Re: Soapbox: Why I Don't Hate The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Anymore

MinerWilly

My wife started it about a week ago and was swearing more than I've ever seen her but only due to learning the combat but now she's addicted to it and loves it too bits.
It looks beautiful but I'm not going to play it as I've not the time plus I've a cupboard full of sandbox and Bethesda titles which I've never got past 30% completion . Not making same mistake this generation.

@iDangerMouse_ Thanks Danger ,yea I'm going to have to get one. Keep having to delete stuff that I don't want too , last week was Plants v Zombies and Planetside 2 which I've never even played yet but would've one day ! The wife's even said we need one so nothing stopping me now !

Re: Review: Hardware: Rivals (PS4)

MinerWilly

Tried it last night for about an hour before reading any reviews and it just didn't click for me, fair review and score.
When you've only got 500gb HDD you simply can't afford to keep game like this on it. Looking at 2tb's but how long before that's full ?

Going to start Rainbow Six Siege tomorrow when I get back from Ireland, read and heard so many great things so can't wait to get stuck in and probably get killed a lot. The wife started the Witcher and is an hour or so in so there might be a bit of a fight for the controller unfortunately 🙄

Re: Game of the Year: What's Your Favourite PlayStation Game of 2015?

MinerWilly

Star Wars Battlefront for me , had so many great Battlefield type moments in multiplayer and still learning all the maps as my gaming time is limited. Had it since day one and am only lvl 20 so a lot lot more to work towards still. The free Jakku map and new mode where absolutely fantastic and I wasn't expecting to get more than I'd actually originally paid for. Not sure why such a furore over the season pass as if I don't want it I won't buy it .

Battlefront is keeping me occupied there's just so many great moments that the multiplayer throws up , love the way we where given a free map this week and the new mode is fantastic. Picked up all the BF4 map packs last week as they where half price so hope to have time to try them out and perhaps game of throne part 6.

Mainly the quite fantastic Battlefront , but just downloaded and tried the Rainbow beta which despite having virtually no idea what I was supposed to be doing really enjoyed. There was a Frenchman shouting at us down headset who seemed very annoyed with us but was highest ranked ! Got only know what he was saying at us noobs.

Re: Review: Star Wars Battlefront (PS4)

Great review , this game is perfect for me to dip in and out of for half hour blasts as my gaming time is very limited (spend more time reading about it than actually doing it) . Love the huge battles and simple gameplay , was a great decision not to waste time and resources on boring single player campaign and its really paid off. Have got about 4 hours game time on it now in a week so lots more to do and explore with existing levels but I read somewhere we are getting a free map based on Jakku which is really exciting as they don't owe anybody anything and often get called greedy etc .
Nobody forced me to buy the game or said I have to buy a season pass , I knew what I was getting before I purchased the game and in actual fact its exceeded my expectations.

Re: Round Up: Star Wars Battlefront PS4 Reviews Feel the Force

MinerWilly

Can't wait to play this tomorrow , haven't got time for boring games like Fallout ,Skyrim,Bloodborne etc do this quest do that quest build armour , ride a horse ,throw a dwarf ,fall in love with a digitised maiden and argue with others about who's the hottest etc , I want something I can dip in and out of for 30 mins because that's generally what my life allows .The reviewers panned Driveclub also , I loved that game from day one. Each to his own ,each to his own , I'll make my own mind up.

Re: Store Update: 27th October 2015 (Europe)

MinerWilly

I miss the demos , hardly ever get any these days. I might enjoy Marvel puzzle quest but I know nothing about it , won't pay 12 quid on a whim and by the time I've typed this I'll probably have forgotten I even had a flicker of interest for it.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 89

MinerWilly

@Boerewors Pretty much all I'm playing atm too. Still haven't won a single online game yet , only been playing MyClub which is really addictive but think I'm doing something wrong as I've never enough money and still got a crap team! Been away from footy games since Fifa 09 and really enjoying this one.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 88

MinerWilly

PES 16 , really enjoying it . My first football game since Fifa 09 , have got all correct kits and team names etc installed. Really enjoying the MyClub mode , I'm hopeless online and so far have won only one game due to a player quitting when he was winning 3-0 !
Will also be playing the excellent Battlefront beta and the wife is going to be back on Project Cars and Assassins Creed Unity.

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Worried About Star Wars Battlefront on PS4

MinerWilly

I quite enjoyed it , wasn't sure that I would like lack of ADS but it didn't seem to matter. Im a big fan of Battlefield and was born in the 70s so this is right up my street ,gone from a possible to a must buy. Don't buy many games day 1 but this will be one , I'd love the Witcher ,Bloodborne ,Fallout 4 but I'm not touching those type of games this generation. Just haven't the time to invest in them ,I've a cupboard full of sandbox ps3 games hardly touched.

Edit- I think I might slowly be becoming a casual gamer. .....arrrgh
