Wolverine (already sold), Silent Hill Townfall (paid for by selling Wolverine) and Control Resonant (Birthday gift). No intention whatsoever in gta 6, but hope those who buy it enjoy it

I think.... when PS6 releases, there'll be a disc drive available purely for PS5/4 games backwards compatibility, because Sony have no way to really do the disc to digital thing that Xbox are doing, and people now expect to be able to play their last gen games. I think gamers have to accept that all PS6 games will be digital. Unless there's a huge change in policy of course...

My daughter got me the disc version for my birthday. Looking forward to it

Well, I collect the Studio Ghibli blu-rays, and Netflix has most of the anime i watch, so... as others have said, I hope its an optional thing

Here's my view: I bought Halo MCC on disc for xbox one years ago. I then bought Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach digitally. MS took away my digital copy of Reach for reasons to this day I still don't understand. It took me over 8 years to get my digital purchase/licence back after much complaining and showing my digital receipt over and over again. An all digital future sucks conkers

Its gotta be next gen. No way would a base ps5 or series x deliver these kind of visuals?!

Oh no. R.I.P Hayden Panettiere aka Claire Bear 😔

2 crappy digital only ports.
This doesn't help the digital v disc argument either...

Well, I've already made peace with the PS5 being the end of my PlayStation journey, and I've been with them from the very beginning. My PS plus expires in November and i won't be renewing. I'm now of the mindset that even if Sony decide to reverse their digital only position, I really don't care. I also sat down and went through how much I'd get from CEX for my PS stuff and its around £1100. Over to you Xbox...

Kiss goodbye Halo continuing on Playstation with those kind of sales figures then...

Pre ordered it from Very for £39.99. Its gone back up to £44.99 now though. Really looking forward to diving back in!

@Rich33 I can't verify by phone as I'm on giffgaff payg (been with them from the beginning). Oddly, I downloaded the xbox app onto my phone to check the verification there, and my account was verified. I must of been on xbl way before I had a PSN account.

@ButteredCrumpet I've just done a bit of research on Yoti - they don't fill me with much confidence to be honest. Thanks for the reply

Um off topic, but has anyone been yeeted off online communications on their playstation yet? The age verification thing has kicked in for me and I can't do anything. I can't even send screenshot to friends or upload my gameplay to youtube anymore. Had my PSN account since 1/2/2012

So, just how much would you list a phat PS5 (disc version) bought in 2022 for? Asking for a friend...

Watched Markiplier play this or something similar on YT a while back, and saw the reviews and bought it. It really is a lot of fun

Well, obviously I'm a Sony main, but i still have a mix of 125 xbox one and x360 discs if Xbox were to include a separate drive on the Helix... though that's unlikely of course. Switch 2 anyone?

@Dogbreath so owning nothing is to 'grow up'?! They can & do remove any digital purchases with the push of a button.
Example: on xbox i bought Halo reach digitally, I sold my xbox one as I used my PS4 more, next gen rolls around, I couldn't get a PS5 at launch so got a Series S as that was the only new gen console available to me at the time. Halo Reach disappeared from my download list, xbox had removed it. They said I hadn't bought it. Thank God I kept my digital receipt. I still haven't been refunded or had the digital licence given back. If digital is for you, good for you, but at some point you' will get stitched up

Off topic, but, anyone noticed on the PS app that all the GTA colours have gone? Have Sony p*ssed of Rockstar too?

Well Sonys stock market price has actually risen slightly, so I don't think they or their investors give a flying f what us gamers think or want

Some of the flak PlayStation has been getting on twitter/x has been so great to see, particularly Dominoes! 🍕

Forza Horizon 5. Barn finds. I've found them all but the last one won't open up until I've got more accolades. Might also replay Resi 3 if it isn't too humid

And to think on Pure Xbox the mirth making was over Sony laying off Bungie staff. Now Xbox raise console hardware prices. To and Fro. Back and forth. F*** AI

@get2sammyb @Bingoboyop fair point guys. I still hope it doesn't set a precedent though

Yikes. Also, wheres the logic in buying one without a controller? I hope thats not going to be a thing going forward for PS, Xbox and Ninty. We don't want to encourage that sort of shenanigans

Just to give people an idea the cost of memory, my kids clubbed together to get me a DAP last year for my birthday with 512gb micro sd, the card was SanDisk one and was £44.99, the same card now retails for over £180. Its not just gaming, its everything that requires memory. I for one, hope AI goes the way of the Dodo

@AI-Generation I think Sony have caught onto your favourite phrase: "Sod 'em"...

Are those biscuits real? They look fire! 🔥

The Xbox games I 'own' on PS are:
Minecraft Dungeons,
Forza Horizon 5.
That's it. I will be getting Forza Horizon 6 (happy to pay full asking price for that) and Halo when its discounted.
I would've bought Halos 2,3, Reach and maybe 4. Everything else now owned by MS I got fromPS+, like the CoDs

Well, seeing as though we probably won't now be getting Halo 2, 3 etc, I've decided I'll wait until its £20 or lower.

Sony need a good kick up the ass to be honest. Look how much they're charging for the Xperia VIII for example. They've signed away their TV division. They're a shell of their former selves now
@THEBrew Wow. I guess Labour were to blame for the $300 dollar steamdeck price increase too huh? Lol

Farage will probably keep this age verification too - whenever he gets in, he'll be too busy down the pub

I've had 2 emails about this since the bank holiday, needless to say, jog on

Off topic, but has anyone else had the problem where you go to your game library, and you hide games/demos or whatever, leave the the library, go back and all the hidden games etc are showing in your library again? Annoying as heck. Anyway, on topic, maybe they are going to match Xbox (sorry, XBOX) by reducing the price of their most expensive tier?! No, I doubt it too. This gen has been truly woeful

I'm one of the odd ones that like Second Son and First Light way more than the older games so I probably wouldn't bother

I have a friend who works for a well known UK retailer, and can confirm that sales for all PS5 consoles have tanked.
Switch 2 is still doing great and there's been a moderate uptick for Xbox.
Its a bit strange considering Sony said they had enough memory chips at the start of the year

@Fizza Cool, thanks. I haven't had a chance to read through all the gubbins yet

Ok, stupid question alert: will this affect me buying an age restricted digital game going forward, or is this unaffected? Had both my PS and Xbox accounts since around 2011

Here in the UK, I know Argos at least are still selling at the pre- price increase. I think Very are too- on SOME of their bundles

Bring it on!! Having Japanese ancestry, I've been hoping for a Japanese FH for ages now. Can't. Wait!

Looks good not gonna lie, but I'm in the tiny minority who really preferred Andrew Garfields take on the webbed wonder.

@Rich33 there's an online retailer selling 2,3 and 7 gold edition as a bundle for £29.99. We got one

I still buy PS5 discs, Blu Rays and CDs, and will continue for as long as possible. That said, when I bought Resi 9 over the weekend I had to buy online from Very because our supermarket had sold out

Can we relive the AJ/Jake Paul jaw breaker?

So looking forward to this! Code Veronica was the main reason I got a Dreamcast back in ye olde days - along with Sonic adventure of course

I think Sony done something similar with the Xperia phones. I'm pretty sure I read that the only things on Xperia's now which are 'Sony' are the camera tech and audio processing, the rest of the phone is assembled elsewhere

@3Above I tried really hard to gel with this game and couldn't get near 20% trophies- I'm really dumb at most puzzle games. Infamous: Second Son was my first ever plat funnily enough

Can't wait for the inevitable monthly Netflix price increase! :/

My cousin just bought a PS5 in the Black Friday deal from very - for £231 because he 20% off too.
