@Ravix wouldn’t be so bad if it was 30fps minimum. Some places it was a stuttering mess. Unfortunately.

I’m playing with RT on because it looks so beautiful! But the frame rate is all over the place, so bad. If the PS5 Pro can play it at 60+FPS I’ll be happy.

Performance mode looks very blurry though and the only difference I can tell so far (only an hour in) is the monsters look more detailed. Kinda disappointed- but I’m probably remembering it looking better than it did.

Ignoring technical issues, honestly thought it was average.

This looks really fun, but I don’t really like Harry Potter so I’ll give it a miss. Hopefully one day the devs make another set in a different universe.

Elite controller is $250 over here so I expected that price range. It’s unfortunate but I figure it’s about 2x full priced games ($120) so meh.

I was looking forward to it but the demo put me off. Big fan of a couple of old star ocean games. The intro were they’re getting shot up and stuff was so bad. The emptiness and art style felt in the environments were poor. Honestly, I think after Elden Ring’s environments, Star Ocean and Valkyrie felt very last Gen and very out dated.

@AdamNovice nah, I distinctly remember people complaining when the PS4 came out. HD TV’s were just taking off so there was a lot of people with new shiny 1080 TVs for the first time and pushing 1080 @30fps was an issue.

So pretty much the same price as the Xbox elite controller. Nice. Gimme!!

Would prefer 4K 40fps as a minimum as standard. Lower resolution and at 30fps seems sad.

Yeah we’re gonna have to wait for the PS5 Pro for 4K 60fps to be normal. Much like the PS4 Pro to get 1080p 30fps.

Heck yeah, as soon as it release in Australia I’m getting one. Having back paddles is fantastic.

I’m going to be buying this on PC and PS5. It will have to take a big graphic hit playing on my laptop, but this is my OG game from when I was a youth. I need a copy on my PC (the original had a great HD upgrade on GOG.com). And on PS5 so I can play it in all its 4K VRR RT OLED glory while sitting my old ass in the couch. I was really hoping for a collectors edition but I’ll take what I can.

With people liking hard games again (thanks DS and Elden Ring!) I’m sure this will find a new fanbase with the younger gen.

Far Cry 6 was my favourite Far Cry. But I was disappointed with the season pass. A real expansion would be great.

That’s a shame. Pretty much over games that force hours of grinding just to make the game longer. Not every game needs to be 80hrs +.

The original was only OK. The cell style was new and different and the comic book style. But I don’t see why people would spend money and time making two remakes. Strange.

Had fun with the beta. But yeah, it’s still the same old game from a decades ago. The beta was enough for me, I’ll wait for something else. Hopefully the Last of Us multiplayer isn’t too far away.

Played enough of the demo to know I’ll be buying it. Didn’t finish it as don’t want any spoilers.

But oh boy, that Star Ocean demo… has to be the weirdest looking character models I’ve seen in the past decade.

I will get LoU1 at some strange, I’m busy with all the PS Extra games at the moment, and it’s a bit pricey here in Australia.

It’s been a long time, but I thought the PAL version while running at 50hz looked better because they have extra scan lines? The lower hz was due to the CRT having to display the extra lines? Memory a bit clouded after 35yrs. Don’t do drugs and raves kids.

Great they kept at it. I’ll pick it up one day for sure.

It was okay. The parkour got a bit tedious by the end and I thought the performance was quite bad even on PS5. The graphics quality didn’t seem to match the sluggishness. I kinda do hope for a PS5 Pro next year, seems games struggle to hit 60fps without big graphic and resolution downgrades. I’m looking forward to seeing what proper DLC they come out with, they added some good stuff to DL1. but so far I’m not impressed with time trials, skin unlocks and such. Waiting on story DLC.

@PlatinumPlaystation yeah, I kinda feel since Bethesdas next games are Xbox only they’re trying to milk $ from PS users as long as they can.

Yes! I hope there’s a collectors edition for PS5. The first game is my all time fav (above Deus Ex). So stoked to play this remake. I can’t wait!

@HUMPERDOO I quit it after a while too, think it was around the time you can move the bridge to open different portals. I found it boring, walk forward, attacked by mob, kill mob, walk forward 10m, another mob, mash attack button, move forward, mob again and again. I just tired of it quickly for some reason. It’s kinda like Guardians of the Galaxy but I found that story was worth pushing forward. I’ll probably skip the next GOW unless it’s free.

Isn’t GOW already free if you have a PS subscription?
