Push square proves it's white knighting for TLOU 2 and it's left wing politics yet again. There was no scandal with the user reviews for TLOU 2. It is a divisive game that disrespects it's characters and players who liked the first game. As well as being boring and stuffed with identity politics. All significant males die while the stunning and brave and diverse female characters survive. The scandal is that 47% of the positive reviews for TLOU 2 are exactly the same. The exact same words for 1000's positive reviews. Where's your story on that Pushsquare? That's the scandal. And now it's happening again with salty TLOU 2 fans bombing Ghost of Tsushima. You gonna cover that? The scandal is that critics and industry insiders are deciding when we can see user reviews. Talk about a conflict of interest!! Critics get 3 more days of exclusive game review content and therefore more views and ad revenue. Developers get to silence users for 3 days and get more sales if the game is bad and preventing users from commenting. This is a joke. Many people don't trust critic reviews because they sre loaded with SJW's and don't give accurate reviews because they are paid off with early access. They get review and preview code before the rest of us and don't pay for the game. This leads to ad revenue. It is an incestuous relationship that dies not lead to truthful reviews. You don't need to complete a game to give your thoughts. Now I can't know what users say upon release. And it's nonsense. Do the critics have to prove they have played the game? No. This would be like users deciding how and when critic reviews were made available. It is complete crap!! The industry protecting itself. No surprise pushsquare is for censorship and extending it's exlusive time. Bravo.

@naruball I'm talking about the subsequent weeks as well. Not a mention of the percentage drop week after week from game journos. Everyone has bias, everyone, it is natural. Yes I did not like the game I thought it was disrespectful, poorly written, unbelievable, and frankly boring. And loaded with identity politics. Every significant male gets killed in the game while the stunning and brave diverse women survive. And many many people agree with me. And no we are not bigots (I'm gay so don't go there.) The vast majority of game journos have been white knighting this game as if it's the best thing ever and those who disagree are wrong. It is my belief that Ghost will outsell TLOU 2 eventually because it is a fun well made game without the agenda.

It may be normal to drop a big percentage in the second week but not 80 to 85%. And like I said none of the game journos have reported on the percentage drop in the subsequent weeks. I'm betting it has continued to drop markedly. As for dismissing the user scores but believing critic scores are somehow more accurate I staunchly disagree. With the user reviews many have paid 60 bucks for the game so they are going to give it a true review. Yes there are some haven't played but the same can be said for the positive reviews. Jeremy from the quartering found that 47% of the positive reviews were identical. Whether you want to believe it or not many many people disliked this game. As for the critic reviews except for a few trustworthy sites most people know they are crap and don't believe critics. Paid with early access to review and preview code which leads to views which leads to ad revenue. And they know there is the potential for black listing. As for why TLOU 2 got better reviews than Ghost, it's because the vast majority of the review sites are from the San Francisco or L.A. region of america. Which makes them far left politically, so they swoon for identity politics and SJW subject matter. Even if they are not from said region most sites are far left. Though they think they are objective. If you look at the user score on metacritic it is 9.2 for Ghost, the complete opposite of TLOU 2. That's what happens when you make a fun game that respects the characters and players. You're sick of my so called hating then I'm sick of the white knighting.

I'm sorry you still haven't comprehended that people have different opinions and that yours do not constitute objective truth. And Btw there's a huge percentage of people who agree with me on this point. Haven't you got sick of being this game's white knight? As far as sales of TLOU 2 go, they plummeted 80% the second week (85% in Japan). And I noticed the the game journos have't bothered to mention the percentage drop in subsequent weeks. And like this site saying Ghost wasn't good enough to top TLOU 2's opening week. I can guarantee Ghost won't drop 80% in it's second week and will end up being far more beloved than TLOU 2.

@Arnna I'm sorry what are you talking about? They are not perceived issues. Yes ND and Sony hired a third party to file false copyright claims to shutdown discussion by youtubers. There was shown proof by them. Yes ND used false advertising to sell the game using fake imagery to show the game as one way. Then you have Sony calling a reviewer telling them they were wrong to give it a low score. All these are facts.
As to your other point I disagree. Games are a form of interactive entertainment. So when people played and loved the previous game and characters they would expect them to be treated with respect and continuity. And even more basic that someone is in the game based on advertising. But no they chose to lie in advertising and crap on the characters. The writing is crap, basic, amateurish and shallow. The gameplay unevolved and boring. The point is the reader review scores on aggregate sites are far more reflective of reality than the access media who get the game free and early who know they risk blacklisting if they give a low score. When Amy Hennig and Bruce Straley were there Naughty Dog made some of the best games with best writing. The point is pushsquare is purposely highlighting the very small number of people who do these nasty things to try and conflate it with people who have legitimate criticism of the game. No they don't blow your mind. But in a a videogame market where you often don't get a complete game at launch or have a ton of micro transactions this is downright extraordinary. And it shows that CD Projekt Red is a company that truly appeciates it's customers and doesn't take them for granted. And backs it up with extras. What a surprise Phil Spencer thinks the series x is going to be better. Is this news? Coming from the people who said they understood Xbox fans wanted to see gameplay at their last event and then proceeds not to show any gameplay. Microsoft and series x will do okay this next gen. But they are going to lose handily again for many different reasons.

