The Pittsburgh Steelers’ superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown will be the face of Madden NFL 19, on the back of a season where he registered over 100 receptions for around 1,600 yards. The six-time Pro Bowler is one of seven players with a 99 rating in the game, and is the first star to be featured without his helmet on.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Brown said that he was not concerned about the Madden curse: “You gotta stay focused,” he admitted. “Obviously this is a tremendous honour, you can't get caught up in worrying about what others believe. I'm extremely focused and excited to be in everyone's household, to let them see me in my Steelers uniform representing my club.”
Brown will be on the cover of the standard version of Madden NFL 19, while Terrell Owens will head up the Hall of Fame Edition. The game’s officially due out on 10th August, but you will be able to get it a few days earlier if you pay a little extra.

Actually Sammy, I think I remember Adrian Peterson being a cover athlete that didn't sport his helmet for Madden 25.

@get2sammyb i don't like the way player stand and showing off his face instead doing pose with football like Madden 17 is Rob Gronsw spike the football.. By the way, i love beta in Madden 19 when i played beta.. gameplay is fluid, smooth and running animations is so fluid and great
@PS4fan I heard they were really improving like the running back control and stuff. Interested to play it.
AB is my most productive player in my keeper league. Needless to say, I'm not too enthusiastic about him gracing the Madden cover. The curse is real.
@get2sammyb yes it feel so smooth and fluid when i played beta on that game. it need some tweaks on ai cpu team running game. that's it.. Franchise Mode improve so better too.. All-New Player Archetypes alway affect field performance and has skill upgrade to improve player ratings depend on what you choose : any archetypes
@Jimmy_G_Buckets the curse is happening if AB get serious injury like out for season or struggling to play great after last year he played so incredible
Curse or no, I'm guessing "insurance policy" by the Steelers and the price going up from the insurance company.

That sucks. It was a really nice addition to Madden 18. Not a lot of replay value but fun none the less.
Are you excited for the start of NFL season? I recall you being a Giants fan? I'm interested in seeing how well they utilize saquon barkley. Great acquisition IMO. He seems like a 3 down back and top it off with a healthy Odell, Eli will have plenty of weapons on offense. Gonna be needed in a tough NFC east division
@NYJetsfan123 I am excited, yeah. It's a bit rubbish at the moment with the World Cup being over, so I'm looking forward to NFL and Premier League getting underway.

This will be one I pick up. Skipped last year. Not only cause Bratty was on the cover but just because I usually skip a year, since the changes are minimal.
