugsnax are launch games. hoping for ratchet and returnal to follow in the next 2-4 months.

i want demon souls gameplay and for it to be a launchgame (i think it is). i also want to see more of spiderman and bugsnax and returnal. as for the future - something unexpected. price i don't care about -i'm getting a ps5, regardlesss. i do want to know when preorders start. i woudn't mind seeing the UI - but i think that will come maybe at PAX on friday or sometime in october.

@BRUTALSAM - uh, they're also at PAX, 2 days after this show. so, no it's not the last one - and i fully expect at least one more show in october to talk more on the tech side of the ps5.

@Grumblevolcano i think they'll talk more about the tech side (UI, SSD) at PAX on friday or a later date. i think tomorrow is launch games gameplay - a few other game surprises and price/release date/preorder date

@Shepherd_Tallon - judging from some comments the last couple of days - some people have very unrealistic expectations.

@ShogunRok k - that doesn't make any sense - so, going forward, the word "monster" isn't allowed to be used by anyone in the WORLD? i could see if another drink company tried to use it; but, this has nothing to do with drinks.

@G8crasha - considering this is just rumor, it's hard to say it will impact anything.

@Razrye888 - yea, i caught that too. and this rumor starts right after herman hulst, last night, said that sony is ready for the launch.

herman hulst tweeted "WE'RE READY" yesterday. and there is nothing to gain for him to lie. i'll take that over a rumor.

@glassmusic - agreed. but this is why it comes with a 1-year warranty.

@Porco - are you saying sony would lower quality control? or that it would be lower because of......what?
and i've owned every PS console on day1 - except for a couple of controllers that went bad (i lost my launch ps4 controller a few months ago) i've had no hardware issues.

@Northern_munkey - i'm with you. i'm completely focused on getting my preorder - i'm really wanting to play demon souls all day on day1!

@Ichiban - me too! i just hope a lot of people are hung up on price, psnow, gamepass or whatever when preorders open - gives us more time to get that preorder in!

@thedevilsjester - i understand the extra costs. but sony doesn't operate in a bubble. every other company that rolls out new hardware has those costs as well. so, as far as where the black and red liines are determined, those are determined by "cost to make" vs "retail price".
i wasn't trying to argue with you - your comment didn't say anything about the console costing 450 to make so i was just throwing that out there. i (along with many others) fully believe the price will be 499/399. and, i don't see that price dropping for quite a while.

@TheAdza - i don't. i expect demon souls, spiderman bugsnax to be at launch. i'll also be playing GoT again plus that free dlc they have coming - and i want to play LoU2 on ps5 (along with quite a few other ps4 games i own).

@thedevilsjester it's already been reported it cost 450 dollars to make.

i think the price will be 499 and 399. with these types of rumors, by tomorrow, sony will be selling the ps5 for 100 dollars. LOL

@Noob_Saibot - the only 3rd party devs MS could get that i think would be a big loss for sony (in terms of 3rd party games) would be techland, Bethesda, or Fromsoft. the ones you mentioned aren't that big of a deal. i do see the point you're trying to make, but i remember when MS bought Rare and i thought that was a HUGE deal - and Rare hasn't been anywhere close to as good a dev house as they were when they were making nintendo games.....so, just buying up devs isn't everything.

@Salohcin and i'd agree with you if theyhad enough games (old or new) that i want to play - they don't. and that being said, show me one survey that shows xbox outselling sony next gen. - because there aren't any. as of now, show me ONE game MS has showed gameplay of that's running on an actual xbox seriesx? show me one great exclusive MS has for their upcoming launch? show me one exclusive MS has hinted might come to the seriesX in the first year???? IF xbox does manage to get a consistent stream of high-quality 1st-party games - that, combined with gamepass would be a good deal. but, after 18 years of not figuring out the 1st-party issue, i 'm not holding my breath. forget leading the console market, let me know when MS even manages to get out of last place.

@Noob_Saibot - explain then, why "the richest company" has fallen on their collective faces for the entire 18 years they've been in the console market. i have no clue why you think MS is a threat - this gen has been a disaster for them.

@jdv95 i think all of us that want one feel that way. i'm in the states and i'm a little jumpy right now - once i get that preorder, i'll be able to relax.

it's a 40 minute show about launch games and what's coming in the near future. i'm sure we'll get price, release date and preorder date. i'm really hoping to see demon souls and spiderman gameplay.

@OmegaStriver - 25 years of success and consistent great games gives me a lot of confidence in sony. i'm really looking forward to Wed. and Fri.
