What a joke? It is a work of fiction not reality Australian censors. Imagine the government telling people what they can and cannot do. It's stunning the level of governmental tyranny people put up with.
What an absolutely terrible review! I disagree top to bottom with everything you had to say about the game. In fact on the whole most of the reviews for this entire site have been bad and off lately. I mostly read them to laugh now. But back to this game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having trial and error to solve puzzles, particularly when you have infinite continues and generous check points. Secondly there is nothing wrong with having only one way to solve a puzzle. Not every game has to be open world and have multiple ways to solve puzzles. It's part of the challenge. Back in the earlier generations games were far more difficult. It is clear you would not have been able to hack it back then. But by far the most laughable and ridiculous thing you said is you hands cramped. Are you friggin' kidding me? Seriously? That is just frankly embarrassing. Finally it is terrible you are steering people away from this game because it is actually a great game. We need far more games with this level if creativity and uniqueness, not less. Fortunately your opinion is in the vast minority. Like in statistics to get the actual truth you get rid of the outliers, the highest and lowest scores. This game is no less than an 8, but it's a 9 in my opinion, and most people who played it came to the same conclusion.
@Hypnotoad107 You can do the same thing on Playstation. Ps plus gives you the 20 classic games right of the bat. Which is amazing. Secondly Ps plus has been killer lately, and it is clear we are getting brand new games with it now. We also got some killer games like Control Ultimate Edition and FF 7 Remake. Finally there is Ps Now that has almost 1,000 games 330 of which are available for download. I have to laugh when certain stupid articles say that they can't find anything to play on Ps5. Insane.
@RaZieLDaNtE Couldn't agree more. It's funny I play with the trickster as well and do the same teleport trick with the sword slice. It really is stunning to me how cheap everyone is on this site. If you bought a 500 dollar console surely you can pay full price for a game. As I said people don't realize that good value to the consumer has to come out of the developers end. I sincerely feel gamepass is going to have a very detrimental affect on the industry. I really don't understand how people don't want to support games and companies they love by by buying their games at full price.
Another terrible take from Sammy. What a surprise. First of all Outriders is a blast to play. You are supposed to pay the game super aggressively and use your abilities. I agree with Skill up's take. And a lengthy game with no microstransactions should be commended. Secondly I love how you are just in awe of everything Microsoft does. Seriously, get a grip Sammy. Gamepass is not the end all be all. And it's far from perfect. It is going to have a severely negative impact on the industry. First things first, you don't own your games with Gamepass. To me that is a pretty big thing. You are just renting it. Secondly Gamepass may seem like a great deal to the consumer, but that value comes at a high cost. And that cost is it lowers the perceived value of games in the eyes of the consumer. Games cost many millions of dollars and several years to make and when you allow people to play them for 1 to 15 bucks a month, that is all they think they are worth. This going to hurt many developers big and small, particularly indie devs who want be able to recoup their production costs. Some may go out of business. For larger game devs, if they can't recoup their development costs, then they will become more and more risk averse. So we will get less and less new and creative ip's and instead get nothing but established franchise sequels, many of which will be first person shooters. So no, Gamepass is not that amazing. Finally if you want to see the games and the companies you love stick around you have got to support them financially. The price of games has not gone up for almost twenty years, despite inflation steadily rising. I really don't understand how people think Returnal does not look like a full priced game. It's got killer graphics, amazing gameplay, super replayability, 3d sounds, and fully supports the dualsense. I love Housemarque games and so will happily support them day one.
