Re: Poll: Do You Have a PS5?

Urrggghhh

I usually wait for the first price drop before I get a new console. By then there's more games out (and the launch games are cheaper).

I could have been tempted to get a ps5 though since I've saved money last year with no holiday and no nights out. Bought a new telly so would like a ps5 since my ps4 isn't even a pro (no UHD gaming for me). So if buying one had been easy I probably would have caved.

Is the next version likely to come with more storage? That could be another thing worth waiting for.

Well the bloody prove your not a bot things are not obviously working, even though I seem to fail them on a regular basis.

It would be cool if they changed the law on this. But I thought the tories prefer deregulation? Let the markets decide, greed is good and all that. Thatcher's legacy still going strong.

Re: Sony Processing Cyberpunk 2077 Refunds for PS5, PS4 Players

Was originally gonna pre-order but then I saw a trailer and thought "oh this looks like a cheap knock off of Cyberpunk" then realised it was a trailer for Cyberpunk. So I already thought this game had been oversold with the stuff they were promising years ago.

In fairness I want game developers to think big, but equally I don't want to play an unfinished product.

Re: PS5 Coil Whine Complaints Intensify as System Launches in Europe

Urrggghhh

My xbox 360 sounds like it's gonna take off sometimes and that's the slimmer and apparently quieter version. So I can't see this being something that would bother me.

There always seems to be some issue with a new console, this seems pretty minor. My ps4 had the ejecting discs problem (waited until warranty had ran out until it started though) which only happened to the chunky ps4s (thank the gods for YouTube guides explaining how to fix it with electrical tape). Makes me wonder if it's better to wait for the slim version of the ps5 (but then money saved during lockdown is burning a hole in my pocket).

Re: The Last of Us 2: All the Tiny Details You Missed

@Matroska about the bloody footprints, Ellie can leave bloody prints if she steps in a pool of blood from an enemy. I first noticed Dina step in blood and leave bloody prints (it was in the snow so it really showed up). I tried it later in the game with Ellie and I initially didn't think it worked but I think I just hadn't stood in the right part of the blood pool.

Re: Talking Point: The Last of Us 2 Spoilers Discussion

Saddest part of the game was the loss of....

... Abby's gains RIP that's 4 years of training down the drain. And her braid just to add insult to injury.

Finished the game today, really enjoyed it, is enjoyed the right word? It was pretty horrific in places but it made me feel more than most media has of late.

Poor Shimmer, I expected her to die but still. When Dina started her dad joke with a line about Shimmer seeming ill I was so worried she was actually sick, laughed so hard when I realised it was just a bad joke.

I thought going from Ellie to Abby was a really good idea. You go from happily murdering everyone to feeling really ***** about it. I didn't expect to change my mind about Abby. At first I thought it was funny seeing things from Abby's side, I'd be like "tee hee, there's your friend Nora, Ellie's going to murder her later". But I came around to her. I was gutted that Ellie couldn't give up on revenge even when Dina was begging her to stay. Fighting Abby at the end just felt awful, I was glad she couldn't go through with killing her even if she realised too late. (As for her killing hundreds of other people that's just video game rules, we need something to do.)

The game somehow took me a full 360 about the dogs. I started off not wanting to kill them because "aw poor dogs". Then after getting Ellie's face ate so many times I was like "okay f you dogs!" Right back to "oh no not Alice!" I was genuinely more sad that I'd killed Alice than the pregnant lady (Mel was mean to Abby, understandable but still).

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered Reportedly Launching Fall 2020

Urrggghhh

Just replayed 1 and 3 (skipped 2, I've played it lots and unpopular opinion but it's not my favourite). The graphics didn't really bother me. Things like not enough autosaves in me1 were more of a pain. While my xbox is still kicking dunno if I'd really need a remaster, can't see them making much improvement.

Currently replaying andromeda and there are certainly improvements in gameplay (more the jump jets and the driving than the sudoku) but it's too big and I miss our galaxy. The animations made me laugh but I could live with it. The biggest mistake imo was the move to another galaxy. You spend 3 games creating a fleshed out galaxy and then you mess the ending up so bad you have to travel across dark space to get away from it.

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy HD Remaster Is Finally Happening, Apparently

Urrggghhh

I think ME1 still has to be my fave. Maybe because it's the first so the galaxy and the aliens were new. And I actually like the Mako, I love the idea of Shep frightening her crew with her terrible driving.

I replayed ME1 with my favourite Shepard just to have something comforting to play for lockdown. The gameplay is fine, biotics are over powered (except against drones) and enemies all just run at you shouting "enemies are everywhere! I will destroy you!" But that's kind of part of its charm, I'd probably be disappointed if they changed it.

Re: Feature: PSVR Had a Great Start, But It's Time to Up the Ante

Urrggghhh

The moves are the main issue for me, I wanted to like them for Skyrim (shooting fire from your hands is cool) but I had to go back to the controller. Still really great experience. The aim was great though I've only used it for farpoint so far.

The resolution doesn't really bother me, sometimes the scale irks me though. They really need a slider so you can adjust it easily. Although I dunno if part of my problem is that I'm short irl (therefore on games like blood and truth it seems odd to me that I'm as tall as the men in the game).

I do think psvr is making vr more accessible, even if it hasn't sold in huge numbers it's the sort of thing ppl show to their friends so it's putting the idea out there.
