8 years since Elder Scrolls 6 was announced. 8 years. And then we get hit with "don't expect anything soon". I'm not expecting anything soon. My kid that was born 8 years ago has better odds of getting her driver's license before this game is released.
If you can't make a good, high-quality game in less than 4 years, you need to get out of the game making business.
Look at Ubisoft Winnipeg's website. They have not done anything notable in their existence. I feel bad for anyone that loses their job, but if a Hamburger stand has been around for 8 years and only sold a few hamburgers, the talented hamburger-makers employed there would have left long ago to work for someone who cares about selling good hamburgers.
I'm I taking Crazy Pills, or did Sony not announce a similar flip flop a month ago on their exclusivity?
It makes sense for Xbox to do this. I've noticed a lot of the better games that I'm currently playing have a "Microsoft Studios" logo pop up when loading on the PS5 than have "Sony Studios" on the PS5.
I two-sentence statement for a SEI spokesperson thru Gamespot (who Gamespot didn't even identify) is not an official statement. I trust the A.I. Bot more than this response.
Sony, issue an official statement. You are falling further out of the Gamer's Circle of Trust with each move you make. My purchases are on hold until otherwise.
Good to see PS5 owners getting the have that true Bethesda Experience! I blew the dust off my Series X to see if the update made significant changes ... 7 loading screens later, I figured my objective was to stop playing StarField and get Crimson Desert. Well done, Todd Howard!
The game is a success in the fact that they are making money. But they left money on the table just because of a few tweets … it should be ahead of the first game in sales by a good margin, not trailing, especially with all the glowing reviews. If I were a developer, I would make it a term of condition upon hiring that no social media is allowed if a single tweet can cost millions of potential dollars to be lost. You will see more AI actors and voices too as a result of this phenomenon.
EA did a press release (see EA.com press releases) totally bragging about selling over 7 Million copies in three days. Three days. Over 7 million.
If you like playing a game, review it without being unbiased and I will decide from there. I have to deduct several points from a review score when I see a review site using questionable assumptions to promote buying a game.
Overall Gaming Industry Revenue has been consistent for the last 5 years ... no big drop-off after we were let out of our basements from Covid restrictions.
2020: $57.7 B 2021: $61.2 B 2022: $57.4 B 2023: $59.5 B 2024: $59.3 B
I assume the player "feedback" is based on how many copies are sold. They probably have a formula and if the payoff isn't there, then they won't waste money making the DLC. If there is payback, then they will make the DLC.

This may be the first Switch 2 game I get this year.
Re: Crazy Taxi: World Tour PS5 Only Used Generative AI for 'Reference', Insists Series Creator
Isn't the whole reason to get a PS5 Pro is for the A.I. up-scaling? The recent updates on PSSR were celebrated here.
Re: The PS5 Release Schedule for Fall 2026 Is Now Beyond a Joke
This is good news for gamers that like to wait and save money. Most of these games will be 30%-50% off by December.

Re: Sep 2025 USA Sales: Ghost of Yotei PS5 Boycott Fails, Sequel Sells 'Great'
PS4's sold as of 10/22/2020: 110.4M (source psu.com)
PS5's sold as of 10/22/2025: Over 87M (source: this site)
So about 21% smaller user base could be used. I don't know what the bump for making a sequel equates to. Halo 2 sold 54% more than Halo
This is rabbit hole you crawl down when trying to connect dots the way you want the dots connected.

No official sales reports from Sony or Sucker Punch. But according to the game journalists, it must have sold a billion copies by now. Trust 'em.
