@IOI completely agree. I was loving it for about 3/4 of it, but came out of it feeling completely underwhelmed for some reason. Plus I think those two headed boss fights were badly designed.

@BoldAndBrash The are plenty of great linear Single player examples with amazing presentation that have come out this gen. Guardians of the Galaxy, Plague Tale/Requiem, Gow Ragnarok, Callisto Protocol, Kena, RE Village...I could go on.

I mean the main reason is probably the cost of living in the UK and no one is able to afford full price games at moment.

I got a random Amazon voucher so I've been able to enjoy the Calisto Protocol this week.

I played the Mass Effect Trilogy again when it came out and I was stunned at how good it all still is. All three games are great, don't listen to the ME3 haters. Liked the ending personally.

Psychonauts 2 is £16.99 at the moment on the store which is a huge discount if anyone is interested. Only available until tonight though!

Apart from a few hiccups Chorus is actually pretty great.

Also in response to this article, I think you are right. A quick Google reveals that the top search, at least earlier, was 'Uncharted 1 PC'. So people are wondering if they can play 1-3 first before 4.

I reckon they are remaking Uncharted 1, as we speak.

I don't particularly care about 60fps. However is worth noting that F-Zero X on the N64 was 60fps, for example. However - most of time these days it might be time or budget constraints that means the programmers can't optimise as much as they'd like.

Looking forward to this. The zero G updates have been lifted from Dead Space 2 which is also fantastic. Would love them to remake that as well.

I'm not a fanboy but Microsoft is essentially saying 'how dare you stop game pass on your consoles Sony', whilst at the same time making cod, Bethesda games exclusive to Xbox games pass platforms... Am I missing something or are Microsoft so arrogant that they literally just don't give a **** anymore lol.

If you haven't played it by now you probably don't want to.

If you're watching the TV show when it comes out and think you might want to take a dip, with the cost of living as it is, wouldn't you just get the cheaper ps4 version, already patched to 60fps?

Must be a cheap upgrade to make for Guerilla and Sony, defo to coincide with the TV show.

I've played both Horizon games a bunch and completed the first one twice (and got Platinum), both are great but do I wanna go in for round 3 on the first game with slightly upgraded textures and assets, nope!

This just in, Ragnarok remaster will be realised in December.

I love Dead Space 1 and 2 as well so this is a rare day one purchase for me.

I'm a huge Monkey Island fan. I highly rate MI 4 (yes you read that right) but love all of them. This new one is great as well.

I thought Starhawk was better actually but bring back either Sony!

Finished Guardians of the Galaxy a while ago but to all those playing the first time round, it's really really good, glad you're enjoying it!

Ubisoft Forward this year was literally so cringe, like, the dancing bit, who thought this was a good idea? Utterly baffling.

In all seriousness I think Ubisoft are in trouble. Most of the stuff they presented just looked so dull to me, they are struggling to find a hit beyond AC.

I personally stopped playing Cod a long while ago. However I think Microsoft ballsed up their messaging a bit by saying that Cod will remain multi-platform and the insinuation was that it was going to stay that way. I think Sony are right to call them out on that if privately ms were saying, actually, you can have three years but that's it.

Shame about this game. I was excited about it before it came out but never played it. Not fussed about playing it either, might do one day.

I'm playing Observer System Redux as it is on PS Extra. Played the original when it came out and loved that, but this update is even better. It's just so wildly inventive and out there that I can't help but not love it!

Also: the story set up of Observer is that there's a deadly plague on the loose and everyone's on lockdown, this was released way before COVID and at the time it seemed like quite an interesting horror idea.

Listen, I'm not this type of gamer but in the UK there a huge subset of people who buy FIFA every year, maybe Cod and maybe an Assassin's Creed title, that's it, that's what they play. I think the problem is that those three titles right there have pieced through gamer culture and into the mindsets of the average person. Plus, they are annualised (AC used to be) and established - what you are getting is on the tin. The average Joe doesn't know that Horizon or Ghost is like Assassin's Creed, nor do they care. If all your mates are playing Fifa, you're probably gonna do the same. The issue for properties like Ghost is social, and psychological - here in the UK at least.
