Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

@Ryu_Niiyama Yes it is possible to have a conversation without including everyone, however in this case when you/people say it is better to have more female gamers just because they are female, it logically follows then that it is worse to have more males. And I totally agree with you, celebrating females does not bring down males, which is why I never said that.
And I don't have fake stances. It wasn't a fake neutral stance. I wholly and earnestly believe that it is no cause for celebration to have more or less of one sex over the other in gaming. The only thing that matters in my opinion is your enthusiasm for gaming. I was not trying to pseudo-shame anyone, as that would be petty and is of no interest to me. However if one does feel shame because of another's opinion or beliefs, that is on them. No one can make you feel anything you don't want to feel. How one reacts to something is entirely in their hands.
The fact that you think you think I'm trying to be cool by being neutral/indifferent/apathetic is a rather odd assertion and could not be further from the truth. And frankly says a whole lot more about you than it does me. It is also clearly demonstrably false that I was being indifferent or apathetic to anything.
I despise the saying, "you do you." Aside fro being extremely infintile, it is about as condescending, dismissive and sarcastic as it comes. And sarcasm is the lowest form of communication.
The problem with those who lean a certain way is that they believe there are no objective truths; that everything is subjective i.e. my truth. Unfortunately that is just not the case. So while I actually do try to put myself in other people's shoes when thinking about life's issues, I maintain that the percentage of a certain sex who game is not something to celebrate on it's face. I don't care who games as long as they are enthusiastic about the medium. Thank you for a relatively civil discourse though. And thank you to Push square for actually allowing people to debate without censorship. It is rare in this day and age and is appreciated.

Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

@Richnj You clearly see everything through the lense of identity. Or perhaps being a nurse doesn't appeal to men generally speaking because of their innate differences. That is why there are so few. I doubt there are many men who passionately want to be a nurse but don't because of the stigma of it. And no there is nothing wrong with that. There is not always some pernicious force to explain differences in demographics. And yes I am well aware that women have a wide range of tastes and likes, just as men do. And of course that is obvious.
There is nothing wrong with inclusion on it's face, but it is clearly an agenda.
No you did not bring up professions but I did to illustrate a point. Hobbies, like professions are often chosen because of the innate differences between men and women and it is not always some nefarious happenings as the cause. Just fundamental differences between men and women.
Your snarky remark about my empiracal observations are nothing like your characterization of what I said. I didn't doubt that the amount of women playstation owners had increased, only the accuracy of the stated percentage.
Why didn't Sony just fake a higher percentage you ask potentially? Well because the number was already suspicious enough. If they went any higher it would be obvious they were fudging the numbers.
And sorry bud but your vocabulary is filled with marxist buzzwords like normalizing and inclusion. I believe virtually every intelligent person believes in equity of opportunity. The problem is many people think there should be equity of outcome, but sadly that can only be achieved through tyranny.

Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

@Richnj First of all my response wasn't negative to the assertion that 41% of playstation owners are women, it was incredulity. I have zero issue with women gamers and or the fact that their numbers are increasing. I just find that number to be dubious based on my emperical experiences. Especially when you consider Sony is trying to show they are inclusive. You can make stats say whatever you want. Secondly what a ridiculous statement to make, that because women make up 50% of the population they must therefore make up 50% of every hobby or profession. This may come as a surprise to you, but their are differences between the sexes. Particularly what they like and dislike. Would you say it's problematic that over 95% of nurses are female? Is there discrimination against men? Would the field be better off with more men? I don't think so. The only thing that matters is the qualifications of the person. People are attracted to what they are enthusiastic and passionate about. So no I don't agree that it is just inherently better for more women to game. The only thing that matters is whether the person is passionate and enthusuastic about gaming in my opinion.

Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

@Ryu_Niiyama Because it should irrelevant what sex the people gaming are. It should be a neutral feeling, neither good nor bad. By saying it's a better/good thing for there to be more women gamers the other implication is that it's a bad thing that there were more male gamers before. And I think that's ridiculous. It is not a bad thing that more males have traditionally been attracted to gaming. Another implication is that a majority of males is not diverse. As if males are a monolith with no diversity amongst our ranks. Which is of course patently absurd. Nor is it necessarily better that more women are gaming. It should not matter what the sex is of the gamer. Identity politics is the bane of modern society.

Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

@get2sammyb You've got to be kidding me Sammy. You can't imagine a corporation lying or embellishing. That is virtually all they do. Sony wants to show they are diverse and virtue signal but the data doesn't add up and you think they wouldn't lie? Let me guess you also believe the covid stats are completely undoctored and it's so deadly you should wear a mask outside by yourself.

Re: Almost Half of PlayStation Gamers Are Women

Exlee300p

Pushsquare proving the obvious that the majority of so-called gaming journalism lean heavily left. I'm not saying that because of the article but because of your antagonism toward people who dare question it. And I too don't believe that number for a second. Sorry. Like some previous people stated, what's their methodology to prove this? I would be shocked if the actual number was more than 20% female on playstation. They are probably averaging the amount of females in a household. When I was younger and worked at gamestop and 95% of the customers were men. When I have shopped at gamestop there were mostly men 90% of the time. Sony is just virtue signaling in my opinion unfortunately. As tens of thousands of people are fleeing California because of high taxes, high crime, drugs, homelessness, abd draconian covid policies, Playstation chooses to move in. Capital of wokeness and failed leftest policies. I pray it doesn't affect them any more than it has.

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Not Expecting a PS5, PS4 Press Conference from PlayStation Next Month

Exlee300p

Going to have to heartily disagree with you Sammy. There is not a snowball's chance in hell Sony is not going to have a future of gaming type event. It has been a long time since the last one and to keep increased excitement for Ps5 they've got to do one. I think it will be early July and they are going to adjust it based on what is shown at E3 and Keighley's show. I will be pretty pissed if they don't. You need to give your loyal fans something.

Re: Biomutant (PS4) - The Classic Case of What Could Have Been

Exlee300p

I guess not all games can be as good as Metal Gear Survive, right Liam. Lol! I swear you guys are terrible. Yes I have not played the game. But by all accounts it's an average game. In my world a game has to be almost completely broken to get a 4 not just be average. Considering how wrong you guys were about Oddworld and you disgustingly gave that a 4, I'm inclined to pick this up.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Returnal?

Exlee300p

This game is so godamned good! I'm addicted to this game. Housemarque has created an instant classic here. They could not be a more perfect fit for worldwide studios. Bluepoint and them are no-brainers in my opinion. Yes the game is difficult. But the gameplay is so good you'll just want to keep improving. It leads you to mastery. Games hold your hand so much now it's refreshing. I grew up on the 8-bit and 16-bit games and many of those games were savage. But when you succeed it is glorious. Easy 10/10!

What a surprise more shilling for TLOU 2. "No Microsoft you're wrong TLOU 2 is the best game evar!!" -Pushsquare always. Re: Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Doesn't Think People Will Buy Wired VR

Exlee300p

First of all who gives a crap what Mark Zuckerburg thinks? He is responsible for spying on billions of people as well as censoring their speech. He also steals competiters ideas and projects and interferes in elections. The man is evil and one of the biggest threats to freedom on the planet. That aside having one wire is not a big deal, nor does it break immersion in my opinion. You are so focused on the sights and sounds in the game that you don't notice. This will be doubley true with PSVR 2 I would imagine. Also without a wire the headset will be heavier because of the battery and you will have to worry about recharging it often. No thanks! In addition it is also much more powerful connected by a wire. So kindly zip it Zuckerburg.

Re: Returnal (PS5) - Housemarque's Deep, Dark Shooter Is a PS5 Must Have

Exlee300p

Wow you guys finally have a review that I believe is spot on. After the laughable and irresponsible Oddworld Soulstorm review (a 4 is a joke) or the terrible Little Nightmares 2 review or the Y's 9 review but worst of all was the TLOU 2 10 review, I really didn't have much hope for this review. But you got it right. I find the only one who does good reviews on your staff is Stephen Tailby. So congrats guys!

Re: The Last of Us 3 Story Outline Has Been Written, Says Neil Druckmann

Exlee300p

@InvaderJim As I said the BAFTA's and IGN are about as woke and leftist as they come. This game is a wet dream to them. The BAFTAS are literally putting diversity qualifications starting next year. Meaning the amount of people of a certain, gender, race, or sexual preference are required to win an award. That is as important to them as merit. That tells you all you need to know about the BAFTA's They have become instantly irrelevant as a result. IGN is also about as woke as they come as well. So it proves nothing. And your Amazon reviews prove that the vocal minority who are cheerleading for this game left reviews and the people who disliked it did not. Also as I said after people found out what they did with the game, sales tanked. After 3 months it was out of the top 20. So believe what you want.

