You’re confusing it with Microsoft which hasn’t shown any gameplay running on their Series X. 🤦‍♂️

When they came out (PS4 & Xbox one) ps4 was both more powerful and cheaper.

The biggest plus for a lot would've always been the games if we’re being honest though.

@bbq_boy I’m sure many people feel the same way. Especially with the way the financial stability is currently. I doubt many people want to add another monthly bill to their debt load.

@Old-Red I don’t think so honestly. People like owning their games, and gamepass is the opposite of that.

Let’s not forget that Sony also has psnow that they could lean into if it does go that way by some chance.

Game pass hasn’t made a difference for Microsoft yet and I doubt it will in the short or long term.

@Old-Red both consoles will allow you to play through your backlog. Only difference is with PS5 you’re getting next gen games that don’t look like late ps3/360 games as well. 😉

Also with your last sentence I feel like ps5 would be the way to go, just saying.

What I don’t understand about Microsoft is why they don’t learn their lesson after a mistake.

After the backlash of their drm fiasco when they announced the Xbox One they decide to go all in on a different yet similar approach with gamepass...

It’s a means to their same ultimate goal of people not owning their games, and I thought people were pretty clear on that in the first time they tried it...

I feel like it’s going to be a blow out of even greater proportions than this gen honestly.

@kohiba99 you shouldn’t be using any post-processing settings on your tv for gaming if you care about latency at all. Most tv’s come with a game setting to give you the best response time possible which turns off all post processing effects as well usually.

I’ve seen TVs have 120+ms response time with the artificial refresh rates setting on and ~33ms response time in game mode. Big difference.

@AlisonPentouseus I don’t think I’d say “many” seeing as how I’ve never even heard of it before. Also, all the information that comes up about it is YEARS after...

@Turismo4GT my day one ps4 is still going strong. Ps5 will be day one as well.

I’ve honestly got no desire to buy this. Given out as a ps+ game I’d add it to library probably, but I couldn’t see myself ever actually playing since there are so many games I actually want to play in my backlog.

Going to be a creative program made with streamers in mind because Sony knows content creators have a lot of influence in the new gaming ecosystem.

I’m thinking there will be a showcase in August showing the games they’ve held back from announcing and a deeper dive into the ps5 (features, ps5 being there and being held etc.. likely also when they’ll announce price and release date imo).

This is going nowhere. Just leave it alone as shogunrok suggested. Impossible to know if any of these allegations are even true, and even if true it would be true of many, many products. Current gen consoles, series x, ps5 and many more.

I think it’s fantastic news! The setting has so much opportunity!

The first Witchers were conceived due to the appearance of monsters after the conjunction of the spheres and the discovery of magic. They knew nothing about the monsters so this would be them just learning how to fight all these strange new creatures.

Could make for some excellent shows.
