They are not going to see the diminishing returns until this generation is over. Too many people have already invested too much into the PS5 before Sony went full Dr. Evil. The PS6 though, is in deep poo.

Sony will just adjust the dynamic pricing to those that receive a payout to offset their loss. Duh.

It was included "free" when I bought my PS5, so I never felt invested in it ... my biggest dislike was hunting robot dinosaurs in stealth, taking time to stay hidden, only for it to go FUBAR quickly. Kinda felt like I was wasting my time playing it.

I wonder how many "free" copies are included in their total sales figures>

Remakes and updates to existing games and some Ubisoft (haha) tactics game. The industry has lost creativity. Glad I didn't watch this.

Cities LEGO interests me, but that will be a PC buy if it ends up being good.

I think I will wait a few years to make sure the game is still supported and to get the season 1&2 edition for discount if it is still “live”.

Nothing will make me stop this hobby more than ads. Sony is like the honey badger ... they just don't care.

Madden '09 played a dang Snickers ad in the middle of a game 17 years ago and I haven't even considered getting another Madden game since then.

It is crazy that Bioware has only put out one Mass Effect game in 14 years since #3 came out. And Andromeda came out 9 years ago to ... and they will not have a Mass Effect for the current generation ... so yeah, I would be concerned if I worked for Bioware right now.

The original Halo is one of the few multiplayer online games that I would play ... and this doesn't have multiplayer. I can just play the Master Chief collection so why bother with this remake?

The Witness depressed me. Maybe I was going thru something at the time, but just thinking about playing it makes me sad. One of the least fun puzzle games I've encountered.

Fallout Monopoly Edition is probably what the current Obsidian staff is best capable of.

It's amazing what a giant kick in the butt can do to motivate production. Although I'm sure outside "contractors" will be brought in to push these remakes out, then will be let go upon release and there will be no patch support.

I never claimed to be a smart man, but it took me about 75 hours to realize the game was a turd. That must be how long the stages of denial take to get thru. I guess that part of the billion hours played.

More lies from our savior, Todd Howard. He got slapped by Asha and realizes they may take Fallout away from him so he has to make it look like they already started. Like a bunch of kids that were supposed to clean their room before Mom and Dad got home and just realized the station wagon pulled into the driveway ...

Asha should find everyone that worked on Fallout 3 and New Vegas, offer them a bunch of money, and put them in an office at least 1,000 miles away from wherever Todd resides. Otherwise it will be 2035 before the next Fallout comes out and I don't feel I'm exaggerating with that time estimate.

Maybe offer the team a bunch of Ferrari's if they can get a Fallout game out by 2029.

Update: It apparently is releasing as a Switch version at the same time as other systems. Nice to see it isn't restricted to Switch 2 owners. Pre-orders for the physical copy are up.

I will probably wait for the Switch version to come out. I like mobility for Metroidvania games. Hopefully it gets a proper physical release.

Junk Food has solid "leverless" fight controllers. I have the micro and like it, but the Sworl controller looks pretty interesting

They are not wrong about generational talent being let go ... by the time Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, a generation will have passed.

The PS5 is powerful enough for my needs. I'm actually looking at retro handheld systems under $200 as the future of gaming along with the PS5.

If the PS6 comes out at $700 or less I may be tempted.

Benefits of going all digital:

• I don't waste $1300 on a PS6
• I will save all the dolphins that manufacturing a PS6 would otherwise kill with ecological waste by not getting a PS6
• Reduced strain on our power grid from not owning a PS6
• I get to work on my backlog of games. Games that are better than the majority of AAA titles released for the PS5
• Don't have to worry about digital thieves breaking into my home
• More time for other hobbies

I already canceled my Flex Strike pre-order this weekend, but I appreciate Sony reminding me not to spend any more money on their products.

It is the monopoly that Sony now controls that we should be united against ... instead of bickering over digital vs physical percentages. All games will be $80-$100 and nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, they will allow retailers to sell key codes (i'm sure Gamestop is cracking the champagne bottles lolz). There is no reason to not use Sony's digital storefront unless you are buying something for your grandkid.

Play has limits.

You can't sell a piece of paper with an expired code on the used market.

Even if you already buy all digital, this decision will hit your pocketbook. Sony will have a monopoly on digital pricing.

I just canceled my Flexstrike pre-order. If they are getting rid of physical games, why support their physical accessories?

I guess I will be a PC gamer going forward from the PS5. So long Sony. It was fun while it lasted.

Show us the proof. Show us the pudding. Show us the gameplay.

The PS5 version will be fixed by Saturday, October 23rd, 2077.

Pre-ordering a digital license for something you will not own is kinda nuts to me. To each their own.

I wonder if companies have discussed announcing pre-orders for digital content to be limited to increase FOMO (I imagine it has)? Not that GTA need to do this, but let's say another company has a special "horse armor" limited to the first 100K digital pre-orders.

I already have reservations about giving an 8 year old a $500 Nintendo ... no way I'm giving an 8 year old a $1000+ PS6 to drop or lose. But it may make sense to the market that can afford the PS6, which is 40+ year old dudes and dudettes.

It also means they need to make games for 40+ year old dudes and dudettes, which are single player games.

I don’t preorder games. I preordered the fight stick.

I would like to thank Nishino for telling me that Marvel Token is a live service game. I didn’t think of fighting games as live service but I appreciate him making it clear… and yeah, I guess fighting games are live service. My brain is now recalibrated.

I was going to buy this along with the Flexstrike stick but now will wait at least a year to see if they are still supporting it or go the Warner Brothers route with the last Mortal Kombat and abandon it despite selling millions of copies.

Now I have to consider if I should cancel my Flexstrike pre-order or use it for SF6 and Tekkon.
