A fresh look at the upcoming Trails in the Sky remake is here, and all we can say is wow.
Without a doubt, this is the best looking Trails title yet; it really is leagues ahead of the most recent Daybreak saga. And remember, the original Sky games were made out of character sprites and isometric environments — so seeing Estelle and Joshua's adventure brought to life in full 3D is an absolute treat.
Anyway, the new trailer details the title's English voice cast, while also providing some snippets of gameplay. It's joined by a glut of screenshots, which cover the game's main party. It's good to see them again!
Trails in the Sky: 1st Chapter is still targeting an autumn / fall release date on PS5, and it's probably only a matter of time until we get to gawk at uncut gameplay footage.

Looks great, but the fanbase is insufferable with their gate keeping.
This is a day one purchase for me. The real question is, PS5 or Nintendo Switch (2)? We shall see. But man, it’s great to see my boy, Agate Crosner.

I'm so excited for this! The Sky trilogy is awesome and deserves to be played by as many people as possible. Sky 2 in particular is my favorite of the series.
@Kraven I hate the way they’re turning him into a nonce. There’s whole swathes of the Cold Steel games that are pretty unforgivable but that’s up there.

@ShogunRok I mean Estelle and Joshua have been in 3D in games since Sky so it's not really a new thing, though their new look in this new engine is AMAZING! <3
GOATed franchise and FC is one of my favorites so I’m really looking forward to this! I’m in the middle of Reverie with Daybreak 1 and 2 sitting on my shelf waiting. Hopefully I’ll be caught up by the time this releases

odd that this is getting a switch release but is not getting a ps4 release? last time i checked, the ps4 is a more powerful console than the switch. please explain falcom.
What was super neat was that I was making a video awhile back covering the Trails games, then the announced Sky FC Remake and I was able to add a mention of that during the video too haha.
@Zeroo this is pretty dramatic. It’s very easy to ignore a “fanbase” and just play what you want to play. I don’t know why people care so much what other people on the interwebs say.

I love jrpgs but I find it really hard to get into the trails games. I might check it out in a sale sometime tho
It seems they finally improved the art style a bit, this game doesn't look like an old PS3 game like the most recent ones.
Definitely looks like a step up from the Trails through Daybreak games, which I think look pretty good despite not being technically amazing. I think Falcom have a knack for creating visually appealing games despite not having cutting edge tech.
This looks great. Will be great to revisit!
