"That's You" with 4, 5 or 6 friends is a blast. Non stop laughs from taking your player profile selfies alone, and then the game just keeps the laughs rolling. These are the type of games I bring out at parties or just a family get together. I hope they keep them coming, but also hope they don't saturate the market with them.
@Bobobiwan I have Eve Valkyrie and I quite enjoy it. My personal go to for showing off PSVR is RIGS. Still hoping for a Sports Champions and a good golf game in VR.
I love the PSVR, but that said, every game for the PSVR should have a demo. I have purchased many of the games and have been pleasantly surprised time and time again but several titles leave me scratching my head as to how they made it past testing. Most recently Arizona Sunshine. What a disappointment and it was a pricier PSVR game. If there was a demo, I never would have purchased that turd. Maybe it will be good after 52 patches, but right now...no. I don't care to bite the bullet on a $10-15 game and have it not be awesome. But, if you're asking for a close to premium price, a demo should be required for consumer "protection".
Should finish Hellblade and Super Hot. Probably squeeze a raid or 2 in on Destiny and will grind some more in No Man's Sky because it's relaxing. Cheers to all!
I pre-ordered the Limited, but I am still hoping some more Collectors Editions will be made available. The CE went live when I was at work so I didn't stand a chance of getting one. As a Letter Carrier for the USPS, I can totally appreciate the handiness of a satchel. Plus it's a universal tough guy symbol....Jack Bauer, Jason Bourne, and Macguyver all used one lol
the games coming out for VR lately have been awesome. Cannot wait for this one as well. Farpoint, Super Hot, Infinite Mini-golf and now Sparq...VR is doing great!
Awesome! Literally just received my email from Sony that included my digital gift basket from going to the E3 Experience, which has $15 to spend in the PS Store.
Their pre-show had several reveals, so they are essentially running a 2 hour show at this point anyway. I also realize that E3 isn't the only show that happens, so holding back some announcements for Gamescom, TGS, PSX is fine with me.
If MS had announced a price of $399 for the X1X, then I think we would have seen more from Sony. As it is, I'm sure Sony didn't feel "threatened" by anything MS showed. Tokyo Game Show and PSX should have some surprises.
I like the Pro plus it makes a great improvement in the PSVR visuals. Presently have 2 Pro's hesitant to get a third since that would me trading my blue Uncharted PS4. All that aside, I do have the same problem with the Pro that I had with the stock PS4, which is, the system UI slows down so much after the first couple of months of ownership.
I still think that using different event services based on time zones would work better. Have PT use the gofobo, have EST use eventgrid, have CT use eventbrite. That way everyone isn't bottlenecking one website.
@BAMozzy you keep saying they need to "budget" price the game, and they have. The stand alone game is $49 compared to the usual $59. If you add in something like Amazon Prime, your cost would be $39. My preorder of the Farpoint bundle from Amazon was $62 USD
@shafedog247 I forgot to mention that peering down the sights using the AIM controller in game is pretty slick. That's one part of the game that is well done.
@Kidfried @get2sammyb @BAMozzy my opinion Sammy is right here. VR is a new medium and you can't separate this game from the VR because it was designed for VR. It's not like COD with VR tacked on for a mission or two. Would Farpoint stand in its own without the VR is an impossible question to answer because we don't know where Farpoint could have gone as a game graphic wise, story wise, length wise because it's tether(limited) to the VR medium, which holds the game to a stricter set of parameters. If you're going to compare it to another medium, using the Wii is a better option. How would Wii sports be without the motion control? That's how attached Farpoint is to the VR. All that being said, I haven't finished Farpoint, but while it's a great VR game and VR experience, it's not going to unseat RIGS as my favorite VR game to date.
My Farpoint Review thus far:
Graphics 7/10
Gameplay with the AIM 9/10
Story 7/10
Controls 8/10 lots of options to tailor them to your own preference.
Sound 8/10 the bugs sound like they are coming from multiple directions at once.
Replay value??? Haven't done co-op yet
The cars look great, but will they take and show damage? The tracks looks good, as do the trees, but in typical GT form the people "watching" are flat and lifeless. Only racing series I have ever enjoyed was Burnout.
I haven't finished this game yet, but have thoroughly enjoyed every minute so far. Just hit the level max of 50, but the statistics screen says I have only completed 49% of the game....DAMN!
Mine has been preordered for a while here in the states. Gamestop had a bundle available for $79.99 not sure if a bundle is still available for preorder at this point.