You are the worst Sammy, seriously. You are always bitching and a constant malcontent, and more importantly a fair weather fan. I couldn't disgree more with everything you've said. You are like a petulant child in a car ride constantly asking their parents, "Are we there yet?" Or an ungrateful person at Christmas who reacts to his gifts saying, "That's it?" The Ps5 has only been out for about 4 months and in that time period was the fastest selling console of all time. It also had a solid launch lineup of games and solid games have come each month with many free Ps5 upgrades. Then starting in April we get at least one big game a month for the rest of the year starting with Returnal. And 2022 looks amazing as well. Sony has also really upped it's game with Ps Plus and Ps Now. With Ps Plus right off the bat you get the 20 game classic collection, which is great. Ps plus monthly games have been crushing games with gold lately releasing some truly great games like Control Ultimate edition and FF7 remake. On top of that we have been getting new releases with plus, which is pretty killer. With Destructiom All-Stars, Bugsnax, and Maquette. We also know that this trend will continue as next month we will be getting Oddworld for free, day and date. This is great and it shows Sony is commited to it's player base. On top of all that Somy has been giving free games away because of covid, which is a very cool thing they did. No the Bethesda acquisition did not change the game. Sorry. Yes it is a good pick up for Microsoft. But it's far from the end of the world. There is no denying that Bethesda's quality has gone down significantly over the last 10 years. Sony may have less studios but they have multiple teams working in each studio. They have better properties overall that are higher quality. Obviously Sony is going to respond. But who cares if Microsoft is temporarily dominating the news cycle? It is not going to last forever. Remember Microsoft had to do this because they got blown away last gen. Gamepass is not the end all be all. First of all you don't own the games with gamepass. Secondly gamepass' value to consumers does not come without a cost. It is a destructive force in the industry as it lowers the perceived value of games in the eyes of their consumers. This is going to hurt all the developers, but indie devs in particular, and likely cause many to go out of business because they can't get a fair price for their games. Finally Sony doesn't need to copy Microsoft. It's doing it's own thing, like offering the best single player games in the industry and many other things as well. Which many, many, people want. But they have an answer to gamepass, it's called Ps Now. It has 1,000 games 330 of which you can download. When you combine that with ps Plus you have a far better value than gamepass in my opinion. You obviously are so in awe of Microsofts money. You honestly think Sony has to react to everything Microsoft does the instant they do it? Get real. All you ever do is whine and be negative Sammy. Why don't you switch this site to an xbix channel because you seem so blown away by everything they are doing. The games from Bethesda are years away. In this entire generation they will probably only release 15 games from all if their studios. There are thousands of other studios and games left in the industry.
@carlos82 Well you don't own the games on gamepass and you need to be connected to the internet to play them. I have no problem paying 70 bucks to support the industry and the games I love because I want them to stick around. Everything has a cost. If the customer gets games cheaper than their worth, then the money comes out of the dev/publishers end. Games cost many years and many millions to make. If we don't support different games at full price they won't be around forever. Like Returnal. Absolutely worth 70 bucks in my eyes. The game looks stunning.
@starbuck2212 it's definitely a possibility. But we don't know how much the two Yuffie episodes are. I would guess 20 to 25. And you can get the Ps4 version for 30 now. For me however I like to have physical media so I can actually own it. So if the physical release has the Yuffie episodes on disc I will pick it up, even at 70 bucks. Because I like to support game companies I like as well as physical media because I would like it to stick around. I don't know why most people think physical and digital media have to be mutually exclusive. I prefer physical media but digital media has some advantages as well.
@Dr_ENT Well Mr. Smarty pants I can almost guarantee by the time the Ps6 rolls around, that abso-friggin-lutely Gamepass will not only be on switch, but playstation as well. They are trying to be the Netflix of gaming with a subscription based model. And as Phil has said multiple times, they are not trying to prevent anybody from playing their games. They didn't spend nearly 8 billion dollars on one company to hoard it. They are a business who are betting on the cloud/subscription model big time. They will slowly roll this out to get their fans used to it, so as not to create bad press and an exodus of loyalist xbox users. As a person who likes the playstation brand, who likes physical media (though not exclusively,) who likes hardware, and exclusives, the day Sony does games day and date new releases on either pc or xbox systems I will be done with them. It dilutes what makes each brand special. Fulltime retrogaming for me if this occurs. I wish Sony would try to emulate Nintendo rather than Microsoft. Nintendo has proven you don't need to put your games on pc nor do a Netflix style subscription service nor make games off the cloud. All you need to do is make consistently awesome games and hardware that make your ecosystem such a special place to game. Nintendo is actually a bigger company than Sony believe it or not. I really cont stand Jim Ryan he is making some decisions that are not good imo. I miss Shuhei Yoshida in that role. It's also very telling Sony moved their worldwide headquarters to California, woke central, just as droves of businesses are leaving as the state is so mismanaged and overtaxed. Good instinct Sony. I believe the head of Playstation should be a japanese person. Putting a lot of their games on pc and forgetting about japan is not without it's repercussions.
