really stupid story but when they added the expansion, they had a bundle for Shadow Tactics with a PS4/PS5 tag so I'm like oh the game got an upgrade. Turns out the PS5 part was the artbook, the game was still native PS4 so I had to refund. Now this. Bah.

the problem I have with Silksong right now is what I call the rake problem (from Sideshow Bob episode) where you want to like the game but every now and then something hits you across the face. Whether it's double damage all over the place, bad benches (and hidden ones! which cost lots of money!) wonky hitboxes, flying enemies that input read, horrible runbacks, it's just...a bit much.

I love people dumping on this. From the goodwill generated by the Hitman games to the fact that their SoP trailer is #1 in views on the Playstation channel from that whole stream, not to mention the brand recognition, anyone going "why do this?" is not thinking 4 dimensionally.

it'd be nice if more games were "finished" day one but it's funny Red Dead 2, both God of War games and even Elden Ring got day one patches but we all kind of let it slide but this game gets one and everyone's like "uh oh, broken game incoming!"

This is something where Game Pass maybe has its place. I know we shouldn't value a game's merits based on its price but a 70$ game that's 5 hours long with little to no replay value? Yeah I'll wait.

I dont get how some games get a pass for basically being like other things but then others it's like "this game doesn't do anything new". I mean if I can be honest, neither did Lies of P. Some people really are looking for another-one-of-those.

at some point when you look at Sarah Bond, Aaron Greenberg, Matt Booty and big daddy Phil and we've had yet another round of layoffs, you have to wonder why heads are not rolling and people getting fired or resigning.

It's one of the few games that people try to convince you that your opinion is wrong.

Didn't like Red Dead 2 or Persona 5? Well you know, different strokes, not every game appeals to everybody etc

It's like we get it, you like this game but this evangelizing of that entire franchise is tiresome.

SoP was better but SGF ran into 2 problems: leakers talking about games or potential announcements that are no-shows (because they're at Xbox) or they're not showing up at all so people's expectations are through the roof.

2nd thing is that while ppl love buying and playing their indies, people want the heavy hitters with these showcases: your RE9's, your Bloodborne remake (also stop asking for this, holy crap), your Half Life 3 (lulz!) your Silksongs. It's like going to a musical band concert and only wanting to hear the hits but then complain they don't play b-sides anymore. Dumb analogy I know.

I like the game for the most part, I just don't like the attitude people have to stuff like Summer Games Fest, VGA's or State of Plays. You can have amazing stuff announced but "yeah but no Bloodborne, therefore 4/10 show".

I don't blame Sony for this entirely. They can't keep making these massive AAA blockbuster epics that take 5-6 years to make and cost crazy amounts of money and hope they get some of that back.

using HDR on graphics mode and I was like "guhdamn, now I want that ps5 pro". It looks fine? on resolution mode but this is a super pretty game but it does look choppy.

if only it was 35$. in Canada it's 45 which I know people hate this kind of thing but that's a bit steep for a beat em up when some games are like 20 bucks

the thing for me with Concord is that, at its core, it's a fun game to play so they have a foundation to work off of. Whether people would care if they went F2P, idk.

It's amazing some people legitimately cant fathom some people actually like this game.

One of the most addicting 6/10 games in awhile.

Like playing the characters and the looting/build options but my survivability has tanked once I hit hard mode and the RNG loot drops which require RNG loot drops which are done through RNG missions, it's just a bit much...

I think it's the camel breaking straw. It's like when League of Legends was the rage and everyone was trying to make their own. Announce a new moba and people are like "oh lord another one". Concord isn't doing anything egregious on a gameplay level; it's just throwing their hat into a hole that's already chockful of hats.
