@stvevan well said. Software is not there but hopefully with Quest , PSVR and other headsets slowly moving to some kind of features parity would help smooth the development for many
I feel like there is going to be a DLC or the next GOW game - it feels there are still stories that haven’t closed. Sindri for example or Atreus’s mission to find giants…
Overall to buggest issue is combination of slower movement with TTK, wich makes it a Ok experience for MP but for Warzone it should be a little bit different and should not just die because of camping guy who waits 20mins for his kill.
@Jeaz streaming as portrayed in the post & at its source means that function will be available only for PS5, not PCs or phones. This is just to play same games on PS5 while saving space...
We will probably wait much longer until we see it on other platforms...
Horizon FW was great, but it felt weird in the second half. Zero Dawn was much more mysterious and about ancient evil machines/AI - I did not particularly liked Far Zenith as an enemy.
In terms of writing, Far Zenith's motivation and actions were not persuasive and honestly it all felt cheap in comparison to first game.
Nothing for me this month. Not a fan of Yakuza and played Far Cry a long time ago.
I guess it is pretty great for fans of Ubi games but I am kinda fed up with their games formula.
not that bothered about PS4 as many of my friends own PS5 already. & that's Eastern Europe so I guess the situation is not as bad with PS5 supply as it seems.
I have never played Silent Hill or know something about it. Still, the trailer and screenshots looks like it is quiete an athmosperic game. I really like games with stories that are not built for kids and have depth to it.
For some reason, they dropped Mouse & Keyboard support on PS5. Even if there’s crossplay, how am I supposed to compete together with my PC friends in PC lobbies? So annoying. COD or Fortnite could do the crossplay right, I do not understand why not to add input option for PS5 players - this way it is unplayable for me.
@Shepherd_Tallon your explanation is great and that is how Sony should communicate too. If it was Microsoft, people would cheer them up for it. I don’t know, Sony’s PR and marketing sucks in my opinion.
Not even mentioning how they approach their hardcore fans - like people on this blog - with boring State of Play events, avoiding any other communication and basically not engaging its audience in any way. Even if they secretly have a great line up of games.
@SinfulDestroyer exactly…my thoughts. There was even a rumour about event coming soon. Probably a new trend of having games reveal event after the summer (and sooner before release).
Their marketing is joke. For example last week I got an email regarding new PS Plus. It was just a plaing email with Playstation-styled header and footer and at least 2000 words-long text between. Like it was some kind of internal email or something and not a marketing email which is supposed to sell me new Plus tier or something...
I hope PSVR2 is finally the device for which we start getting proper AAA titles. Enough of demos - if Sony does not push the whole gaming industry through this kind of “treshold” I don’t know who can.
Honestly, it would be better if they just release 120fps on PS4 version of the game. This way - on PS5 native port - I cannot play with my Razor Raiju controller and still in 60fps....shame
I understand all that hate but to be honest, I still have not played an open-real-world that would be more fun. Maybe RDR2, except it is not modern era…
I will probably try this - hopefully it will not be a fail like Gta trilogy.
Sorry, I have nothing against the new concept of RPG AC in the last 3 titles... I loved Origins. But Valhalla is just so boring, side quests so stupid, main story is probably for 12 year olds, world design nothing special... Nah, just bad open world game in my opinion. It is depressing to see this.
omg, don't cry people. MP games are clearly popular among many gamers and SP titles are not going anywhere. Sony needs those GaaS games to fund their projects and as someone above mentioned - to stay away from their reliance on games like Fifa, COD (which could go away) and others...
Maybe this will be highly speculative from me - but if the first impression people have about PS5 for almost 1.5 year is that it is something premium and very hard to get - this consumer view could carry on through the whole generation, causing really high sales once those issues with production are reduced...
Because of 1 "credible insider", every media outlet was suddenly putting out articles saying it is getting delayed like it is a solid fact. All because they did not show much so far this year. Which was at time writing like 2-3 weeks. Lol
@theheadofabroom I agree with you on certain points in your reply. True - it is better to rather postpone the release of something, if it means better user-experience.
On the other side, my question is: Why not to release such a feature in a good state without bigger issues sooner? Especially if competition has done it properly and much sooner...
Feature that should have been there long time ago. Same for ALLM, VRR, SSD expansion (this took 1 year) and some other quality of life improvements that are taking. I love Playstation but sometimes they are so annoying
It is all about money from what I see. My hope is that new service will generate Sony enough money to bring more AAA titles.
Because even though I am minority I choose platform based on quality without looking at price and I do not mind paying more. Just getting the high quality.
@get2sammyb exactly my thoughts -> I believe there will be heavy discounts for exclusives. I will just make an educated guess and say it is better for them to get people subscribed, because retention % is probably high. Meaning they will get more money overall from subscribtions in a long run - even though if it would mean those heavy discounts…
with all respect I do not know about that many great VR games on PSVR, I could count them on 1 hand. Probably it does not represent a great value for Sony to have b/c for all games.
I feel like VR2 will be first proper VR on playstation with hopefully some AAA games for release. So if they port couple of the best games from PSVR1 to 2 + some new games, that should be enough.
I would just wait for official back paddles - hopefully they will come. PS5 Dualsense is pretty awesome controller and ability to add/remove back paddles would be the best option for me.