I guarantee you Kojima's next game is going to be an xbox exclusive. Considering Kojima wants his next game to be a cloud game and Microsoft is all in with the cloud, I think it's a done deal. Combine that with the fact that ludens was in the background of Phil Spencer's video, my gut says that's the truth. But it doesn't really bother me because I don't care about a cloud game and secondly compettition brings out the best of Sony. Prepare my fellow playstation people.
If you're jobless you probably shouldn't be buying a 500 dollar Ps5, right? It's an expensive hobby. The vast majority of people who buy a Ps5 can afford the games. And when you consider the price of video games has stayed the same for over 3 generations or about 23 years, people should understand that when it costs more to make a game, the price has to go up. If a few games get priced 10 bucks higher it shouldn't cause so much pushback. Especially when you consider inflation has been significant over those 23 years and that we are now in a new console generation. It's like buying a Ferrari and complaining it's more expensive to maintain than your previous Honda Civic. And again like I said you have got support quality companies like Housemarque, otherwise they go away or have to follow trends. It's just frustrating because it seems like people want their cake and eat it too. This bigger and better march towards ever improved graphics, sound, and control that is demanded each generation, doesn't cheap. That's all my point is.
It's astonishing how cheap everyone is on here. Housemarque is a great company that deserves to be supported. Unless all you want are Call of Duty sequels this is exactly the game you support. It looks amazing. Secondly game prices have not gone up in 20 years despite tons of inflation. It is now more expensive than ever to make a game but your right Returnal should cost what a NES game did which was 50 bucks. I'm beginning to think it might be a British thing because people are not nearly this cheap on other sites! Lol!
@Weebleman How do you figure? Returnal is a true Ps5 exclusive built from the groundup to take advantage of all the it's features. It has stunning graphics, great gameplay, 3D sound and is a AAA title with a ton of replay value and a great narrative. Please tell me how it is difficult to swallow? So sick of hearing this. Housemarque makes great games and deserves to be supported. People are cheap as hell.
Sounds like a personal problem Sammy. I swear all you ever do on this site is bitch or talk smack about playstation or Sony. There was absolutely nothing wrong with that State of Play. It was the very definintion of solid. 7 out of 10. We heard about some Ps5 pretty cool Ps5 upgrades and that most were free. We saw an awesome Returnal trailer, that showed the gameplay matches the amazing visuals. Easily a day one purchase(and don't even get me started on the cheap people who think Returnal should not be a full price game.) We got an awesome Kena trailer and a release date. And Deathloop is continuing to show Arkane Lyon has nailed the aesthetic, theme, and gameplay for this cool looking game. We found out that Oddworld launches day and date on Ps Plus for Ps5 owners. Which shows Sony is comitted to making Ps Plus one of the best values in gaming. With the classic collection you get 56 games for the price of 1 or 2 games. I thought Sifu looked like a blast; alot of fun. I was glad to see some Solar Ash gameplay. It looks quite good as well. Even the fantasy dodgeball looks like it will be fun. They sai they've been working on it for four years, so it will likely be very balanced. Which is good. Again overall the show was very solid. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. To those who thought it was trash, I not sure you are really a gamer. I like and play all sorts of games, including indies, imo it was good. It's only February and 3.5 months since a new generation started. They are not going to give huge things away when we are just 3.5 months until the E3 period! I would suspect that that show will be a monster. Where we will get the external storage unlocked as well as a bunch huge game reveals and studio purchase announcements.
What a surprise, pushsquare gets another review wrong imo! On the low end of reviews. Most have given this an 8 or a 9. And after playing quite a bit myself, it is clearly better than a 7. Same with the Y's monstrum nox review. Definitely not a 7. But I guess to pushsquare it's hard for games to match up to the quality of Metal Gear survive! Lol!
