@Throb Its not that the game has a patch its that the game doesnt even "work" without the patch. Everygame has patches but this game is internet reliant. What happens in a few years when you cant download that patch? I sometimes like to play my older games yrs down the line. Its just a rental imo.
I just redboxed the game. The campaign is nothing special albeit more grounded. Zombies is pretty interesting and the pvp is well as you'd expect. 10gb patch just to even play the game is absurd like the reviewer mentioned above. For that reason alone this is the first COD ill skip on buying since 2005. I was a big fan of the series and thats just a deal breaker for me.
@themcnoisy wow....... thats terrible. I feel bad for the kids growing up today that remain gamers into their adulthood. They wont have retro with all this online only stuff. Oh maybe they will in some form of a remaster or whatever they do these days to sell more copies. Growin up in the 80's makes this a tough pill to swallow, thank god i have my older consoles still.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi yep i NEVER saw that or came across any article stating the game would need a connection to function. Smh seeing as i order my games from amazon or bestbuy i rarely see the game cases before launch. Its terrible the games where stolen and sold early, but those guys just saved me 60$.
Well preorder canceled for me. Everyone else knock yourself out. I consider myself a collecter and i hold onto games for the nostalgia factor. So in 8 to 10 yrs assuming when that server is shut down i wont even be able to fire the single player up for a go? Lol no thanks....
Loved this game. Actually im responsible for 2 out of that 4 million target. I love the old characters jill being my favorite but id rather they take the silent hill approach from now on. Different characters with every installment. Hows a battle tested Leon or chris supposed to be scared of a shambling zombie in 2017? I think capcom nailed it. Favorite of the series behind part 2....
Like a poster mentioned above not every game can be a destiny. Idk know about anyone else but single player is where my bread is buttered. I only play like 2 maybe 3 multiplayer games a year. They are Battlefield 1, gears 4, and injustice 2. They ALL have a strong single player component which is what ushered me in the first place. These games came out last yr? Yea i skipped the division, for honor, overwatch etc. Not my thing. Online only sucks for gamers in the long run.... #jm2c
Simple solution. You dont like dont buy. I bought SOW and havent purchased a single loot box. But i also dont buy online only games neither both are a gamble imo.
Idk why people give this game a hard time im about 6 hrs in on the 3rd chapter. (I play without guides). It builds on the original which i enjoyed. It is and can be tense the first time one jumps from somewhere to scare you is a thrill. Id say an easy 8/10. My advice play in the dark with headphones!
THIS.... this is what will increase sales! I went into a bestbuy last october and they had a demo unit. After about 5 mins with it i walked out the store with my own.
@FullbringIchigo i agree. These online only games are gonna saturate the market in the coming years if not sooner when people only prob buy maybe 2 to 3 of these games a year. These games will fail just the same cause i think they have to strive for greatness more so than a single player game. It takes atleast multiple people for the game to even "run". Ill stick to my BF or maybe a lil GOW for my online fix. Single player wont die anytime soon
I purchased this game while the gameplay was good as the graphics, i had a hard time getting into it if it makes sense. Be warned its not easy at all to newbies which is what i was. Imo
I just picked this up. Its graphically impresive. I never played the first, but this game is difficult be warned lol, In a good way though. I mostly played forza before and wanted something different. I found it!
Trying to finish knack 2 seems alot longer than folks let on. Completed a mission or two in dishonored death of the outsider. Also playing some nba live 18 and metroid samus returns
Played the beta liked the gunplay. The story what little at the time seemed interesting. Couldnt get into the fact that it was online only. I KNEW that it wouldnt last long for me cause i move from game to game so i dont have the time to devote to one game lile that. Cheers
Having just finished lost legacy on friday. Ive been playing some of the WWII beta enjoying that. Kinda dont know what to concure next? Maybe pick back up alien isolation. (THE GAME IS LONG)
I actually still own and finished all uncharted games.( sans golden abyss). Im on ch 7 on lost legacy i havent enjoyed an uncharted this much since part 2. I really have no answer besides maybe i like the characters a bit more. Im not sure. But i would put this easily in top 3 behind part 2 only. But a tad over 4 imo.
I agree with the review its a solid 8 nothing below that. Its fun for what it is im about 25% into the campaign having unlocked about half the agents. Great game for the summer imo. Just keep expectations in check. For me it was better than SR4. Good review
The game is pretty good been spending most of the day with it. There is plenty to do as with side missions and such. Each agent out of the 12 have there own side missions along with the main story. There are races, challenges, and even a danger room type mode for those xmen fans. Along with xmen and other marvel costumes for agents. Game started of kinda like every other open world then it gets better much better. It is a fun game if nothing else. Just dont expect ground breaking. Each agent has a ton of abilities and gadgets. Sorry bout the mini review
Online only doesnt work for every type of genre imho for games like this. Well good luck getting a strong community back with destiny 2 coming out shortly along with star wars and COD.
I actually wish they would implement the same system for ps4 along with xbox 1 that was used on x360. (Didnt have to be online to recieve notification that it unlocked, etc.)

What a terrible idea. MS is done. Whos next to step up to the plate? Google? Amazon? Someone else? We need competition.