Re: Xbox on Charm Offensive to Push $69 Billion Activision Acquisition Through
Sure. Of course they will bring COD on PS for 70€, while free on GP.

Lol, you guys really think it looks good...? Looks cheap to me
Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Has Sold 50 Million Copies, But We Still Can't Get a PS5 Patch
I would pay for an upgrade honestly. Just give us 60fps patch omg.
Re: Horizon Forbidden West's Clawstrider Spotted in the Frozen Wilds of Poland
Do you guys think something's going on? Apart from overall PS5 availability?
Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but might be either some teasing or I don't know...
Re: Second Season of Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2 Delayed by Two Weeks
My main issues with Warzone 2:
Overall to buggest issue is combination of slower movement with TTK, wich makes it a Ok experience for MP but for Warzone it should be a little bit different and should not just die because of camping guy who waits 20mins for his kill.
Re: New PS Store Sale Drops PS5, PS4 Game Prices Below £20/$20
Never played Resident Evil games and would love to start with them. Would be great if they were added to PS Plus extra instead.
Re: Sony Highlights the Riches of 2023 in Upcoming PS5, PS4 Games Trailer
We probably don’t know about many great games coming, since Sony did not care to do a proper showcase in 2022 (probably due to Activision buyout)

Re: PSVR2 Will Have More Than 30 Games at Launch
Still considering buying PSVR2 on day1.
I want more AAA - although GT7 announcement today got me thinking about getting it just for that 1 game.
Re: Game of the Year: Robert's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2022
I thought Cyberpunk is bad just cos of bugs and tech issues. After finishing it I can confirm it is not bad - it is pretty AVERAGE.
Re: Game of the Year: #10 - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Game is really good, BUT what kills warzone 2 for me is a fast TTK.

Re: Poll: Will You Buy the DualSense Edge PS5 Controller, Now We Have a Price?
Nah, they can f off with that price. Sony is being unbelievably arrogant these days.
Re: Random: Did You Spot the Secret Details on PS5's Camo Collection?
@BritneyfR_ee some kind of OG anniversary grey edition would sell like crazy
Re: PSVR2 Manuals Are Being Printed Prior to Launch, Sony Massively Cuts Weight
I still hope for a Playstation show, where could be more info on PSVR as well as some new game reveals. Or details about upcoming games too.
Re: PS5 Is the Fourth Fastest Selling Console Ever in the UK, Despite Stock Issues
@playstation1995 nope - because as is the case with other consumer electronics lately, dollar is much stronger now. That's why.

As I was saying - terrible PR and marketing.
Re: PSVR2 Is Truly Next-Gen, And Indies Will Lead the Software Charge
Since it is not easy to develop something like PSVR for “only” couple million buyers, I am curious whether PSVR will be PC compatible.
It could sell much more units, help cover R&D and spread PS presence on PC even more.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 433
That Red Dead replay - I hope to do it once ps5 patch drops. Hopefully. Someday

They seriously need to come up with something already. Current PS Now and PS Plus feel outdated and irrelevant, pissing off people every month...

Re: Nothing to Announce on PSVR2 Backwards Compatibility, Says Sony
with all respect I do not know about that many great VR games on PSVR, I could count them on 1 hand.

Re: Scuf Reveals First Line of Third-Party PS5 Controllers, Prices Start at $200
@Icey664 same here. Despite the hype about Scuf, I think the quality of their base controllers does not justify the price tag.
I would recommend Razer pro controllers instead. Even though there is no news about PS5 version...
Re: Scuf Reveals First Line of Third-Party PS5 Controllers, Prices Start at $200
I would just wait for official back paddles - hopefully they will come.
PS5 Dualsense is pretty awesome controller and ability to add/remove back paddles would be the best option for me.
Re: Gran Turismo 7 Dev Not at a State to Talk About PSVR Yet
@Royalblues well of course not on a current PSVR. I think nobody counts on the firstgen VR
Re: Gran Turismo 7 Dev Not at a State to Talk About PSVR Yet
For me, it sounds like potential PSVR2 could be a real nextgen.
High resoloution, smooth framerate and better loading speed are all great.
But something as revolutionary as well-designed VR headset with much better software support would be truly amazing
