Don‘t get me wrong, I can‘t wait to play AW2 again. I stopped because I couldn‘t stand this aliasing. That image quality isn‘t acceptable, I wiped the game and all data from my ps5 and re-downloading it with the latest patch already applied as a last resort. I don‘t care if it dips intp 50fps or digital only release.

But those bugs are so damn straight in your face since the very first minutes of gameplay and you simply can‘t ignore them in a review. They should split the rating into idk „story & gameplay“ and „technical issues“ that really have an impact on the experience.

I always liked your reviews but since this 10/10 game, I‘m more sceptical now. If this was a pc review, I couldn‘t agree more but this review for ps5 is obviously a sponsored one. There are SO SO many bugs. Visual bugs like superbad anti-aliasing, the whole picture is shimmering, those weird white dot artifacts, ultra bad shadow quality, jittery UI elements. Audio bugs like super low audio in mind room, two or even three languages gets mixed up in cutscenes and conversations, lip desync. Not talking about those gamebreaking bugs that can‘t be fixed with a checkpoint reload. The second patch „fixed“ over 200 bugs and you gave it a 10/10 before that patch? First patch = „localization issues are fixed“ -> nothing is fixed. Second patch = „localization issues are fixed + better aliasing“ -> nothing is fixed. Those are bugs and issues you face literally in the first ten minutes of gameplay. I have never seen a game with THAT bad aliasing since ps3 era, I‘m dead serious. Go look at alan wake 2 twitter account, this game is FULL of bugs. Either the reviewer was lazy and played the pc version and assumed it wouldn‘t be that much different than the console version.. or we have 100% evidence that this is sponsored.

Image quality on performance mode on ps5 is so much better. So much that I deleted my 10hr savegame and start again

On a really quick first look, performance mode on PS5 looks way better. No aliasing from ps3 era anymore it seems

Yeah he is changing. I don‘t get the connection between the first teaser (both in their red suits, venom teased as the villain) to the 10 minute gameplay (Peter wears venom aka the villain as a suit). What happened between those trailers? Peter gone bad because of venom suit? Why is he wearing venom? Why does miles act like normal when his buddy is wearing venom aka the villain? Is venom teaming up with spider mans? Is he wearing a symbiote like suit, is he wearing venom, or what? I don‘t get it

I seriously have no clue why Peter has a symbiote suit. The first gameplay reveal (the 10 minute one) showed the black suit first and I though venom has taken over spider man in a bad way. But miles and Peter act like normal. Is this just the black suit from spider man 3? The 10 minute gameplay reveal looked a lot like venom is not the villain in this game, it looked like he let Peter uses him and his powers to fight Kraven.

DualSense..? At the beginning every review had some information about the controller but lately it‘s never mentioned

Mhhh the guy who is asking is specifically asking about the PC version.

I was so pissed when I found out this is a global release and I couldn‘t play it on midnight.

In season pass year 2 we can expect the gamma slider behind a paywall.

In the end I can live with that as I preordered just the standard edition but this is a letdown. I mean they are just animations but it‘s weird to have these tucked behind a paywall