Re: The Last of Us 3 Story Outline Has Been Written, Says Neil Druckmann

Exlee300p

@InvaderJim If you actually read what I said you would understand that what I said about the sakes was not misinformation. GOT outsold it digitally and it was out for a month less. And as I said have to forms of evidence that shows the physical sales numbers are lies. And that was tge majority of it's sales. They counted sales to retailers as sales. Not sold through to customers. There are still a ton of initial shipments of TLOU 2 sitting on store shelves. As I said that is crazy. GOT had multiple re orders and sell outs. If you look at the monthly sales chart you can see that after the initial sales TLOU 2 sank like a rock whilst GOT stayed in the top ten for months. As for the so called 100's of reader awards, they are from small publications and there is a very vocal minority who essentially just made sure their day was spent on the internet shilling for this game. Most people who played the game and disliked it were unaware of these polls. The two big ones the players choice awards at the game awards, that was heavily publicized and metacritic represent how most people feel.

Re: The Last of Us 3 Story Outline Has Been Written, Says Neil Druckmann

Exlee300p

Could not care less. TLOU 2 was so bad IMO that I have lost almost all respect for Naughty Dog and frankly at this point do not care what they are working on if TLOU 2 is a reflection of the direction the studio is going. TLOU 2 was so bad on so many levels, from cringe writing, to unbelievable plot points, to unlikable grotesque characters you were forced to play as, to retconning the first game to fit their agenda, to totally disrespecting the fans and characters of the first game. It was a miserable slog. The divisive identity politics was just the icing on a very bad cake. Industry defining graphics would be the only reason most people would play it a sequel. TLOU 2 was soundly rejected and despised by the majority of people who played it. Meaning at least 51%. Of course the fawning access journalists showed how utterly out of touch with the average gamer they are by acting like this game was one of the most special games of all time. The players choice awards and reader reviews show how most people felt about this game by giving it to Ghost of Tsushima and giving middling reviews to TLOU 2. Across the world it was even more rejected particularly in Asian countries. And before anyone comments yes I am aware plenty of people liked it. But you are in the minority. As for sales, Sony confirmed Ghost of Tsushina outsold it digitally. Think about that. And it was available a month less! A new IP outsold one of the most anticipated sequels to a beloved game of all time! They claim TLOU 2 outsold it overall, but this is slight of hand. They are counting physical sales to retailers, not sold through to customers. This was proven by gamstat engagement compared to the amount they claimed sold. And the numbers didn't even come close to matching. I also have a friend who works at a store who said they still haven't got rid of their initial TLOU 2 stock! That is insane. GOT on the other hand has had multiple restocks. So please no TLOU 3.

Re: Poll: Will You Be Buying Returnal?

Exlee300p

@truerbluer All the levels are hand made but the order they appear in is procedural. Also in the off chance somebody makes a blind purchase of this game and are unaware it's a rougue-lite will be okay with it because of it's top notch quality.

Re: PlayStation Home Trademark Renewal Has Fans Dreaming

Exlee300p

The arrogance of pushsquare to say it's highly unlikely anything will come of this. You have no more clue than anyone else does. And I suspect you are wrong. According to Jim Ryan and Red Tech Gaming Sony has huge plans for PSVR 2. In fact tgey are insanely ambitious. This also has alot to do with their partnership with Epic. Sony's long term goals are to be able to put people's actual avatar's into games or a Home like community area. Imagine watching one of your friend's competing in a fighting game or a sports game and you are viewing it from the stands from your Psvr headset with your actual friends by your side. Or inviting your friends to a house you have curated or going to a bar or club or watching a first run movie in imax with your friends. The possibilities are nearly endless and I believe this is what Sony is trying to accomplish. How far in the future this is remains unclear but it is clear Sony views VR as a huge opportunity. Playstation home had some hardcore devotees and if they could pull off the things I've mentioned above with PSVR 2 as well as provide the requisite killer games I suspect it will sell far more than the 7 million the original sold.

