@Gloamin so funny enough I never played the first 2 but I played the third one years ago on pc and also loved that. I'm looking forward to the remakes of the original games though. If I'm not mistaken even these games are vaguely tied to this world.

I have to say after playing Control i jumped at the chance to play the Alan Wake remaster which also turned out to be pretty great, which then led me to play Quantum break which i felt was a super underrated game. The shared world these guys have created have made these games some of all time favorites, and can not wait to see what else they come up with.

So I have a question now that I've spent some time with this game but do the buttons combos not feel responsive enough? There are to sections in the game so far that seem way more challenging then they need to be but it's not that the enemies are any more challenging but the controls don't seem to respond well .

I just preordered last night im actually really glad it's shorter the last couple of games have all been 80plus hours it'll be nice to have something to bang out in between bigger titles . Nice review thank you.

Wild lands was fun and I did enjoy it but what I feel they should do is go back to the style of GRAW that is when the franchise was its best. Instead of giant open outdoor worlds go back to a more urban environment . Have a story line not unlike the movie sicario. I don't know that'd what I'd want , that and go back to the old cover system .

I'll say this for the people stuck on the second boss . Unlock the ability to defend your self wile your on the ground . You will find the boss fight almost comically easy once he can't one shot you with his sweep and smash move

I do hope they make an other mainline game . I really did enjoy the first 2 I bought legion but never played it ,I didn't like the idea that it wasn't a direct sequel.

I hate that this seems like what the future of gaming is going to be . I can not stress this enough Game pass is going to kill the industry period . The early days right now are going to seem amazing sure wicked I get all these games for next to nothing cool. It's the long term we should be worried about . What happens when the dust settles and every thing has been bought up , there's no more competition everything is under one umbrella. That's when you start seeing the weaker games start coming out cause to keep the service worth wile there has to be a steady flow of meaningful games . Then comes the price hikes . And at that point we'll have no choice to pay the subscription becuse it would have forced physical games to be so much more expensive becuse fewer people are buying it ,that's also assuming any one is even printing disks anymore.

I get ***** expensive and not every one can afford to buy every game that comes out but if this is the ulternative I rather miss out on a few games here and there then have the entire market be an other streaming service .

I agree sony should try to roll something out that is similar to game pass but if I'm a publisher I wouldn't want to give the platform with the much higher install base my brand new games for free. It make sense to offer there ganes on game pass because most games don't tend to sell as high on Xbox consoles . That is a fanboy statement or a dig at them its just fact. If you want to get your game in as many hands as possible this actually makes the most sense . It just looks bad for sony but I bet you If sony had a similar offering there is no way you'd see the same day and date stuff from third party's in the way you do on Xbox

The first one was my favorite game of theps4 generation. I feel the second may very well be that for the this one

How out of the question is any last of us multiplayer news ? I am so bummed this year every online shooter has sucked I need something to look forward to in the multiplayer space.

Do the ports of these games have trophy support buy any chance? Like does horizon zero dawn or days gone have trophys on pc ?

I wonder if this is a response to them (ubisoft) getting dunked on over almost of there recent anoucments the division heart land X defiant or what ever its called and then the ghost recon front line . They need some good will because it won't matter if every one of your franchises are free to play money makers if no one wants to play your ***** your dead in the water.

I'll say this about a BR fishing game . If they set it up like a fishing derby it would actually make sense . Like instead of a circle that ticks down there is a set time limit and who ever catches the biggest fish at the end of the time limit wins . It's actually not the worst . I'd never play it but I'm sure there could be an audience for it lol.

@TheMysticOne oh nice. See thats interesting to me. Hoestly if you are a plus subscriber your getting more in doller value a year then what most people spend a year on games .

