Starfield. There's enough smoke to suggest there's bound to be a fire somewhere. Hellblade 2. Why keep your sequel when the original was first on PS? Ori Collection: people love their Metroidvanias and it's already on Switch Killer Instinct: sorry to say but PS is where fighting games are at.
Square's been making silly decisions for awhile now. Harvestella, Diofield, Valkyrie Elysium, TWEWY sequel and whatnot would release with barely any marketing, no budget and in real close proximity to each other. Octopath 1 is STILL not on Playstation, Harvestella and Triangle Strategy was PC/Switch only.
my problem with 4 even on release was I just dont like the map. FO3 is still my favorite, DC area taking up a small portion but the actual wasteland felt dead and melancholic. New Vegas might as well be Mad Max how it's just dunes and deserts and whatnot.
Boston takes up such a large portion of this map. I dont want skyscrapers, I want a wasteland. Far Harbor was my preferred style.
6 hours in and I'm enjoying so far (barring some tough enemies). Sometimes it's nice to play a game that's exactly what you hoped it would be: give me Assassins Creed/Tsushima but combat of Nioh and Wo Long. Nothing wrong with having a checklist open world as long as I enjoy the world and so far, I am.
I always wonder if people don't like these selections because they don't like the games themselves or they're going "where's Elden Ring, how come my free game isn't Ragnarok or Spider-Man 2?"
Beat the game on PS4 but I got up to Ellie Day One and I'm not digital foundry where I could see tessellation and occlusion and all the fancy tech but this game doesn't LOOK remastered at all, it's like your memory is thinking it's just the PS4 version. As a game, I still don't get the praise for it because other than gameplay and graphics, this story is woeful.
I just got the platinum for Wild Hearts so for now I'll either pop into more Alan Wake 2 or just play random stuff. Prince of Persia unlocks for deluxe people on Sunday night I think so killing time until then.
the Atelier series became way more lenient to almost non-existent with time limits as it went on so people could probably start with the Mysterious trilogy or the Ryza ones and go from there.
By default it's my GOTY since I haven't completed many of the heavy hitters but even I'll admit this game is too back-and-forth for me.
Stunning boss fights, gorgeous graphics, great music, likable cast and surprisingly fun combat but tedious AF side quests, some really lulls in the story, a horrendous FF villain, gear and RPG systems that are undercooked, the intriguing GoT political intrigue eventually turns into "god-like a**hole wants to remake/destroy the world" typical plot and it feels like the Clive show and not a Final Fantasy cast like before.
I'm torn cause I want the Granblue fighting game next week but a shopping list of Spider-Man, Alan Wake, Lies of P and Armored Core is probably a biiiiiit much
It's a good game but there's not much else to it. It's a game where the story feels simultaneously rushed and crammed but then not much happens in it. The "Ragnarok" segment is pitiful, the first Atreus/Girl segment in the woods goes on for far too long and the final boss encounter is lacking in scope. 2018 was better.
I wish they told us why there's an increase other than vague talk. Is stuff like Stellar Blade or Rise of the Ronin day one on the service? Fair tradeoff. Or all those PS1/PS2 classics just sitting there like the original RE games or the Fatal Frame trilogy? Or better selection for the classics catalog? Instead we get a "it'll get better bro, trust us"
I honestly feel without the Bungie name, people would've thrown in the towel on Destiny a long time ago. There's been so much BS or odd decisions that I'm surprised more people haven't been like "okay that's enough, I'm done"
"look Sony's better than us! They're smarter, sexier, have better clothes and put the cereal first before the milk so for the love of god, let us buy Activision!"
The response to this game has been disappointing. It's not a secret 9/10 but people are acting like its this abomination that should've been cancelled and I'm like "I've beaten the game, this is just hyperbole egged on by social media"
I'm really torn about buying these cause been wanting to finish them yet there's no native PS5 version, they're locked to 1080p on all PS consoles apparently and if there's a PS5 version later, will it have save transfer considering games like Y7 and Lost Judgment didn't?

Re: Talking Point: What's Next for Xbox Games on PS5, PS4?
Starfield. There's enough smoke to suggest there's bound to be a fire somewhere.
Hellblade 2. Why keep your sequel when the original was first on PS?
Ori Collection: people love their Metroidvanias and it's already on Switch
Killer Instinct: sorry to say but PS is where fighting games are at.

They're lucky FF14 is such a hit, honestly.

Re: Video: Does Fallout 4 Look Better on PS5?
I will say it looks slightly more cleaner, a bit more crisper but 30 fps felt rough. Turning the camera around I was like "nope!"
Re: Stellar Blade (PS5) - A Stellar PS5 Debut Destined to Become a Fan Favourite
"a dire english dub"
it makes me wonder actually...when people talk about boring stories or uninteresting characters, I'm wondering if it's because of language choice.
Re: Preview: Tails of Iron 2 Adds Monster Hunting, Undead Bats in Scaled Up Sequel
Oh boy, last time a sequel went MonHun was Salt and Sacrifice and I disliked that game a lot so here's hoping this isn't that
Re: Mini Review: The Last Faith (PS5) - Competent Metroidvania Scratches That Bloodborne Itch
I find it funny the list of downsides feel like the same sentence just re-worded 3 times.
Re: Rumour: Unsurprisingly, a Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Sequel Is In Development
Hopefully it's 60 fps right from the get-go.
Re: Digital Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Owners Unable to Unlock Platinum Trophy
Yeah sure, just reinstall 150 gigs to fix a trophy, no biggie!

Re: Shadows of the Damned Remaster Is Now Hella Remastered, Playable at PAX East
Only thing I remember about this game was a turret section with a huge gun acting as his c*ck and a bird going fuuuuuuuuk yooooooou!

Re: League of Legends Fighting Game Officially Called 2XKO, Confirms 2025 Release on PS5
the League or Riot account thought of "League Fighting Game", as in LFG. Which is way better than this name.

Re: Stellar Blade Springs Back to Life as Anticipated PS5 Exclusive Nears
I'm not kidding, this is my #1 of this year, even edging out FF7 Rebirth so I'm pumped to this thing come out.

@dschons I saw the Incredibles. No capes!
Re: Square Enix Confirms AI Art Use in PS5, PS4 Exclusive Foamstars
want to blame anyone, blame their new CEO. he said they were going to, using his words here, "aggressively" go after using AI.

"Masterpiece" is getting thrown around way too often these days.

Re: Diablo 4 Season 3 Set for the 23rd January
I think I'll wait for the expansion to be honest. "Diminishing returns" is the term for Diablo 4 to a tee
Re: PS5's Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Doesn't Want You to Forget About Its February Release
this game should honestly get delayed till April, there's like nothing in there other than Eiyuden and Unicorn Overlord.

the Atelier series became way more lenient to almost non-existent with time limits as it went on so people could probably start with the Mysterious trilogy or the Ryza ones and go from there.

Obama giving himself the medal meme right here.
Re: Surprise! PS5 Exclusive Stellar Blade Has Been Delayed to 2024
For me, the fact that they delayed it into 2024 is not the big deal for me. That goes to them confirming it for next year.

Stellar Blade
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Rise of the Ronin

I really want the Granblue fighting game but we'll see if game award sales are. As for January, probably nothing and then Persona 3.
Re: Fallout TV Series Images, Plot Details Revealed, Out in April 2024
There better be a battle set-piece set to an old 50's tune or it's not reaaaaallly Fallout.