Re: Even Returnal's Fast Travel Animation Is Impressive

Exlee300p

I had absolute no doubt of this game's quality or it's value as Housemarque has never made a bad game. Now given the money to make a AAA game I knew they would succeed. The amazing trailers combined with the knowledge that this game was in production for 3.5 years, I knew the game was going to be something special. The fact that it was taking advantage of all the Ps5's features was icing on the cake. It has 3D sound, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, near instant loading, amazing graphics, and ray tracing at 4k 60fps. I believe you should support game companies you like and the games they make. 70 dollars is reasonable for a game of this quality. Console gaming has always been a relatively expensive hobby. If you can't afford a 70 dollar game which is only 10 bucks more than games have been for 2 generations, you probably shouldn't be gaming. I'm curious to see how off pushsquare is going to be in their review. They have been so wrong as to be laughable of late. Like a 6 to Little Nightmares 2 and a 4 to Oddworld Soulstorm. It seems like games that have old school difficulty they can't handle. This game is going to be no less than an 8.5, probably a 9. Pushsquare will probably give it a 6.

Re: Days Gone Director on Skipped Sequel: 'If You Love a Game, Buy It at F***ing Full Price'

Exlee300p

@TrolleyProblems Or devs could do what they used to do and release demos. Legit demos like People Can Fly did with Outriders. Or Capcom did with Resident Evil Village. Both those demos easily sold me on their games. There are also reviews. Even though most game reviews from so called critics bite the big one. There are a few who's opinion I trust. Then you have history of the game maker. Or if the previews sound lime something you'd like. Also take a chance on a game that's part of the fun. I'm sorry but they are not that expensive. Or try gamefly. It's not a difficult thing to figure out. The bottom line is if you don't support the companies and games you like they risk going away.

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Think Sony's Obsession with PS5 Blockbusters Aligns with Reality

Exlee300p

@TheFrenchiestFry Totally agree. Part of what has always made Sony great was the breadth of experiences you could have on the system. There was something for everyone. And they were unafraid to celebrate that part of what made them unique was that they were japanese. They really have always had the perfect mix of games and genres, both big and small, eastern and western influenced. It is a shame that they no longer seem to see the value there. Japan studio has made or assisted with so many iconic playstation games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, Bloodborne, Demon's Souls, Ape Escape, The Last Guardian and Gravity Rush 1+ 2. And the list goes on. To me it is absolutely insane they would let all that talent go. Like the more I think about it the more it blows my mind. Japan studio deserved to respected until the end of playstation. Even if a game doesn't sell many millions it still has value. It also attracts gamers who are attracted to more unique fare. I really pray they wisen up in this regard and again start to value their japanese heritage.

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Think Sony's Obsession with PS5 Blockbusters Aligns with Reality

Exlee300p

Omg that's two commentaries from Sammy in a row that I 100% agree with. What's going on in the world. And may I say thank you for standing up to the doom and gloom narrative that all too many youtubers, xbots, and so called game journalists are pushing. Has Sony made some baffling decisions? Yes? Is Jim Ryan a myopic money grubbing punk? Yes. Remember when he was talking about Gran turismo 1 and 2 and essentially said, why on earth would anyone want to play them? They look terrible! Because they still play great and those were great memories in our lives, you *****! And this is the guy running playstation! But I digress. We stand on the verge of an amazingly diverse range of games about to be released. Starting with Returnal, then FF7 intergrade, Scarlet Nexus then Ratchet and Clank, then Solar Ashe, then Kena, then Deathloop, then Horizon Zero Dawn. That is a tremendous mix of games and genres. Normally that would leave me with unbridled optimism for the future. But Sony forgetting they are a japanese company does leave me with some concerns. Especially with things like censoring games. Who would have thought if you wanted to see an uncensored version of a game it would be on Nintendo and not Sony?! Or that Sony would essentially turn it's back on Japan with actions like moving it's headquarters to California of all places. Or essentially closing Japan Studios. Perhaps one of the biggest insults was changing the button commands to the western version. In Japan x is cancel and circle is accept. But for the first time they changed it. That is very messed up imo. Despite all these things, the most important things are the games. And here Sony is still killing it. You may be right that Sony curating unique titles from third party studios can allow them to forgo creating them with first party studios. So the moral of the story is as long as great games keep coming I'm happy. And hopefully all this negative press will light a fire under old Jimmy boy's arse and he will protect our legacy games and start respecting Japan and smaller studios again!

