Re: Bethesda to Put Oblivion Remastered on a PS5 Disc in New Physical Edition

MysticFartRipper

@RZ-Atom It's called putting the game on 2 discs, which costs very little.

You can call people whiners (or whinners as you said), but if they won't give you the full game, why make a physical copy at all? I'm sorry if people wanting to actually own what they purchase and not wanting to let corporations bend them over hurts your feelings, but physical buyers and collectors don't want an empty piece of plastic with nothing on it. Crazy, I know.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Baldur's Gate 3?

MysticFartRipper

Game is more expensive for some reason (93 +tax canadian for standard version) and there is no physical copy of the game. I just don't like spending that kind of money on digital games, so I decided to pass on it and wait for a sale.

Re: Rumour: Ghost of Tsushima 2 Not at PlayStation Showcase

MysticFartRipper

I don't even really want a Ghost of Tsushima sequel tbh. I love the game but I don't think everything needs a sequel. It would probably just be more of the same anyways. The story ended fine and they don't need to add anything more to it, and with Rise of the Ronin coming out, it just seems unnecessary.

I'm also more picky now when it comes to investing myself in 50 hour open world games. I've already experienced Tsushima, and I can just go back to it if I ever want to play it again.

Re: WWE 2K22 (PS5) - A Return to Form for 2K's Wrestling Franchise

MysticFartRipper

@Mezzer I don't see what's wrong with liking wrestling. I would rather watch it than watch a boring ass game of baseball or soccer. But everyone likes different things, and wrestling is quite popular even now days. I'll never really understand why some people hold such deep hatred for it.

I'm also pretty sure after the whole steroid scandal, it hasn't been a thing in years. A lot of the wrestlers now days are much smaller compared to the 80's & 90s, other than a certain wrestlers like Brock Lesnar.

Re: Skater XL Launch Trailer Can't Stop Taking Shots at EA's Skate

MysticFartRipper

@nessisonett Well, I looked up more info on the game. I don't like the idea of using triggers to turn(or the control scheme in general), I don't like the lack of multiplayer, and a lot of people are saying it feels like a $40 demo.

If real skaters enjoy it that's cool, but it definitely doesn't seem like my cup of tea. Unfortunately I will have to wait for Skate 4 (I'll be waiting a long time probably)

Re: Soapbox: Sony's Next PS5 Showcase Needs to Be a Scorcher

MysticFartRipper

@KratosMD But those games will also be on PC as well, as will Gamepass. If you don't have a good enough PC, that's understandable, and I can see why one would choose the Xbox over PS5.

For me though, I feel a lot of people are only buying a new Xbox because of Gamepass. It almost seems like it's the only real selling point of the console, which again is fine, but isn't for me.

Re: Soapbox: Sony's Next PS5 Showcase Needs to Be a Scorcher

MysticFartRipper

@Tharsman If people want to buy a next gen system to play last gen games, that's their choice, and I have no problem with that. Halo Infinite also looked like an Xbox360 game, but I do know a lot of people love their Halo and will buy the console for those games.

Either way, people can choose whatever they want.

@KratosMD https://wccftech.com/spencer-on-why-there-are-no-xbox-series-x-exclusives-were-putting-the-player-at-the-center/

That's fine though, I'm certainly not trying to bash you for your choice, and understand that times are tough for a lot of people, and may not be able to afford them.

My problem with Gamepass, as well as PSNow, or other similar services, is that they are always removing games randomly without warning(similar to Netflix with movies and TV shows). I'm also not a big fan of those subscription services, and would prefer to own the actual physical copy of my games. It might be an old way of thinking, but I'm not a big digital/stream game kind of guy.

Still though, I'm sure both consoles will be perfectly fine. I usually lean towards games, and I'm not really a Halo or Gears of War fan, so I usually lean towards Playstation.

Re: Soapbox: Sony's Next PS5 Showcase Needs to Be a Scorcher

MysticFartRipper

@KratosMD Fair enough. Hopefully you are aware that Xbox won't have any Exclusives/new experiences for the first couple years.

If so, more power to you, and I hope you enjoy Gamepass. Personally though, I don't want to miss out on any of the PS5 exclusives. Gamepass does look like it could be decent value, but that's not enough for me to choose one console over the other.

Re: Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster May Not Be at EA Play Tonight, But It Is 'Coming This Year'

MysticFartRipper

EA tends to not give a damn what anyone wants. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see anything on the ME trilogy, or Skate 4, or Dead Space, or SSX, or Road Rash, or Fight Night.

I fully expect to see FIFA garbage, random Star Wars game, Need for Speed 30, and some boring APEX crap, with a hint of Anthem thrown in.

At the very most, we will get a remaster of a game nobody asked for.

Re: Random: Skate 4 Trends on Twitter After Tony Hawk Remake Reveal

MysticFartRipper

@tomassi Age has nothing to do with it. I've played every Tony Hawk game since release (except Ride), and while back then it was a fun, over the top arcade style game where you pull off 10 billion point never ending combos, to me it just doesn't compare to the fun of using the skill stick, and the more realistic style. Skate was also one of the most hilarious series with the crazy physics and glitches.

The fact that Skate was the one trending on twitter right after the announcement of THPS1+2 remaster speaks volumes. Hell, I would even say back in the day, while I did enjoy THPS, I enjoyed Thrasher Skate & Destroy much more.

The Skate series has basically ruined the Tony Hawk games for me though. I could maybe see myself playing a bit of Underground here and there (you can at least get off your board in it), but in the end I would be wishing I was playing a Skate game.

So while the Skate series may not be as memorable for you, it's pretty damn memorable to a lot of other people that played them. Was THPS more iconic? Maybe, but it's not Skates fault that THPS came out first.

Re: PS5's Backwards Compatibility with PS4 Still Has Fans Flabbergasted

MysticFartRipper

@KleebanKliban You see, the problem with PSNow, just like with Netflix, is that they are removing games all the time. A lot of games on there are only temporary, and a lot of the games I want to play aren't even on there to begin with.

On top of that, half of the games on there are awful and not even worth playing, with around 90% being PS3 games I could buy for a couple bucks at a pawn shop or market. You also need a very steady internet to be able to play the games you DO want without any hiccups or choppiness.

Honestly though, I'm not a big fan of game subscription services, and I will always choose physical disc/cartridge over it. Sure, we won't live forever, but while I am alive I would like to actually own what I purchase and have the ability to trade or sell them. Maybe when I do die I can pass down my beautiful collection to my kid, which by then, maybe some of the games I do have will have gone up in price over the years. Or they can just enjoy a lot of the great classics I grew up with that will probably never be seen on services like PSNow.

If other people like the service that's fine, but for me personally, I feel like it's just as good as throwing money down the toilet, especially at 12.99 a month.

Re: PS5's Backwards Compatibility with PS4 Has Fans Baffled

MysticFartRipper

@LaJettatura Not ever. PSNow is a gigantic waste of money. I think most people would rather play their old games in disc form than subscribe to a bad, expensive service.

On top of that, while PSNow releases games every month, they have also removed a lot of games too.

Sony is perfectly fine with doing remasters and remakes and making you buy the games again.
