People will buy anything. Eventually COD is gonna become a subscription service where they wont make a new game every year. You'll just pay 20 $ a month to access the game(s).

@PandaBaird12 there will be no switching disc if xcom 2 on ps4 is anything to go by. After the install of the first disc you will use the 2nd disc to actually play. The first one wont be needed again unless you delete.

@AFCC might wanna check your area I know in my area local stores are releasing at 9pm on pre release day. Ofcourse that's physical copy tho.

Great news, not taking the cheap way out and passing the extra cost to consumers! This functions just like any other ps4 game after install. Just insert play disc. You only insert install disc one time. I had my first 2 disc game in xcom 2.... easy process and much appreciated

@Giygas_95 I read somewhere and don't quote me on this that next year's will have a campaign. I for one played each and every installments campaign twice.(I enjoyed them). I rented this one spent about 20 plus hrs got my fix and I'm done. I would've purchased this had it had a campaign, the multiplayer gets semi boring to me about the 20 hr mark which is when people learn the maps start camping, no scope shooting, etc....

Excellent review! Had fun my first few days with a rental. But still a no buy.....

Considering its an online only title, why is this a surprise?

I've never bought a digital game in my life that was over 20$ indie. (hollow knight, the messenger, etc) is getting the digital version cheaper on AAA Game? No printed disc , no art work, no retailer cut, etc. If not who do they pass the savings on to?..... hmmm.

@Red-Ranger report them, or leave report with ubisoft. They literally don't play any games with R6 anymore.

Broke down and rented it for 3 days. Played about 4 hrs or so tried all modes. Spent the most time with vs multiplayer never been a big fan of zombies and that didn't change here. Blackout was ok played a few matches in quads (teams of 4) not so fun playing with randoms. All in all I think I would have had my fill by day 3. If you are a fan of pub G there may be alot to like with blackout. But with no single player campaign, stuff locked behind a paywall hard to recommend this in the long run.

@suikoden seems like alot of outlets are doing that as a way to inform the public your "missing out" so to speak. Idc if it scored a perfect 10 out of 10. No single player, forced online no buy. I feel like it was a personal slap in the face to the consumers(myself included) whos been with COD since the beginning circa 2003 on ps2. I rather enjoyed the single player campaigns. Well COD just isn't for me anymore. Time to move on.

@Jaz007 I preordered it mainly cause I'm a statue guy. Plus me skipping out on COD this yr. I'd like to support a single player experience which I value over a multiplayer one.

That's funny.... well I know for a fact COD will sell 2 less copies this year. It will be the first i miss since 2005 .My brother and my self included will be skipping entirely. (Too much BR, not enough campaign)

Have no interest in the multiplayer portion of this game.

A lack of a single player campaign kept me from buying it. A mandatory day 1 50gb patch kept me from renting it.

Streaming will never be the only option for gaming lol. With the amount of collector's editions they sell etc etc. Streaming will be an alternative at best for the foreseeable future. They are NOT piss off retailers at this point who carries their hardware and games. People will believe anything.... sheep. (Baaaaa) 🐑

This is sad... they are gonna push gamers as far as we allow them too. I have no problem downloading 50gb of data, but I know there are alot if people that do. It should be a limit this is unacceptable by any measure! And NO campaign smh.

@get2sammyb probably because some people don't wanna buy half a game on disc and have forced downloads of 50+ gb. Some people may not be as lucky as others also have data caps as well which will probably take a long time to download as opposed to install.

I thought knack was before I played this game. This game is mario 64 like in VR! Great great game. Fun too

I usually get some early if I'm interested enough. Shadow of the tomb raider, and forza horizon 4, and assassins creed odyssey to name a few. I like the steel books on the first two, and I preordered the pantheon addition of creed actually forgot it was shipping early. Not something I do all the time, just a preference for "some" games.

@FullbringIchigo No need to explain yourself I know exactly what you mean! Some personnel just don't get it or wont get it. Some folks rather just buy a remaster or download a digital copy. What you have on YOUR shelf is your business for legacy purposes or viewing purposes. Do you 👍

Smh so tired of these publishers selling incomplete physical copies that rely on the internet for single player..... They should of just made it pure digital and called it a day.

That lil extra time and money sony spent getting this off the ground is gonna cost the gamers.. mark my words ps plus will go up in price along side xblive, and switch online. These brands are not our friends or out to do what the gamer wants its a money thing. I see nothing good about this but I also don't play fortnite.

I bet the xbox exclusive "multiplayer" games make it over too now that cross play a thing. Any chance the last of us 2, God of war, etc appears on xbox?

@get2sammyb thanks Sammy cause I was trying to figure out the "format" of this game. I enjoyed until dawn alot. So this will be a standard 60$ title just with different stories (chapters) so to speak.

Episodic games are a cancer. (I don't want a sitcom format.) Also the fact that they released 1 episode on a retail disc, and had to download the rest. I feel bad for the folks that are out of work but, good riddance. Hopefully the other companies with that episodic stuff for games take notice.

This game is a blast, I've completed the other two as well. Less combat more puzzles and exploring. I'd give it an 8.5.

Only need 1 multiplayer only game and I'm covered by rainbow six seige.

No single player campaign no buy. I'm sure this fan base will eat up next yrs then this one will be left to rot.