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a PS5 Remake of The Last of Us?

Exlee300p

Hell no! The game is only 8 years old and had a Ps4 version that was perfect. Especially after the trash that was TLOU 2. With egomaniac, uberwoke, sjw Neil Druckmann at the helm, I can only imagine what awful changes he plans to make. I have been a playstation afficionado since 1995 and their choices of late have got me very concerned. They seem to only care about one thing now and that is making as much money as possible, regardless of how it is achieved. They don't care if they dilute what makes the playstation ecosystem a special place to play by putting a ton of their games on Pc, Mobile, or making every franchise into a movie or tv show. And now it seems they have no interest in producing smaller to medium experiences, only monster productions. I like those games, but doing just that is boring. If they can't see that art has intrinsic value even if it doesn't make a ton of money then they are truly lost. Jim Ryan really is terrible. All he cares about is the bottom line. They have also seem to have forgotten that being a Japanese company is an asset. I am really missing Shuhei Yoshida and Shawn Layden right now. I can't stand the xbox brand and would never buy an xbox. It looks like I might have to do retro gaming more if Sony doesn't wisen up.

Re: Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5) - A Tough Game to Love

Exlee300p

@JeffreyBowser This score is a joke. Just like their Little Nightmare they gave a 6. To me they were both 9's. They are just not very good gamers. These 2 games are similar in that there are some difficult parts. I had to laugh on the Little Nightmare 2 review when he said his hand cramped playing it up. I totally agree with you on this game. It is fantastic. The art direction and originality alone make this game a 6. Do not listen to this drivel.

Re: Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5) - A Tough Game to Love

Exlee300p

@Mince It is far from a flop. The guys at pushsquare wouldn't know a good game if it slapped them on the ass. This review is so far out of whack to what most people are saying. To me it's a 9. Also do you honestly think one small british site determines if a game is a hit?

Re: Oddworld: Soulstorm (PS5) - A Tough Game to Love

Exlee300p

Wow you guys are the absolute worst reviewers. I couldn't disagree more with this review. In fact I find it irresponsible. The game is actually great. You are just terrible gamers. Many of your recent reviews are garbage. Little Nightmares was an easy 9. As was Y's 9. The same with this game. It is an easy 9. And don't get me started on TLOU 2 review. That game is a 5 at best. Then there is Metal Gear Survive which you gave an 8. That joke of a score speaks for itself.
The graphics are great. The control is spot on. You guys really are just terrible gamers. Giving this game a 4 is laughable. It's laughable. Now I know just to read your reviews for laughs to see how wrong you are. It is really stunning to me this review.

Re: PS5 Review: Is It Good?

Exlee300p

Going to have to disagree with a small part of your assessment. The Ps5 is definitely revolutionary in many respects. But the most significant one is the ssd/IO complex. It does far more than just improve load times. It is cutting edge and has the potential to change the way games are designed because if it's speed and pixel fill rate. Sony deciding to implement Kraken compression and Oodle texture is going to give it a leg up on the competition as well. When games are all designed from the ground up for the Ps5 we will really see the file sizes coming down and 667 Gb won't be so small. We have already seen this in a couple of games, namely Control Ultimate Edition and Resident Evil Village having half the file size of the xbox versions. When all is taken into account, the ssd/io throughput, kraken/oodle compression, dualsense, 3D sound Tempest engine, and the geometry engine, the Ps5 is most assuredly revolutionary. And time will bear this out.

Re: Reaction: Sony Said Xbox Game Pass Isn't Sustainable, Then Released One of Its Tentpole Titles into the Service Anyway

