Why does everything has to be a roguelike/lite 😫

I'm all for hating AI but the more important question here, do we really need a PS6?

The biggest upgrade that the PS5 had over the PS4 is that it looks way cooler next to my tv.
Sure it runs a bit better, but I just as much enjoy playing PS4 than PS5.

Increased production cost with diminishing returns on perfomance in a world where poverty is rising all make it incredibly likely that a PS6 will fail

@4fold No, AI literally can't learn context. There is no intelligence in AI, it's just pasting together pieces of human works from it's database.

@4fold you really don't have any clue how AI works. It doesn't behave like a human, in fact it doesn't have any clue what it's doing.

For example you want to generate an artwork fo a chair. The AI knows what a chair looks like, because it's trained on thousands of images involving chairs, but doesn't know what a chair is used for and how it functions.
While a human knows a chair has 4 limbs and needs a stable underground to function, the AI is clueless and often generates chairs with 2 limbs, floating above the ground and other weird things.

That lack of understanding is why AI art is so weird and offputting, all the elements from the prompt are there, but nothing makes sense.

Let's face it, the only reason why they're even thinking about a next generation is so that every major publisher can remaster their classics and sell them for full price.

Gaming has peaked at PS4 (or maybe even PS3). The PS5 brought almost nothing new to the table and they PS6 will be even worse...

These days AAA are bland and boring as hell.
I might give it a try once it comes to PS+, but I really don't have any hopes for this one.

BL is one of those series I'm always eager to try, because everything about it looks right up my alley. But once I actually play them I get bored in a few hours.
I'll wait for BL4 to come to PS plus.

On the game itself, I'm only 2 hours in and I'm definitely enjoying it. The early hours I'd rate a 7/10 hoping it will go up.

Meh I find AAA games to be incredibly bland and soulles lately so I should prob deduct 2-3 points from the review scores.

I'm definitely up for a shmup, especially one that's a bit newcomer friendly.

Rayman Legends was amazing!
Even after the insane platinum grind it's one of my favorite 2d platformers.

Will definitely try out Psychonauts 2

The removing and re-adding of spiderman is BS.
Other than that it's a great month, looking forward to trying Unicorn Overlord that I won't be able to finish because I never have time and a massive backlog.

I've been a huge Diablo fan for my whole life, but I knew D4 was gonna be terrible with the way Blizzard was heading.
Been playing it since last month expecting a great campaign and terrible endgame, but was met with the worst campaign of the whole franchise.
I'd rather go back to the original Diablo then play this crap.

I love the old school turn based jrpg's! Nowadays it feels like every rpg tries to reinvent the wheel with an overly convoluted battle system.

Meh in theory the offering seems good, maybe even great. But in reality I only played 4 of the games, which includes only 30 min of dragon age and High on Life, where I had a miserable time getting the paltinum.
Stanley Parable was fun, and I'm currently being pretty disappointed with Diablo 4.

Sell xp boosters to make the pacing like intended

Open world games are so overdone, thank god there is a shift back to games becoming more linear.

I have to get signalis at some point, but I'll probably wait.

I guess I'll play the D4 campaign for a bit. Don't really expect to like any of the endgame.

Couldn't get into the first game, might try it again one day. The shameless product placement was really off-putting tho.

There is a big reason I've never bought it while being a huge Diablo fan.

The game started out as a 10/10 but ended up being a 6/10 for me. The quality drop was insane (especially in Abby's campaign).
From open zones with lots of exploring and scavenging to straight paths from A to B with very little side content.

The game made me really feel like I was playing checkpoint to checkpoint instead of being immersive. It's really cheap in blocking off paths by putting a chair and a bkx in front of it, I guess that door is unusable now xD

And don't get me started about how the game tries to gaslight you at every opportunity.

I really don't get how people perceive this game as a masterpiece, but guess that's just me.

The trailer looks extremely generic and boring. Sounds like another game that will he dead on arrival.

I'm glad that almost all major releases come to a subscription service eventually.
Because tbh almost every AAA game I try is bland and boring as hell these days, even the ones that getting great reviews everywhere.
There is barely any creativity left in AAA gaming, it's all monetisation driven these days.

The only games really worth buying are the indie gems.

I agree with the calls for a minimap or some kind of markers.
The environments are way to confusing to navigate. I spend way too much time in the game accidentally backtracking.

@crackeastwood astro's playroom was decent, haven't played Jak and Daxter, didn't like Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart.

I never buy full price games anyway. The only exception I made was for Clair Obscur because they are really fair with their price point.

I'm a bit torn on the first game, the main story was okay but the platinum cleanup is dreadful. I only need 1-2 hours more to unlock the last few trophies but the post game is atrocious.

Although I normally hate 3d platformers, this one looks dope!

Great month! I'd definitely get the platinum for Alone in the Dark and Bomb Funk sounds amazing.

The Balatro platinum is far from impossible, it's mostly a very tedious grind.
I got it in around 190 hours I believe, at the cost of killing all future enjoyment from the game.

Combat sucked and I really dislike open world games, so I only got like 10-20 hours in at most.

In theory he is right and $80 isn't much for a great game that offers 20-40 hours of entertainment.
But in reality the game market is so oversaturated that we can get similar experiences for $10 or even lower. Especially those who are willing to wait.

It might be the worst month so far.
I might give gloomhaven a quick spin but other than that I'm not interested in anything.

I already have the platinum for Balatro and no interest in the other games.

I haven't played a GTA game since GTA2 and I'm not really planning on starting now.

I hope it will turn out great for the fans, but I'm very sceptical seeing how long it's been in development.

Just because something doesn't create infinite growth in a finite economy doesn't mean anything.

Personally I love the subscription services, since I get to try a lot of games that I would've never touched if it wasn't for PS+

It's more likely that the execs identified a gap in their bank accounts and want to pit out a monetization driven live service game.

I had a good time playing through it, but let's be honest, almost all of the game is filler/bloat.

I'm never planning to revisit the game again and I'm not even sure if I would play through the 2nd part once it becomes available on PS+

So I guess everyone who doesn't already own a PS5 will get priced out now, great move by sony.
Console prices should go down over the course of its lifespan, not up...

Funny how the word "premium" has lost all its value.

I might check out Hogwarts Legacy, Blue Prince and Lost Records. Overal a pretty solid month, but not sure if any of those games are gonna stick for me.
