A good start, hopefully they crack down on the rest of the trash. I know it's all meaningless at the end of the day, but as someone who has been an avid trophy hunter for 10+ years, it's been really frustrating watching people gather literally hundreds, even thousands, of these platinums and shoot way up the leaderboards.

I don't trust a remake, and the game holds up remarkably well. Please just port it to PS4/PS5. The PC version is sitting right there.

A few random comments on YouTube were saying there was some input delay with the PS5 version - did you notice anything like that Sammy?

Oh I've been waiting for this. Maybe a hot take but I think FFT was not only the best Final Fantasy spinoff but possibly the best FF game full stop.

The game really doesn't need a remake, just let us play it on modern consoles.

Could certainly do without all the Kingdom Hearts-esque story changes they felt compelled to make.

Literally just put it on modern consoles as is, it still holds up magnificently well.

Sort of looks like that game Reverie that came out a few years back, wonder if its the same devs.

Maybe a dumb question but how does one play an RTS game like AoE2 with a controller?

@somnambulance This has been my attitude toward it for the last few years as well. Embrace the cringe and the ridiculousness of it all and it can actually be a pretty fun time.

We just got the pixel remaster like a year ago. The game is still playable and holds up great today. There's really no need for them to do a remake, just cherish the memories folks.

Love FFVI, but I really hope they don't attempt a remake. Just enjoy the memories friends.

FFVI is one of my favorite games of all time which is why I say - just enjoy the memories folks, there's no way a remake is going to capture that or make it better.

@thefourfoldroot1 I think this is another of the seemingly many cues that this game is taking from Chrono Trigger. CT was a game that was perfectly balanced and required zero grinding whatsoever.

Shout out to Nobody Saves the World, which was fantastic but unfortunately should have been titled Nobody Played This Game.

@thefourfoldroot1 I hope they do have individual plats - they definitely should - but the Crystal Chronicles remaster NOT having a plat makes me a wee bit skeptical

There's been a handful of great games since the merger, but nothing like the golden years of pre-merger Squaresoft when they were consistently putting out banger after banger.

I tried looking this up and couldn't find a conclusive answer, but was this made by the same people who made RPGolf Legends? The story premise is identical and the gameplay seems very similar.

Played Diablo 1 and 2 a tonne back in the day but these days it's hard to get excited about anything Blizzard does.

I still can't tell if 'NASTY' means he played the trombone good or if he played the trombone bad, but either way that's a perfect word to describe the sound of a trombone.

@GreatAuk For me, and I suspect a lot of other trophy hunters, part of the fun was competing in the leaderboards against other trophy hunters, but over the last couple years the entire system has been altered because of the massive influx of these 'press X for platinum' type games. Sure, there's always been some games that were easier/quicker to plat than others, but at least they were actual GAMES. It's gotten to the point now where anyone, regardless of skill, could earn 100 platinum trophies in a single day provided they are willing to drop the cash on garbage like this game (or any of the 100+ that exist or will be released). For me, stuff like this has taken a lot of the fun, satisfaction, and sense of achievement out of the trophy hunting game.

Did you happen to notice whether each game had its own trophy list or not?

Looks great, I just really hope they don't change the events/plot of the game to align with the new Remake timeline. I also much prefer Zack's original VA, but that's a nitpick I can get over I'm sure.

SE is a mess right now but Yoshi-P being at the helm of 16 is the only reason I still have any excitement for it.

@Abarth_71 That will likely come in a future update - that's how they did it with the first game anyway.

I wonder if this means there's a chance for Chrono Trigger to come to PS4/5. I don't even need a tweaked or remastered version, I just want to be able to play my favorite game of all time on a modern console.
