I understand that not every month can be winners, as there are only so many games for the system, but it grinds my gears that they take games off of plus and then put this stuff on there
I found it a little lacking after a few hours. It was fun for that short period of time, but honestly, I'm glad I just got it on my phone. I can only deal with the repetition for so long
I was a little upset that upon researching, that sites were saying this was intentionally not provided to PS+ members. I already bought the DLC and was figuring I would just plunk down and get the base game. Now I'm seeing it was a bug? So.... Will Sony refund this?
Also, a little irritated that trophies don't immediately pop when loading my transferred save. They gonna make me restart in order to get them again?
I do really enjoy this but why is this the only game that triggers my motion sickness like immediately. None of the movement options help. I'm glad each course is about a half hour because I need a break afterwards
Having heard the continued hype for this, I had expected better? It's fine. I don't regret it but I find myself thinking Synth Riders is a far better experience. I play a few songs on Beat Saber (Queen ANNNNND Linkin Park?) amd then just want to play something on Synth Riders instead. Just more engaging and I find the included songs far better. Even songs that they share, like Pop Stars, are way better on Synth Riders.
I'm glad the rumble was pointed out and the random missed notes. I thought I was going crazy
As a new owner of VR with this device and not at all a Sony apologist, I think it's an overreaction. I believe Sony always intended for this to be a soft launch, as it was barely advertised. It does have a decent supply currently, but it's nothing different. Most of it is available elsewhere, despite being good. I'm not sure what their plan is but it's not very evident. I'm pretty content with Synth Riders, Pistol Whip, Saints and Sinners, and No Man's Sky, but I have basically nothing big to look forward to. That's a real failing of Sony but also something I'm fairly used to. I hope we get a State of Play to really speak directly to PSVR 2 adopters and give us something to look forward to
I never understood the cost complaint. If you have a VR headset, even if it's standalone, in order for it to run well, it needs a PC anyways. That's more expensive than a PS5. And the PSVR2 already outperforms basically everything else on the market. It won't be mass market. It's just not feasible. However, VR is really the only "new" thing being done in games these days. It's one of the only things that can be exciting and hope Sony can continue to push for it.
Synth Riders is my favorite. Demeo comes a close second with No Man's Sky. If NMS fixes the bad visuals, then it may be much higher rated.
I still cannot play After the Fall or Light Brigade without substantial motion sickness. Seems to be a fault with my dumb brain and not the game so I cannot rate them highly at the momen
@gbanas92 yep. With teleport and snap turning on, it seems to be even worse. But Horizon I have no problem with full smooth movement. I am new to VR so I'm sure there's some acclimation I'm still going thru. It's hard to know exactly what's causing it specifically for certain games
Weirdly enough, this is one of the only games that makes me feel the motion sickness. Maybe it's just the fog over everything that makes me strain a bit
This should and could easily be the showcase for PSVR2. Rhythm games work so well and Underground by Lindsey Sterling was a mind blowing experience. I would have thought Muses Starlight would have done it but it got real rough right in the crescendo and frame rate issues became awful.
Most of this isn't music I'd listen to elsewhere but in this context, it's epic.
I'm usually really good at rhythm games and stuff like Ragnarock really was enjoyable but I capped real quickly. I'm barely able to do Hard on this and I'm already reaching flow state and it's so amazing. I'm not even a super fit dude. But this may be my way of working out and finally getting back into shape
Easily the best rhythm game on PSVR2. I don't really know what you would expect from the soundtrack with a viking metal oriented game. 6 is comically low for this.
The man gave up living life and just abdicated all responsibility to others. By demanding that Cloud visit his wife's grave and requiring him to jump through hoops, it just continued that path. By virtually insulting him and demanding him to take care of matters himself, it gets him to live his life again, if just a little. Cloud is a dick, sure, but it was for a reason
Bleh, I forgot to sign up. Having folders and offline trophies would have been really nice to test (and should have been day 1 features >_>). I got into previous tests but just slipped my mind to sign up for this one.
It has a fun concept, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I was massively disappointed with the gameplay and the constant play-by-play got grating after a while. Some games, like Bastion, do it wonderfully, but this game is no Bastion. They seemed to be trying too hard with the humor and it fell flat on most lines.