This isn't a troll or anything but I am genuinely curious, how many people actually spend a alot of time with the plus games ? I only ask because I can only think of maybe 3 games that I received from plus that I actually played from start to finish,and that was because I was actually intending to buy them retail. The last one being controll for the ps5.
For me the get excited for the plus games but once I get them i just kind of forget about them because I don't feel I own them in the same way I own the games I buy my self , so that ends up creating a werid disconnect from those games. It's a werid ownership thing I guess I also hate borrowing things I never do it for the same reasons. Any one else like that ?

Has the Tokyo game show already happend ? I wonder if not they could have some anoucments there. Konami is doing something if I'm not mistaken maybe there was some kind of deal where Konami is going to introduce some form of partnership. That gives them a bit of good will as well as pleases stockholdes .

Ok here is my idea that no one asked for lol what if factions was set up like this. You pick which group you want to play as fireflys ,the cult,Joel and Ellies group the biker group.and the millita
The map is huge think almost all of the city of Seattle before you go to the island. Each group has 10 players per team each group has there own specific weapons typs and different classes with in each faction so it's 10v10v10v10v10

The idea is to take over the whole map. So you want to take over the other factions base . Doing so rewards your faction with more supplies and what not . Now instead of just killing dieing and respwaning if you get downed you can be taken captive and rescued buy other members of your faction. Or you can choose to join your captives faction at reduced helth weapons and supplies until you get a capture your self .

Now if your captured you don't just have to sit around waiting to be rescued you can try to escape and try to sabatoge the enemy base but again at reduced helth and no weapon until you find one .

The games can run long but the idea is your basicaly acting out how the people in that game world would be . I don't know I think it could be cool

The trophy list appearing vertical is nice .the other nice change is how they have now labeled the games from ps4 version of the game to ps5 and make it easier to choose which version to download. Not sure if I like the 3d audio out of the TV. It sounds kind of muddy but that could also be because tv speakers aren't generally very good to start with . Over all I'd say this is a pretty good update

I still feel this is some kind of Kojima game . There is far to many things that line up with his involvement to ignore.

Twisted metal they need to change the game to twisted metal lol . I actually have no idea what this game is like but would love a twisted metal game that played like twisted metal 2

Remember when ubisoft actually made games that were quality. Don't get me wrong I love the division and to a lesser extent rainbow six seige and parts of the newer ghost recon games but I'd Trade all the tea in China for a ubisoft game that played as well as GRAW and rainbow six Vegas did . The cover system alone in Vegas was better then any third person shooter cover system. Also the way you could customize your armor and it actually had an affect . All that and not only where you getting a wicked campaign you could play cooperatively but there was some really good multiplayer game modes. God damn i get worked up just thinking about what they've squandered lol

What if it's the info structure that sony is after ? They nake a few deals with Netflix on the gaming side of things to get a peek at the back end they make a few tweaks here and there and who know maybe all of a sudden streaming ps3 games works as seemless as running it on a the machine. Who knows interesting stuff none the less

There hasn't been a better wrestling game made since no mercy on the N64 . Graphical sure but what that game offered , man you can't beat it . They need to make a game that plays like that again.

I wonder if they weren't ready to share the space with an other pve coop game like back 4 blood . I have been waiting for this game for a bit now but honestly I'd almost want them to scrap the space sifi stuff and actually make something more grounded

@MakersMark thanks man I'll check the out. But your right there is really no way to properly punish people for cheating . Personally I just always assume evey game i play online is going to have a small percentage of cheats going on . I grew up playing games like CS and I've just gotten use to it lol

@blackndark oh your probaly right ,that being said I feel it's stuff like that already starting to tare down those walls . How soon is it that they can start circumventing the need for an Elghto with a smart phone ? Nothing that going to happen over night mind you but still infeel this is a bigger issue for consoles then people are thinking if for no other reason then this now eliminates the need to come up with any kind of software to run on the consoles them self. But like you said as of right now their still relatively safe . Bottom line though unfortantally is if people want to cheat there going to find a way regardless.

@blackndark I agree with you but did you happen to see that video that was making the rounds last week that seems to make it super easy now to cheat on consoles and its very hard to spot making it even harder to punish the perp so to speak.