Actually that's not exactly true. The only sales data they give is sold to stores. They say that TLOU 2 sold 4 million the first week. But that was to stores. They did not sell through. I have a friend who works in a best buy. He said they got about 180 copies in when it released. After all this time there are still 95 copies left. We also know once people found out how they lied about Joel and what this game was all about sales fell off a cliff. Throughout the world, as pictures show there are 100s of copies available at stores collecting dust. That's why the price has dropped so dramatically so. The top ten digital downloads on the playstation store was released and Ghost of Tsushima beat TLOU2. And TLOU2 had an extra month on the market. Also Ghost Tsushina is still in the top ten im sales while TLOU2 dropped out months ago. Yes TLOU2 sold well to fans of the beloved first game at first. But once word got out about what the game was truly about sales slowed to a crawl. They can't give this game away now. While Ghost of Tsushima is still selling well. And will continue to sell well. Because it's not a divisive game disrespectful game. Ghost of Tsushima will end up outselling TLOU2 by a large margin when all is said and done.
@Party_Cannon Totally disagree respectfully...love the 16 bit pixel art. There's room for all types of games. Pixel art games exist for nostalgia but also because they can be made with fewer people and money and can be quality.
Yes it absolutely can be for nothing. The rabid TLOU 2 fans need constant re-affirmation that their game is as stunning and brave as they think it is. So they all moblize quickly to win any of these vote awards. I like most people didn't even hear of this vote on the PsBlog. If I had I would have voted for Ghost of Tsushima. By the same token I could say it can't be for nothing that TLOU 2 has a 5.6 reader score on metacritic with over 150,000 votes. And that is with a ton of fake perfect 10 reviews that say the exact thing as thousands of other reviews. Also it's the only review the person ever made. There is a reason after the initial blind purchases of TLOU, based on the love of the first game, that sales absolutely tanked. They can't give this game away now. That's why there are hundreds of copies on store shelves around the world and you can't sell it to gamestop. I have never seen a Sony first party game go down in price so fast.
The game could not be more deserving. It is an amazing game. I am equally happy however, TLOU 2 and the miserable, egotistical, Neil Druckmann lost. Unlike all the other game companies that thanked their fans for the support and the nominations. Druckmann, who is the co-president of Naughty Dog mind you, thought it would be best to go after anyone who didn't like his divisive game a hater. Instead of being grateful for the support it did get, his sensitive little ego couldn't handle any criticism, and still can't let it go. He views anyone with criticism as toxic (textbook prohection.) This shows what a petty and infintile person he is. To all the reviewers who fell all over themselves to praise this game, this shows his true colors and that there is nothing profound or deep about the man. We already had a good idea of what type of crappy person he was when he unceremoniously schemed to get rid of Amy Hennig. As well as how monumentally massive his ego is. This is also the same guy who decided to issue false copyright claims against youtubers who discussed the divisive content of the game after it leaked. He also, for the second time, lied to customers by using false advertising. Going so far as to put a fake scene in the adverstising for the game. Also it's such a crappy place to work over 70% of the staff have left since Uncharted 4. He truly is a wretched human being. But he doesn't have to worry, the woke game awards will of course give him all the awards he was nominated for on Thursday.
Too bad he is a terrible person who decided divisive identity politics was more important than making a good game. And I love how people say if you criticize what he did to the game you are toxic. This homogenous thinking is toxic. So is Druckmann. The majority of people did not like this game. Of course the woke/left out of touch game journalists thought this game was so stunning. However sales say otherwise. After the initial blind buys of the game based on the quality of the first game, sales fell of a cliff. I have never seen a Sony first party game drop in price so fast. It is permanantly at 39.99 and on sale for 29.99. Also at stores around the world there are hundreds upon hundreds of copies of this game collecting dust all, half off. And if you go to gamstat.com that shows how many people have played the game, it has barely gone up in 4 months. Of course TLOU 2 is going to virtually sweep at the game awards as woke game journalists are weighted 90% to 10% players. I am surprised they didn't nominate it for best sports game with Abbey's golf mechanic. Lol. All I can say if they continue to put identity politics in their games, Naughty Dog is going to continue to lose vast amounts of customers.
@Arnna Wow I've really got in your head buddy. It's really quite sad. As much as I would like to be entertained by the telling things your over sized ego spouts out. I unfortunately have to work early in the morning. Perhaps another day.
