In addition to the free rewards, the two patches across PS5 and PC also unlock Hard Mode from the start of the game, and it's also now available in the Boss Challenge mode. There are also various other bug fixes and small changes which you can catch in the tweet from Shift Up:
On PC specifically, you can now purchase Stellar Blade badges, trading cards, backgrounds, and stickers from the Steam Points Shop.
Recently, it was confirmed that Stellar Blade has now surpassed three million sales across PS5 and PC, one million of which came from the recent PC version alone during its first few days on the market. A sequel is planned for release in the next handful of years.

Nice. I was wondering what that update was. It’s nice to see the continued support.
Honestly Shift up have given us so much free content, it's actually nuts! maybe selfish of me, but in the back of my mind, I want Sony to acquire them because they are just a great dev team.
What more can be said about the fantastic support this game has gotten? Shift Up really should feel proud of what they created with Stellar Blade. An absolute gem of a game.
Really looking forward to the sequel.
Wait was hard mode really not available at the start of the game?
@Nepp67 Not when the game first came out, keep in mind a new game hard mode will be kinda brutal but in a fun way.
I've been holding off for the Complete Edition, yet I loved what I played on the demo. It's nearing the time to place my order along with my PS5 Pro. Always amazing to know when developers are humbly thankful for their consumers and show them their appreciation by supporting their fanbase and for giving them more incentives (reasonably priced or free) to enrich their gaming session immersions.
Can't deny how great the support for it has been.
Everyone talks about the (excellent) character models but the soundtrack to Stellar Blade is simply... Stellar!!!
@Futureshark Me and @get2sammyb are the biggest advocators for how god tier the OST is for the game (currently playing it while typing this)
@LiamCroft there's a smelling mistake - "Stellar Balde has now surpassed three million sales".
@Oram77 Please no! Anything but that! I want them to stay independent and publish SB2 without Sony at all.
@Dalamar But Sony literally helped the development of Stellar Blade though.... Anyway I did say I was being selfish when I made that comment.
I wasn't expecting more free content, I thought the PC port and complete edition would be it.
@Supern0va Cheers, fixed!
I don't care much for the character skins as it's just visual and no additional stats. Are there any weapon skins in the game? I'd much rather search for those.
All of these free updates have been greatly appreciated. It's made Stellar Blade one of my most replayed games in recent memory. But what I'd really appreciate is an option to shorten or remove the cape on the Royal Guard outfit.
For aesthetic variety of course.
Have to admit that the soundtrack lifted an already fun game up a tier for me, and the support ShiftUp have thrown behind this has garnered a lot of appreciation from me.
Did they ever patch in a way to leave the "point of no return" area near the end of the game? I've been stuck there ever since they started giving free updates, and have never been able to try them out as a result. I just don't have the time to start a brand new play through just to get the free updates.
Stellar blade a gift that keeps giving
@Oram77 I didn't even care about losing to the... I guess third to last boss (the one that tests your ability to parry)? Not dropping a name to avoid spoiling it, but that track is a certified banger.
@Oram77 wait, how many hands do you have?!
This game is a blessing and shift up is the best company by far at this point im still hoping for a new summer update or something that we never got an Halloween update ohh please just do it shift up
I love the soundtrack for this game, definitely going to check these new versions out.