I see where the concern comes from against pc players but let's be honest it's becoming easier and easier for console players to cheat as well. I feel there needs to be a bigger conversation had about cheat prevention across the board if alot of these games are looking at a multiplayer only focus

Do we know if this game will support mouse and keyboard on the consoles the same way cod seems to ?

I cant wait for more of this game. Not sure how I feel about a multiplayer component. That being said it could work out it was basicaly Ghostbusters lol of you went around having to find the werid possessed items but made the boss fights more challenging it could be a cool add on .

What would happen if sony went the other way ,and told publishers you know what you want on our platform you can't go on game pass for the first 6 months . Fanyboyism aside the lead sony has and maintained in terms of units out in the wild ps4 and now ps5 , there is no second or third party company that's going to turn down that install base .

Sure this looks great on paper for Microsoft but be careful not to poke the bear as they say .

@Alpha_Pulse I one hundred percent agree with you man . It also doesn't help that almost every outlet is writing a story about the price of games on a weekly basis.

Now i get the cost of games have gotten pricy and I also understand that not evey one may be in a situation to comfertable afford games. So I definitely get how game pass at face value is super inviting what it offers is pretty impressive .

But like I said I feel over time if this type of business model ends up being the norm it will end up turning the Industry into a big race to the bottom. There will be a down side to it and it'll be gradual but it'll happen. Or I should say it could if sony trys to do the same thing .

I dont think Microsoft has enough of the market share to swing things in that direction them selfs. We need to understand that for as many of these game sites that are full of enthusiasts like us there are way more casual consumer's who don't have a clue about any if this. They are aware of what's popular and what's in the mainstream . And what's the mainstream sony and the ps5 .
Its not fanyboyism it's just the truth . So as long as they are in the position they are in I can't see sony doing a game pass equivalent.

Maybe it was because I was watching this on my phone but this game looks like it needs to be delayed. The game play looked rough for something coming out in October.

I stand by the statement that game pass has the potential to actually hurt the gaming industry.

If developers know there games are ultimately just going to be offered for free,as time goes on the incentive to make things that are going to wow there audience is going to just disappear. They are going to make there money and go on to the next project. Innovation will be secondary , we will probaly start to see a quantity over quality with a lot of companies.

Not that this will happen over night or anything but if this becomes lucrative for publishers which I'm sure it would be .no need to advertise or market any more then this could happen sooner then we think.

@blackndark one hundred percent man. People should look at this as a game that could potentially be as good a multiplayer only game as say Ghost of tsushima was a single player game. There are tones of people that only like single player games and that's cool juat like there are people who only like multiplayer games. Not every game is going to be for every one.

@blackndark I'm.with you man I lived the bad company campaigns but the core franchise on pc never had one,and honestly these games where always at there best when that was the focus.

I'm pretty excited about this game that being said it now is going to release with actuall competition is the form of back 4 blood . A game coming from a studio known for coop shooters . On top of that the rainbow 6 name could actually work against them buy scaring off some of the more casual audience who think the franchis is for the hard-core. I do hope the game is good mainly becuase I want something in the rainbow 6 universe that's more inline with Vegas so if this goes well they might actually start looking at that as a potential avenue.

@Olmaz man thats so werid. I remember the first time I had that feeling your describing. It was the reboot of tomb raider I played on the pc it was super jarring it was the first time I had a 3rd person game play at 60 frames . I thought there was something wrong with my video card. Mind you at the time I wasn't aware of how frame rate could affect how games looked and played .

@Olmaz that soap opera effect your speaking about could actually be a setting on your TV. I know what your talking about and I can't stand that . I don't mind the the drop in resolution so much I ended up playing the game with the 60 frames and raytracing and my lord was it pretty . That being said if your use to the 30 no reason to switch it . But honestly check your TV every TV calles it something different but it's usely called realism mode or some kind of motion mode. It's the first thing I turn off when ever i get a new TV. I honestly have no idea why stors always display ***** with that setting its just looks so unnatural