@ajbrasel Hey bud. A true conservative would not tell another person to shut up because they had a different opinion. It is definitely a liberal thing. No conservative would have a problem with people selling their own property for whatever the market can bear. Secondly where we all can agree I think, is that the bots that buy up all the stock are a problem. But it is very illuminating how everyone resorts to insults if anyone dares to have a different opinion from the mob.
@Flaming_Kaiser Hey bud why don't you chill with the insults. You don't know a thing about me. First of all I am not a redneck. I am a college graduate who owns his own business. Second of all I'm glad you love your country. That's a good thing. I like the Netherlands as well. But I also love my country. Did you know that 50% of all immigration in the entire world is to America? The reason is because we are the most free country in the world. I also agree that capitalism isn't without it's flaws but it is by far the best system in the world. You may like the benefits in your country like healthcare for all. But it comes at a high price as you have some of the highest taxes in the world. Anyway take care.
@Arnna Very telling you think because someone expresses an opinion that is different than yours they are looking for a fight. Or that it's utterly pathetic for me to speak my opinion. You are the sad intolerant one. Not me. And so what if I speak up against all the super leftist talking points in gaming journalism. It's a fact they are leftist and pushing an agenda. About 50% of all game journalists are located in Los Angeles or another place in California. That means they project their leftist talking points. I like a lot of people just want to hear about games without the politics. Like it used to be. It's pretty sad most people don't believe in free speech anymore. They just want to live in their echo chamber. So yes I do not have a problem with scalpers. But I actually do have a problem with the bots buying everything up. That is simply unfair.
@PhhhCough I think you are talking about lefties bud. Oh I'm not allowed to have an opinion unless I agree with everyone. I see. Who uses cancel culture? If you think that is going off the hinges your grasp on reality is tenuous at best.
@Arnna You can be as smug as you like. But based on opinions on this site. They are definitely liberal. As is the vast majority of games journalism. And all the buzzwords you mention are much of what is wrong with the world and the videogame industry at large. Here's another one for you NPC.
God this site and it's bleeding heart liberal tendencies. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone selling a product they own at a price the market will bear. No one is forcing you to buy anything. If it's priced too high it won't sell. But if two parties agree to a price, who is hurt by this? Do you think the government should tell you how much you should be able to sell your property for? That is not freedom.
@Max2574 Why should it be against the law? Do you not believe in personal freedom? No one is forcing you to buy anything. So you think a person who owns sonething shouldn't be able to sell it for whatever the market allows. So you think the government should be able to tell how much you are allowed to sell your property for? Perhaps you should move to China as it appears you don't believe in freedom.
Give me a break pushsquare! No one is forcing you to buy anything. It's a choice, do you want this package or not. If you only want the Ps5 then this package is not for you and you should wait. You guys are obviously bleeding heart liberals. There is absolutely nothing wrong with companies offering combo packages. If they sell there is demand. If not then it's too much. Nobody can make you do something you don't want to. You said this made you roll your eyes. This article made me roll my eyes.
@Sekys I am chilled. You're right it's his opinion. But certain things are objective facts. And like I said it is my choice to believe Digital Foundry.
I'm afraid the rest of the reviewing world doesn't agree with your assessment of backward compatability. Most notably Digital Foundry. No frills. Hardly. They in fact were amazed by it. And considering I find myself disagreeing profoundly with your opinion lately. I think I'll go with the people who actually deal with technology on a daily basis. They said it was amazing. Also giving Spiderman an 8 is laughable.
I love Housemarque and all the games they have made thus far. Playing Alienation again right now. Love dualstick shooters. Returnal looks amazing as well. Housemarque seems to be a perfect fit for worldwide studios. If Sony hasn't picked them up yet they should. Along with Bluepoint games and Kojima Productions. All three seem like they belong at Sony already.
