I have been in two different CEX stores recently, and astonished by the number of PS5s for sale. One in the West Mids had 13 lined up; the one here in Bath has ten. No shortage of used models if you want one...

Completed on Series X, then re-bought for PS5 Pro. I’ve sat on it for a while, but now have a good reason to go back and play!

This totally depends on the power of the system. But given that it almost definitely won't have a disc drive, it had better be one almighty mother of a console to warrant that kind of expenditure. Having said that, I'm probably in for what may well be my last ever console.

I use a big tea tray on my lap, bags on one side of the sofa, iPad on the other. Paper manuals are rubbish; use the LEGO app or a PDF. It’s clearer, you can zoom in, and it’s easier than a great big floppy manual. My favourite set is the Saturn V. Challenging build and a terrific showpiece. My next one is the large Mario in his kart set. Might do that one this weekend.

I was a staunch Xbox fan (with the exception of Xbox One) from the first console right through till Series X. Then it just gradually seemed like every decent game was either cross platform or a PS5 exclusive. Once I was done with Cyberpunk and Starfield (ugh), the Series X seemed redundant – so I sold it. And now Xbox as a brand feels irrelevant to me. That’s how easily brand loyalty can disappear. I was actually quite anti-PlayStation all those years, but now I’m PS5 Pro all the way, with Switch 2 for Nintendo exclusives/party games. I see no need for an Xbox console any more, and one or two exclusives won’t change that. It’s incredible to me how Microsoft has squandered its position and relevance in the games market, in just a few years.

Wolverine is the only game that vaguely interests me, but that probably says more about me these days than Sony's lineup.

Was all over this until one of the early commenters reminded me it will be £70.

Played GR:W entirely in single player mode and had a blast. If it's new to you, this version should be great.

Bought it cheap just before the ‘next gen’ patch and played on Series X via a physical disc. It’s utterly brilliant (and with the DLC built-in it’s even better), and I will be tempted to play again with the PS5 Pro version at some point. I just hope I’m still around to play the sequel…

I’m weirdly enjoying being one of a handful of people who genuinely don’t care about GTA VI. And the lack of a physical release has reduced my limited interest even further. I’ll probably just watch some reviews and a highlights reel on YouTube.

More interested in the remake of Black Flag to be honest. Bounced off GTA games multiple times, so not at all bothered by this at launch. Maybe down the line when it's dirt cheap.

I've enjoyed many fantastic Ubisoft games over the decades, so I have no axe to grind. I wish the company well and hope it survives to make more games for me to enjoy. Fingers crossed for all those losing their jobs.

Yep. I concur with the bulk of this review. 8 feels harsh, but the game still has enough jank and strange design decisions to warrant it. I’d be happy with a 9 currently because they’ve patched so much goodness in, but so much of the game I’ve had to Google - from quest solutions to obscure puzzles to basic mechanics. It’s far from a 10, that’s for sure.

It’s bloody brilliant. The latest patches have totally sorted it, and you should dive in now. Yes there’s more to add, apparently, but newer features will be less and less necessary. I’m having a blast right now, and have had very few bugs or other issues… practically none in fact. It’s one hell of a game.

I adored Skyrim. I would love a modern, polished hi-res remake. So I could not have been more excited for Starfield, but despite a few highlights and many hours invested, my memory of it now is basically repetitive and grindy.

Had it given to me as a gift, played many hours, but left it to play other stuff and haven't gone back. Probably just me, but I certainly didn't love it as others have. Crimson Desert on the other hand...

I own a Pro, and adored Black Flag. Kind of a perfect storm… let’s see how much it costs.

If OwlCat is genuinely looking for feedback, don’t just hope they read your preview - send them the text, or outline your issues in detail. Wouldn’t take much to revoice the characters, and it’d be better than losing a point or two at review time.

The game has been perfectly playable since day one. The patches are tweaking what is a massive game filled with different systems and mechanics, while also improving QOL stuff and implementing a raft of new features. I have no complaints.

Played for many, many hours on Series X, but never finished. Just could not be bothered.

Finished main game and DLC on Series X... but this is so tempting. Maybe a cheap pick-up after Crimson Desert. Assuming I live that long,

Started playing this morning and just begun Chapter III. Apart from some clunky control choices, I’ve loved every minute so far. I’m sure three (four?) major patches have helped, as does playing on Pro. But thumbs up here!

I have copy on its way via eBay, and I just know I've made an error of judgement; it's just the kind of game that will frustrate the crap out of me. Hoping for more QOL patches, and soon!

So the ‘uncomfortable’ control is still uncomfortable, but snappier? I’ll pick this up when the controls are properly sorted (it’s bizarre they chose the system they have).

Would shelling out for Sony’s customisable Edge controller alleviate some of the hassle?

I think the mismatch in scores is precisely because CD is trying to do a bit of everything, pleasing many people in the process while frustrating others. I'll come back in six months, see how it's shaping up.

It sounds like the ideal game to buy in six months, cheap and properly patched after thousands of bits of feedback!

Would love to play this, but having read the first review leaks, I can't help thinking I'll be really bad at the combat part. Some of those bosses look like my idea of gaming hell. Guess I'll know when the real reviews drop.

A Blu-ray costs between $2 and $4 to manufacture and package. It’s a bit cheap to not include the whole game, but maybe they will release a complete special edition down the line…

I do hope this shuts up those snarky PS5 owners who have berated the Pro since launch. It's by far and away the best console experience for potentially the biggest game of the year.

P.S. If it runs even on an Xbox Series S, it should be fine on PS5. They'll just turn off some of the bells and whistles.

Never completed it first time round because of a corrupt save. Sorely tempted to go back, but £10 feels a little steep. That £3.74, much more reasonable.

What’s the point of a full 2.0 patch if it doesn’t ‘fundamentally change’ what is a fairly lacklustre title? There are plenty of things Bethesda could have ironed out, like its terrible inventory system or the grind of obtaining materials for base building or some of the more boring fetch quests. Dunno, maybe it’s improved since my underwhelming Xbox playthrough.

Have owned both versions, and was still underwhelmed by the 2nd attempt. Same old issues of discomfort and a small sweet spot. It works okay, but not for long enough without endless adjustments to the headset I’m done with VR, probably forever at my age.

Bought the digital early bird version for £100 and could not have been more disappointed. Yeah, it has a few high points – mainly a handful of intense shooting sections – but it's a real slog and actually pretty tedious for a lot of the time. It would need to be one hell of an update/patch to get me to buy it again.

Had this bought for me as a present and played it for a couple of days. Since then it’s been off while catching up on some Switch 2-updated games (Kirby and the Forgotten Land is joyous!), and I don’t have an overwhelming desire to go back to it, but I will persevere at some point and hope it clicks with me.

Been playing video games for four decades and Cyberpunk is right up there among my most beloved games. As a massive Bladerunner fan, this was the game that transported me into a high-tech dystopian future better than anything else. I would often just run everywhere to experience the city. I cannot wait for the sequel. Just hope they don’t take too long now I’m getting old!

@Junghova I’ve been gaming since the days of Pong and TV light gun games. I have a few more consoles left in me yet - but I’m single player all the way (except stuff like Mario Party). I worry the games market will outgrow me, not the other way around.