@get2sammyb I assume you are talking about my assessment the game and not the stuff about Naughty Dog. Of course I'm willing to admit I'm wrong about what I've gleaned about the game. However my biggest reason for sitting this game out has more to do with how they have treated their employees. Several former devs have spoken about the conditions there so that is a known quantity. As well as how Naughty Dog used a third party to illegally strike down youtube creaters with false copyright strikes to silence any discussion of the leaks. I won't be getting this game. There is a reason why Sony isn't letting reviewers talk about events in the game. The mystery and slow drip of information creates excitement and anticipation. Honestly Sony already did what the switch is doing with the psp!! It had a cable to play it on the t.v. and that was what 12 years ago! If they did that with vita instead of trying to sell pstv it would have sold much better!

@LN78 But things have already returned to much of the capacity before covid in China. And we are still 7 months away from release. I guess we will have to wait and see. But I don't think they will delay.

Bloomberg has said the issue is not that they can't make regular deliveries but rather if the demand will be there if it costs 500 dollars given everybody's economic hardship. They said the pandemic has not affected the supply chain only the cost of parts. Which is why Sony is still saying holiday 2020. I myself will be there day 1 and despite everything think they will easily sell all 6 million units at $500.

@GamingFan4Lyf Perhaps at the beginning cross platform games may look similar. But Sony made the Ps5 from the ground up easy to optimize for. Also the ssd/Io throughput on series x is not that similar to Ps5's. The Ps5 is 2.3 times faster! In addition to that Sony added a ton of extra silicon to remove bottlenecks. Things like 2 co-processors, 6 priority level DMA controller, coherency engine and cache scrubbers. Furthermore AMD's smart shift technology allows excess power from the CPU to be shifted to the GPU and vice versa. Series x has none of that. I'm so sick of hearing people say that cross platform will be virtually identical. The design philosphy of the consoles are drastically different. I'm betting that many third party developers will put a fair amount of exclusives on Ps5 because of the revolutionary ssd. But even the cross platform games will eventually be super optimized for each console.

Of course the typical haters at pushsquare out in full force. I think it's looks great myself. Love the two tones. Playstation controllers were due for a bit of a redesign.

It's only a problem for Sony when sites like this repeat the same tired nonsense that terflops actually mean anything in terms of performance. You will not find one developer who will say tflops mean anything. Second of all 52 compute units at 1.8 Ghz is virtually indentical to 36 compute units at 2.23 Ghz save for a few percentage points. With all the extra silicon to remove bottlenecks on the Ps5 as well as the revolutionary ssd/IO throughput could give the Ps5 the performance edge. As we all know it is about the games. And Sony's Worldwide Studios absolutely destroys Microsofts.

@gollumb82 Words are substance. People were complaining about lack of information on Ps5. So Sony gives them 52 minutes of it and then people complain it's not how they wanted it. Do you think Mark Cerny is lying? Microsoft revealed almost all there is to know about series x 8 months before both consoles come out. They had to get next gen started asap because they got so trounced this generation. Microsoft has no good games coming out this gen. Sony has two monsters. Sony does not need to show everything right away. I was one of the few people that enjoyed Cerny's Ps5 tech talk. It made me realize what a genius he is and that we are in for a real treat with Ps5. I'm sure the substance you are looking for, i.e. games and it's form will be revealed soonish. Along with a few surprises!

@Cybrshrk I know there has been 3D audio. But it has not been this ambitious. Whereas Dolby Atmos has about 32 discernable sound sources this will have hundreds. You will be able to hear individual raindrops. On top of that they are going to have a way to make it custom to your specific ear. Also Cerny said they customized the equivilent of 2 Cu's to do the sound. Or the equivilent of the processing power if the entire Ps4. It is bonkers and certainly has not been done before.

As I had said earlier Cerny is a mad genius. Thinking outside the box. Removing bottlenecks and actually creating something revolutionary as opposed to evolutionary. All the technically ignorant xbots thinking Sony has the far weaker system when in fact the opposite is true!!

And also since the compute units are 62% more dense the comparisons between tflops is not an equal comparison. And performance is likely even in that regard. And the ssd/IO throughput is so revolutionary there is nothing remotely close to it yet. The load speeds are a side benefit. Having this fast of an ssd transefer rate could fundamentally change how games are made. It's more than double the series x. Also it has extra silicon which amounts to co-processor that virtually eliminate bottlnecks in graphical performance. In addition it has a 6 level priority controller which if utilized correctly could drastically improve the player experience. And my bet it will be cheaper as well.

@Gamer83 Nothing got to Sony's head. This was a technical deep dive. There is nithing arrogant about that. They have also said they are planning several events throughout the year. There is reason why developers are praising the Ps5. Because the system has several revolitionary features. Anyone who thinks the series x is better obviously wasn't paying attention. And Sony has not botched anything yet. There will be a controller, form, and game reveal most likely within the next 2 months.

And no the competition is not far superior. What Microsoft is doing is ruining the value of games for players and developers. Given the amount of work it takes to make a game, having a new release be available for a dollar just because Microsoft wants to burn money to get people to their format, is not helping anyone. Sony's approach is far better for the industry imho.

To me it was a fair deal at 19.99. With the addition of God of War and Uncharted 4 which I haven't played yet it is a killer deal imo. And with the ability to download a good amount of games now makes it even better. I give the service an easy A-