First of all I'm not offended by a single thing you said. You have every right to have your opinin and express it. But in your two responses to me you have come across as arrogant because you are stating things as if your set of belief systems is objectively correct as opposed to it being, subjective, which is what it clearly is. Secondly I take umbrage with the way you have chracterized my position. You suggest that because I don't want either government or the private to surveil us for the stated goal of moderating and puniashing so called "bad behavior," that I somehow lack compassion or empathy for people. Particularly so called marginalized groups. I can honestly say I can't comprehend how you arrived at this conclusion. The actual reality could not be further from the truth. Believing that private communications between gamers should remain private and not be recorded so someone can't snitch on anyone because they got their feeling hurt, again does not mean they lack compassion. It simply means we believe that individuals should be the ones to solve problems that may arise, not a third party. You next suggest that I don't believe online spaces should be open to everyone because I don't believe that surveilling people's private communicarions for code of conduct violations is a good thing to be doing. You suggest that the only way for people to go online safely is by being monitored by the conduct police. I really don't get this assertion either and it is I think, frankly, an absurd notion. Partcularly when you have an option to end all types of communicarion instantly if you so choose. The sage advice advice that we are given as kids is sound, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will NEVER hurt me." Truer words were never spoken. I think we are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one my friend. Take care
@theheadofabroom And if you took a poll the main reason why people might complain is because leftist ideology has crept into everything from entertainment to the boardroom but especially schools. Teaching everybody they are a victim. Also I have not conflated private spaces with state institutions as you put it. This is my opinion about how I would prefer society to be run/behave irrespective of laws and rights. And believe me I understand the difference bud. Just a tip, if you want to try and sway people with your argument you might to lose the condescention, arrogance, and holier than thou attitude. Finally I love how you believe there can only be two choices. The government/police surveilling us or private corporations surveilling us. We couldn't just, you know, be left alone. We can't have a world where people take personal responsibility for themselves. People need to grow up a little and stop being offfended so easily.
@theheadofabroom The irony in your above comment is that you are exactly what you accuse other people of being. You mock other people who view privacy and liberty as more important than having so called accountability rules that are slowly ushering in the future George Orwell wrote about in "1984." You do this by labeling them as privileged. Whether you realize it or not what you said is leftist ideology. And the tone of your comment has an arrogance to it that suggests you think your viewpoint is how the rest of the world should just obviously be. Well I respectfully disagree. I believe you should treat everyone with respect if they do the same to you. At the same time I believe the harping on identity politics from the left is actually dehumanizing. I believe in judging and interacting with people on an individual basis not identity group like gender or religion. And I say this as a gay man. As for the issue at hand, I don't like the tattle-tale system. If someone called me something nasty and it bothered me that much I would just turn off the mic and volume but more than likely I would respond with a witty retort. I don't need big brother or a nanny state thank you very much. Anyway I hope you have great day.
When I was a kid even teachers would say nobody likes a tattletale. Now eveyone's a tattletale I guess. If someone is bothering then just stop communicating with them. I may be in the minority here. But I don't find this a good thing. I shouldn't be surprised. In a recent survey a majority of college kids said they didn't believe in free speech because of hate speech. The allowance of so called hate speech is the whole point of free speech. You don't censor speech to protect yourself from hearing what you don't like. Likewise rather than snitching on someone, how about you just turn off communicating with them if you don't like what you're hearing.
Absolutely!! I have loved level-5 games since Dark Cloud!! Sony should buy them and save them. Their games sell pretty well according to gamstat.com, this is a bummer and very strange!
Well that sucks. I was going to support this game, especially because they said there would be no microtransactions. Congratulation Gearbox and Counterplay you just lost a sale. There is absolutely no reason for this I don't care what you say. Truly a bummer.
I absolutely adore Housemarque. I have always loved their games. I am a big fan of twin stick shooters. They are definitely a cool part of the industry and the epitome of why indy devs are so important. I would be shocked if Sony hasn't bought them already or is going to buy them. When they released the statement earlier this year about how they were still buying developers but they had to be very creative and match the playstation ethos, Housemarque was the first company that popped into my mind. And Kojima Productions.

Re: Disco Elysium: The Final Cut Refused Australian Classification
What a joke? It is a work of fiction not reality Australian censors. Imagine the government telling people what they can and cannot do. It's stunning the level of governmental tyranny people put up with.
Re: Little Nightmares II (PS4) - An Artistic Exercise in Trial and Error
What an absolutely terrible review! I disagree top to bottom with everything you had to say about the game. In fact on the whole most of the reviews for this entire site have been bad and off lately. Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4
Insane.
Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4

Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4
@get2sammyb It shouldn't deter anyone. You don't own the games with gamespass. And if you don't have an xbox why would it matter?
Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4
Re: Reaction: What Next for PlayStation?
