Really sad to see. Xbox was absolutely massive during the 360 era. And they have never been able to recover from the damage done during the disastrous lead up to the Xbox One. Really makes you wonder what could have been if that didn't happen.
Wow, just how unoptimized is this game? With visuals that are clearly not pushing any limits, this should be an easy 120fps game on PS5. I'm currently playing Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, and it easily runs at 120fps on my PS5 Pro.
I can't even remember the last EA game that I bought/played, so it'll be very easy for me to never touch any of their games going forward. I miss the old days of EA, when they made incredible games like Road Rash on the Genesis and 3DO.
Genuinely one of the most tone deaf, bone headed decisions that Capcom's e-sports division has ever made. Absolutely wild. I have always watched this event, but I will not be watching it this time around. This is Street Fighter x Tekken levels of Crapcom idiocy.
It's important to understand that while Clap Hanz did indeed make most of the Everybody's Golf games, it is actually not the original developer. That would be Camelot Software Planning.
@brakeman90 Just depends on the settings. In handheld mode at 720p, it's okay, but it does drop some frames (targeting 60fps). I've tried it in docked mode as well at higher resolutions to test it, and it definitely gets hit pretty hard even at resolutions like 900p. That's with visuals settings at their lowest.
Though I have missed a few updates, and it's possible that it has improved since I last played it.
Too many games to play and so little time! I really want to play this one, but I'm still making my way through Silksong, and then have Trails in the Sky to play after that.
There absolutely is a problem with developers releasing worse versions on the Pro. But there are also a ton of games that benefit from it. I personally haven't played one of the games with issues (just games that don't appeal to me), so it hasn't been an issue on my end thankfully.
I have long since stopped caring about how realistic games can look. Just give me better frame rates. Like Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter looks amazing while also running at 120fps. Give me great art direction with great performance.
It's an amazing remake that fixes pretty much all the issues I had with the original (which was also great in its own right). The Trails series is easily my favorite modern RPG series after Xenoblade. And no RPG series does world building as well as Trails.
Sony's PS5 Pro problems are just not going away any time soon it seems. They really need to crack down on developers who are releasing broken "Pro" versions of games. When base PS5 players are having better experiences than PS5 Pro users, it is a problem. And yes, I get it, most games don't have that issue. But the point is that it's happening often enough, and on high profile enough games, that it is a marketing disaster.
Not at launch. I waited until Castlevania Symphony of the Night released to finally buy one. That said, my friend who lived across the street got one on launch day, so I was playing it day one regardless.
Surprised at no mention of the AI generated tree and leaf textures (as mentioned on the game's Steam page). Such an odd choice from the developer to go that route.
Will not touch this game until they fix it, if ever. I'm sticking to the vastly superior HD remaster on my PS3. That was released two generations ago...
Was a little disappointed that the game doesn't support 120fps on PS5. It supports it on PC, and I can even get the game running at 120fps on my Steam Deck in docked mode without issues, so the game certainly is designed to support it. It helps so much to reduce sample-and-hold motion blur on modern displays, and this game has a lot of fast lateral scrolling. It's just really disappointing to see developers still refuse to embrace modern features on the current gen consoles for no reason.
Sadly, the performance seems to be a major issue in the game. I know this reviewer says otherwise, but I've seen the proof elsewhere. It's especially bad on PS5 Pro (worse than base PS5). So I'll just have to stick with the HD remaster. Happy for those that aren't bothered by that though! The visuals look pretty great.
But does the PS5 version support 120fps? They've said that the Switch 2 version will, but that's not a guarantee that the PS5 version will. It certainly should, but I'd love to know for sure.
I see a lot of people mentioning that it isn't the same character so it makes sense, but that isn't entirely true though, since it is the same character in Ground Zeros.
Would love it if it had a 120fps option to reduce motion blur on modern displays, but I doubt it since the PC demo was hard locked to 60fps. Regardless, I can't wait for this one! Been a huge fan of the series since the original NES game released back in the day.
Did they ever patch in a way to leave the "point of no return" area near the end of the game? I've been stuck there ever since they started giving free updates, and have never been able to try them out as a result. I just don't have the time to start a brand new play through just to get the free updates.
Never played it because I was never able to finish the first game (PS3 and PS4 versions). Every time I tried it, I always lose interest about a few hours into it.
It was always a problem with the series moving further and further away from its roots over the years. When you alienate the fans that made the series a success in the first place, it only leads to fewer sales over time.
I just could not get into Nightreign during the beta. And I consider the original Elden Ring to be one of my favorite games of all time. Sadly, I think I'm just going to skip this one.

Rest in peace legend.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 'Will Be Loved by Everyone', Says Director
Considering the problems I had with Rebirth, I find that highly unlikely.
Re: Backlash Begins as New Dissidia Final Fantasy Game Is Revealed for Mobile
@CutchuSlow What a strange comment. They don't this game on consoles. They want a good Dissidia game on consoles.
Re: Criticised House of the Dead 2 Remake Lurches to PS5, PS4 Just in Time for Halloween
Forever avoid Forever Entertainment. It's the only way to happiness.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602
I'm making my way through Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. What a great remake! I played through the original back in the day on my PSTV/Vita TV.
Re: PS5 Animal Crossing Clones Are Now Just Blatant Rip-Offs of the Nintendo Series
@CielloArc Not even close. Animal Crossing has always had a very distinct art style for its characters.
Re: Poll: Vote for Your PS5 Game of the Month (September 2025)
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter for sure. And it isn't even close!

Dang, do I get it on Xbox now, or wait for PS5 since it'll likely get some Pro upgrades.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metal Gear Solid Delta?
An amazing game wrapped inside a terrible remake. Absolutely broken on consoles. I would have bought it if it didn't run like crap on PS5 Pro.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Crashes Storefronts Like Steam, Not Even Live on PS Store
Still can't find any confirmation on if the PS5 version supports 120fps! All I know is that it supports it on Switch 2.

Re: PS5's High Price Becoming a Serious Headache for Publishers
The price of PS+ is especially egregious in my opinion. It should be half of what it is at most. And frankly, online play in general should be free.
Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Metal Gear Solid 5, 10 Years Later?
Best gameplay in the series, but sadly unfinished story, which really brings it down in the end.

Absolutely incompetent job by the developer and Konami for allowing this as the publisher. The game isn't ready and should be delayed until it is.

Still very much not for me personally. Never played the first game either. But happy for everyone looking forward to the game.

Re: Arcade Archives 2 Receives a Big Price Hike with Ridge Racer on PS5