@SonyInfinity Hasn't Square Enix said that there isn't really a love story here and that the main story will focus on the male party? Luna isn't really a love interest if I remember. She just has an arranged marriage with Noctis
It could simply be what the X1 does where you could essentially plug other devices into the NX, but that's about it. I don't think anyone wholeheartedly expects Nintendo to somehow get the PS4 working with it.
And just watch... they'll charge 20 bucks to access the area that used to be in the game too. I'm still cautiously interested in the game but dang, it's pretty ballsy to admit that you are removing content from the game that was previously playable, and then admit that you'll probably add it in again later.
It was really cool in concept but the repetition reared its ugly head really quickly. After playing a few rounds, I had little desire to start again. If they could vary things a little bit, then I'd be all aboard a sequel.
Is it any better than the first one? After hearing the hype for the series, I was quite let down by the first game. Just wondering if someone could tell me if it's much better than the first one
A lot of these seem to be multiplatform though My PS TV has been getting use with Freedom Wars and Tales of Hearts r recently though. World of Final Fantasy (and maybe Sword Art) is probably the only one that appeals to me on that list although I will definitely get it on PS4 first.
I was a fan of the first one, but I only wanted to play co-op modes so it got a little stale too quickly for me. Not sure that this one will remedy it at all. Kinda seemed like the same game but you played as the Zombies.
I personally think that PSVR will completely tank. It will either be priced way too high and/or there will be an utter lack of killer titles or support, like what happens will almost EVERY peripheral. The initial hardcore base will buy it at launch but I doubt anyone else will buy it after that unless Sony announces every one of their major exclusives have PSVR support.
-A lot more HD "remasters" of PS3 titles. And no one will seem to care.
-No Man's Sky and The Last Guardian will both come out, not be that great, but people will someone justify it.
-A no name indie studio will release a game on the PS4 this year and it will surprise everyone to be the highest rated and most highly praised title of the year. It will coincidentally not sell well.
-A dormant classic Sony franchise will be revived! But only via a Kickstarter campaign.
@ShogunRok @get2sammyb I wasn't implying specifically to this site, but was meaning as a whole in the industry. There is such a focus on sales numbers and the mention that Sony has to thank fans and pat everyone's back seems like the worst kind of pandering.
Not sure what my avatar has to do with anything. So I like the Xeno series (which has a huge catalog on Sony platforms). I still own a Ps4, ps3, ps2, ps1, psp and a pstv. I also own Nintendo consoles also. So I ask once again, what does my avatar have to do with anything. If it was Kos-mos, would that instantly validate my opinion. If I wanted to play your game, I could easily point out terrible Vita numbers and tout the 3DS, but it doesn't matter regardless.
I am just wondering why everyone seems to care about week to week and monthly sales when it really doesn't directly impact us in any way. Its puzzling to me, but obviously I'm not allowed to think that. Sorry.
Unless VR can step it up to be a full-dive system like Sword Art was, (minus the whole dying bit) then it just won't be that great. It will never be immersive if all you can do is just see the world. You need to use all of your senses.
I'm hoping that there is a turn-based, just because I prefer a thinkers game as opposed to a reflex game, but something tells me that it would essentially be an "easy mode".
@icarusdreams It's functional at least. I can't play some of the Vita games I own back when I had a Vita (like Uncharted, Soul Sacrifice or Gravity Rush), but all of my other PSV and PSP games work fine. I had some quirks with my PS3 controller not registering too well from time to time but it corrects itself. I got it for 30 bucks so I can deal with a few issues if it means being able to play my games again.
What's really sad is that almost all of the top 40 in the US is pretty much from one genre. And that genre is really only popular in the US. It's baffling when rock superstars of 2015 like Avenged Sevenfold, Five Finger Death Punch and even newcomers like Royal Blood and The Pretty Reckless are nowhere on these lists, despite having mammoth openings on the charts. Even my favorite metal band Bullet for My Valentine is relatively unheard of in the US, despite having their new cd this year opening at #1 everywhere else in the world.
Folders are the only thing I care about. If I want to play a game I haven't touched in a month, it can take a while to find it. Baffling how the PS3 and Vita had this but the PS4 is conspicuously absent