Re: Bethesda Says 'Some' Future Games Won't Launch on PS5, PS4
@carlos82 Well you don't own the games on gamepass and you need to be connected to the internet to play them. I have no problem paying 70 bucks to support the industry and the games I love because I want them to stick around. Everything has a cost. If the customer gets games cheaper than their worth, then the money comes out of the dev/publishers end. Games cost many years and many millions to make. If we don't support different games at full price they won't be around forever. Like Returnal. Absolutely worth 70 bucks in my eyes. The game looks stunning.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC Detailed, Will Be Two Chapters Long
@starbuck2212 it's definitely a possibility.
Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Yuffie DLC Detailed, Will Be Two Chapters Long
Hell yes! I held off playing this to get Ps5 version, so the extra content is great news. Day one purchase.
Re: Google Denies Cancelled Stadia Exclusive Hideo Kojima Horror Reports
Re: Google Dropped Stadia Exclusive Hideo Kojima Horror, Sources Claim
I guarantee you Kojima's next game is going to be an xbox exclusive. Considering Kojima wants his next game to be a cloud game and Microsoft is all in with the cloud, I think it's a done deal. Combine that with the fact that ludens was in the background of Phil Spencer's video, my gut says that's the truth. But it doesn't really bother me because I don't care about a cloud game and secondly compettition brings out the best of Sony. Prepare my fellow playstation people.
Re: Worry No Longer, Kena: Bridge of Spirits Is a $40 Game
Re: Interview: Returnal PS5 Developer Housemarque Talks Story, Replayability, and Value
Lol!
Re: Worry No Longer, Kena: Bridge of Spirits Is a $40 Game
@Weebleman How do you figure? Returnal is a true Ps5 exclusive built from the groundup to take advantage of all the it's features. It has stunning graphics, great gameplay, 3D sound and is a AAA title with a ton of replay value and a great narrative. Please tell me how it is difficult to swallow? So sick of hearing this. Housemarque makes great games and deserves to be supported. People are cheap as hell.
Re: Soapbox: The Real Problem with Sony's State of Play Livestreams
Re: Mini Review: Curse of the Dead Gods (PS4) - Dungeon Crawler Lights the Way with Unique Mechanics
Lol!
Re: The Last of Us 2 Was the Best-Selling PS4 Exclusive of 2020 in the US
Actually that's not exactly true.
Re: Mini Review: Monster Sanctuary (PS4) - A Monster Taming Marvel
@Party_Cannon Totally disagree respectfully...love the 16 bit pixel art. There's room for all types of games. Pixel art games exist for nostalgia but also because they can be made with fewer people and money and can be quality.
Re: Game of the Year: Video Liam's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2020
Liam you just shot to the top of my favorite pushsquare associate with this list. Well done totally agree with Ghost at the top spot.
Re: The Last of Us 2 Dominates Biggest Ever PS Blog Game of the Year Poll
Re: Ghost of Tsushima Wins 'Player's Voice' at The Game Awards
Re: Neil Druckmann to Continue Writing and Directing at Naughty Dog as Co-President
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@Arnna Wow I've really got in your head buddy. It's really quite sad. As much as I would like to be entertained by the telling things your over sized ego spouts out. I unfortunately have to work early in the morning. Perhaps another day.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@Flaming_Kaiser Liberal is not an insult.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@Arnna I'm guessing you are not a very happy person. Just an fyi, arrogance is the opposite of enlightenment. I actually pity you now.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@ajbrasel Hey bud. A true conservative would not tell another person to shut up because they had a different opinion. It is definitely a liberal thing. No conservative would have a problem with people selling their own property for whatever the market can bear. Secondly where we all can agree I think, is that the bots that buy up all the stock are a problem. But it is very illuminating how everyone resorts to insults if anyone dares to have a different opinion from the mob.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@PhhhCough Thanks you too.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@PhhhCough I think you are talking about lefties bud. Oh I'm not allowed to have an opinion unless I agree with everyone. I see. Who uses cancel culture? If you think that is going off the hinges your grasp on reality is tenuous at best.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@Arnna You can be as smug as you like. But based on opinions on this site. They are definitely liberal. As is the vast majority of games journalism. And all the buzzwords you mention are much of what is wrong with the world and the videogame industry at large. Here's another one for you NPC.
