Steve Fukuda was the director of Respawn Entertainment's excellent FPS series, Titanfall, and led development on both Titanfall and Titanfall 2. More recently, Fukuda has peeled off a small team of Respawn developers and is hard at work on a new IP, given the directive to "find the fun in something new".
The news comes to us by way of Axios, which published an interview with Respawn director Vince Zampella in which the studio boss dropped the tantalising tidbit.
Fans have been clamouring for another Titanfall game for years now, although the future of the series remains unclear. A new IP would be appreciated in the absence of that, though, wouldn't you agree? Let us know in the comments section below.

@nomither6 yeah i hear you though i'm hoping for a titanfall free to play game. A huge map based style shooter with all the bells and whistles that comes with the titanfall multiplayer...now tell me that wouldnt whet your whistle 🤔

Titanfall 2’s campaign was a masterpiece, I would love for 3. I’m pretty much down for anything this team does that let’s me play a single player campaign though.
@Odium I fully agree.TF2 was easily the best storymode/campaign of any FPS last gen.
My money is on a Titanfall / Overcooked cross over.

@_camo_ I couldn’t agree more. I wouldn’t even put another FPS in its class.
I get everyone wants Titanfall 3, but let the studio create what they want. The studio is clearly very talented. I would prefer for them to create titanfall 3 when they’re ready to make it, not when we’re ready for it to be made. I would love to see what else they can create when the game isn’t related to the titanfall or Star Wars universe.
