Information revealing the original prices of the PS5 console in these countries isn't as easy to track down, but residents seem to suggest these increases are just as significant as the ones that rocked other territories at the start of this month. These price rises come into effect at the end of this week, leaving potential buyers only a few days to buy a system at the current prices.

Sony said that while it understands price increases "impact our community", they're a "necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide". In response to the big PS5 price rises, sales in Japan plummeted.