Re: Returnal Gets Brief New PS5 Gameplay in Housemarque Dev Diary
Love Housemarque games. They have shown plenty of gameplay and the cutscenes are in game graphics not CG as far as I can tell.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
God this site and it's bleeding heart liberal tendencies. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone selling a product they own at a price the market will bear. No one is forcing you to buy anything. If it's priced too high it won't sell. But if two parties agree to a price, who is hurt by this? Do you think the government should tell you how much you should be able to sell your property for? That is not freedom.
Re: PS5 Scalpers Are Selling Systems for $1,500/£1,000 on eBay
@Max2574 Why should it be against the law? Do you not believe in personal freedom? No one is forcing you to buy anything. So you think a person who owns sonething shouldn't be able to sell it for whatever the market allows. So you think the government should be able to tell how much you are allowed to sell your property for? Perhaps you should move to China as it appears you don't believe in freedom.
Re: The Forced PS5 Hardware Bundles Are Getting Bigger
@zupertramp I got what they meant and found it an absurd assessment.
Re: The Forced PS5 Hardware Bundles Are Getting Bigger
Give me a break pushsquare! No one is forcing you to buy anything. It's a choice, do you want this package or not. If you only want the Ps5 then this package is not for you and you should wait. You guys are obviously bleeding heart liberals. There is absolutely nothing wrong with companies offering combo packages. If they sell there is demand. If not then it's too much. Nobody can make you do something you don't want to. You said this made you roll your eyes. This article made me roll my eyes.
Re: PS5 Review - The Future of PlayStation
@get2sammyb Fair enough Sammy. Fair enough. Perhaps I have judged this too harshly. Thanks for responding.
Re: PS5 Review - The Future of PlayStation
@Sekys I am chilled. You're right it's his opinion. But certain things are objective facts. And like I said it is my choice to believe Digital Foundry.
Re: Godfall Is Apparently a Timed PS5 Console Exclusive for Six Months
@Fenbops No there is nothing bad about what either side did. It's called business.
Re: PS5 Review - The Future of PlayStation
I'm afraid the rest of the reviewing world doesn't agree with your assessment of backward compatability. Most notably Digital Foundry. No frills. Hardly. They in fact were amazed by it. And considering I find myself disagreeing profoundly with your opinion lately. I think I'll go with the people who actually deal with technology on a daily basis. They said it was amazing. Also giving Spiderman an 8 is laughable.
Re: PS5 Exclusive Returnal Has a Simple But Effective Use for 3D Audio
I love Housemarque and all the games they have made thus far. Playing Alienation again right now. Love dualstick shooters. Returnal looks amazing as well. Housemarque seems to be a perfect fit for worldwide studios. If Sony hasn't picked them up yet they should. Along with Bluepoint games and Kojima Productions. All three seem like they belong at Sony already.
Re: Sony Explains PS5's New Voice Chat Reporting Feature
Take care
Re: Sony Explains PS5's New Voice Chat Reporting Feature
Re: Sony Explains PS5's New Voice Chat Reporting Feature
Re: Sony Explains PS5's New Voice Chat Reporting Feature
Re: Ni no Kuni Dev Level-5 Reportedly All But Ceases NA Operations
Absolutely!! I have loved level-5 games since Dark Cloud!! Sony should buy them and save them. Their games sell pretty well according to gamstat.com, this is a bummer and very strange!
Re: PS5 Console Exclusive Godfall Requires an Internet Connection
Well that sucks. I was going to support this game, especially because they said there would be no microtransactions. Congratulation Gearbox and Counterplay you just lost a sale. There is absolutely no reason for this I don't care what you say. Truly a bummer.
Re: PS5 Game Returnal Looks Amazing in New Screenshot, Plus More Details
I absolutely adore Housemarque. I have always loved their games. I am a big fan of twin stick shooters. They are definitely a cool part of the industry and the epitome of why indy devs are so important. I would be shocked if Sony hasn't bought them already or is going to buy them. When they released the statement earlier this year about how they were still buying developers but they had to be very creative and match the playstation ethos, Housemarque was the first company that popped into my mind. And Kojima Productions.
