I was reading somewhere that there is a rumor that the developers lost the source code. I really hope that's not true. I don't see how it stops them from developing a new game from scratch, but it may explain why we haven't seen a PC port or remaster.

Okay, I've since played Lords of the Fallen the 2.0 update. Way way way better, night and day. I'm enjoying my playthrough, long after I abandoned it when it first released.

I feel bad to have been harsh to some commenters here. I'm sorry! LotF2 looks promising and after all the hard work the devs put in to make the first one so much better, they absolutely deserve the success they earned.

Concord-level expectations.

@KundaliniRising333 Good Lord man, yes, I played it the first week and it was a mess. Why are you so angry? Were you on the development team?

@Coffeeglitch Same, I felt it would rival and exceed Dark Souls, but after playing for a few hours, I was so turned off by it. Just a lackluster game, boring, and repetitive; a glitch machine. The lamp mechanic is neat, but the character models and AI just suck. It's not fun to play it and will not return to it.

@Oram77 I hate to say this, but Japan is expecting a massive earthquake. I was in Osaka last year, and you got a feeling talking to people that they are expecting the worst.

Let's be honest. It was a beautiful looking game that ended in 3-hours. I mean, come on.

@somnambulance wrong, I would hate it even more. This is not a game Souls players want or play. It's not a hate-on for Switch.

It's a PVPE game. It won't do well overall. Soulsborne players like single-player experiences, not multiplayer only.

I don't see many playing this. I think this is purely a cash grab. And many gamers view it that way.

I really hope they can get to work on a Days Gone sequel. It was the best zombie game I've ever played.

She's a wonderful actress, but this game is largely, pardon the pun, unknown. It won't do well.

@GigaGaia You really think so? The opening area is cool (Defiled sepulcher), but it just goes down from there. They reused too many assets and I found myself almost giving up after the swamp area. I did finish it, but no interest at all to revisit it. Lies of P is probably the best Souls-like I've played.

I played it through once, no interest to return to it. There are some neat areas, but ultimately it's a boring slog.