I've had the same issues. The tracking needs work for sure. I was hoping this would be a great title given it's "simplistic" look and concept....guess not. Hope a future patch improves it.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sports Champions and was hoping the series would come back out on VR. The two seem like a natural fit. Fingers crossed this Pong game launches very soon...and reviews decently.
@Neolit yeah that one was pretty good, but personally, RIGS was the reason I purchased the PSVR, and I love it....though my schedule has kept me from the "challenge the developers" sessions they have been running. Guess that will not happen anymore. RIGS is greatly improved with the PS4 Pro, it's so much cleaner. I have most of the VR games out, but always circle back to Batman, Headmaster, and RIGS.
I'm more concerned about how this will impact VR. I have invested a decent amount of $$$ into it and now the studio with arguably the best VR game thus far has been shut down....not giving me warm and fuzzy feelings. Hope everyone affected by the closing all land on their feet.
I must be in the small silent minority's on this game. I really like it, and it's exactly what I was expecting. It the perfect change of pace for me after hours of Destiny, Uncharted, Tomb Raider and my VR. But, I also didn't follow every post and update on the game, so I didn't know what all was promised versus what all was delivered. I hope they add VR support at some point, but until then, I'm happy with whatever updates they put in the game. Cheers to Sean and his staff at Hello Games....I know they worked hard in this and I'm sure they will be fine and come back again with another great game.
I personally ordered a bundle version, but plan to cancel it once I can order the stand alone headset. Just wanted to guarantee receiving a headset one way or another at launch.
I'm personally disappointed in this game. I find the controls to be too clunky, especially when trying to retreat to a better/safer spot. The shotgun enemies can take you out from a ridiculous range and most enemies are over shielded bullet sponges making running some stuff solo nearly impossible. But all that is my opinion. Hopefully a near future patch addresses some of this. If not it will be in the trade bin soon.
@godslayer1975 Your comment makes me think you didn't finish the Taken King story and that you haven't done any of the quests. There is 4 hours of solid game play and about an hour of cutscenes for the story part alone. Factor in quests and it's more like 12 hours of new content. If you do the quests for Petra and Variks you'll get an exotic scout rifle. You just seen too impatient to work for the rewards and too eager to bash the game.
@Ps4all HDD are dropping in price pretty quickly. I just upgraded to a 2tb drive for under $70usd. After deleting and reinstalling a few games due to space issues, it became a no brainer. I now have over 25 games installed and all their updates and still have over 1tb of space left.
If it has a fantastic experience, lots of "wow" moments and has a strong story that keeps my attention, I'll pay full retail. There are too many cookie cutter/rehashed games on all consoles right now, so cost won't deter me from a potentially great game....that said, I hate being duped by a game that ends up being a turd.
If they put out part 1 and 2 on one disc, then I'll for sure grab it. It was a great series from the last generation. Hopefully leads to the final 2 games in the Four Horsemen saga.
@ztpayne7 Believe me, I don't want an increase, but they are toeing a fine line between being gamer friendly and the need to stay profitable....and lately the Sony brand as a whole has not done well. If Sony sees an opportunity to gain revenue and keep the fan base, they will go with revenue.
@ztpayne7 I agree they give you a lot for the price they charge. I fully expect an increase in the cost of the service....sooner than later. I have been a PS+ subscriber since the service launched, so I won't be offended if it does go up. I know I have gotten my $$$ worth and then some.

Didn't Bethesda also announce Fallout 4 VR and Doom VFR? To me, those are pretty big announcements, especially since Doom VvFR is coming to PSVR.
Re: E3 2017: Sony's Listening to Your Requests for PS4 Remakes
Infamous 1 and 2, Resistance series, Tobal 2, Dark Cloud, Timesplitters, Black, Mark of Kri, Onimusha, Manhunt, Dead Space series.

Going to the E3 Experience. Can't wait to be wowed again!
Re: The Persistence Is Dead Space for PlayStation VR
Dead Space is a series that deserves a remastering. Loved the entire series, though 2 stands out among the 3 as the best in my opinion.

@SoulsBourne128 it is a PS+ title this month so it is pretty much F2P
Re: So, You Can Become a Character in Drawn to Death
I just wish it could be more than a 4 player game. 3v3 or 4v4 would be more fun in my opinion. Either way I think it's decent.