Exlee300p

For once I 100% agree with Sammy on every single point he made. This is all scumbag Jim Ryan's doing. For sure. As I said yesterday and I'll say again all he cares about is the bottom line and making money. He doesn't care about what makes playstation a special place to game. Which is why in his words their are a whole "slate" of playstation games coming to pc. He doesn't care that this dilutes the playstation ecosystem and makes the playstation a less unique place to game. He doesn't care about legacy consoles and the nostslgia people have for them because of the amazing memories that were created with friends and familly whilst playing. Which is why he unceremoniously shut down the Ps3, Psp, and Ps Vita stores without any preservation in place. On top of that they didn't even warn some devs still porting their game to the Ps Vita. Which is repugnant. All during record profit. He doesn't care that Japan Studio had a hand in some of the most iconic games in playstation history and shut the studio down for all intents and purposes. Just because it didn't make enough money. As a result lots of great talent left the company, like 24 year vetren Gavin Moore who directed the Demon's Souls Remake. And finally he doesn't care that they allowed the MLBA to take the publishing of a first party game on a rival platform away from them and embarrass them by putting it on gamepass because it will net tens of millions of dollars. Finally he doesn't care that he lies and misleads as his generations quote as well as the one in this article shows. When confronted about it he was shameless and indignant. Despite the Ps5 more than likely being the fastest selling console of all time with 7.6 million sold, and making record profit last year, the year has not been a 100% success. I am the biggest playstation guy there is and despite them doing a lot of stuff that is really great, this MLB The show going on gamepass day 1 really crossed a line for me. Same with not having the professionalism and respect to inform Ps Vita devs the store was closing soon. There is still not a chance I would ever go xbox but I hope playstation can survive lyin' Jim Ryan!

Re: Sony Game MLB The Show 21 Will Be Free with Game Pass on Xbox, Full-Price on PS5, PS4

Exlee300p

@BrainHacker I respectfully disagree. Ps Plus ad Ps Now is better than gamepass to me. You get 60 games to own and 1,000s to rent. Unlike you I play quality games irrespective if they're independent or not. Furthermore allowing day and date new releases to be played for the price of a rental will have it's consequences. Games may be filled with microtransactions or will be much shorter or any other unseen consequences. So no I have no problem paying for a game to support game companies I like. Also I don't want to have to pay 10 bucks a month forever to play a game I like. For a rental services to work and sell games that cheap they need to not only have10's of millions of subscribers and it forces every game company to come on board and therefore give some of their profit to the service provider. This takes away the dev's autonomy as well. So yeah, I disagree.

Re: Sony Game MLB The Show 21 Will Be Free with Game Pass on Xbox, Full-Price on PS5, PS4

Exlee300p

I can almost guarantee this is because of Jim Ryan. All he cares about is the bottom line. He doesn't care that putting a slew of games on pc dilutes what makes the playstation ecosystem unique and special. He doesn't care thst when you put a game on pc it is no longer just a playstation game. He doesn't care about the importance of legacy platforms and preserving them. He doesn't care about the nostalgia many people have for playstation because so many fond memories were had with friends and family and the system. He doesn't care about the japanese market or it's studios anymore as is evidenced by the Japan Studios closing. He doesn't care about the terrible optics of putting a first party game on the competition's subscription service, because like everything above he only cares about money. On top of that he is a shameless and indignant liar. Fortunately despite all that, to me, playststion is still the far better ecosystem snd place to game. Their exclusives and hardware appeal to me. I hope enough bad press stops him from doing any more damage. Thare are certsin lines if he crosses I am done.

Re: Sony Game MLB The Show 21 Will Be Free with Game Pass on Xbox, Full-Price on PS5, PS4

Exlee300p

@get2sammyb I agree it's bad optics, but you are forgetting one crucial detail as always, you don't own it on Gamepass. That makes all the difference. In a game where you continue many seasons I would presume Sony is trying to get them hooked for a month or two, then rotating it out in the hopes they buy. Or Microsoft offered them a boatload of cash. Oh Btw you're wrong about Outriders. It is a super fun game and I don't give a crap if someone can rent it on Gamepass. I bought it happily. As unlike alot of people apparantly, I like to actually support the companies that make the games I like. I am positive it will sell well on playstation. Also you can use gamefly if you are unable to pay full price. I am so sick of everyone fawning over gamepass like it's the second coming. It's a rental service for Christ's sake. Gamefly has been around for over a decade. For the same price as gamepass,120 a year, you can get Ps Plus and Ps Now, which if you're a Ps5 owner gets you a bare minimum of 59 games to own plus 1,000 games to rent, 330 of which are downloadable. That includes many new releases. To say nothing of the play at home initiative which will get you 10 more games. It's insane how great you think Gamepass is when playstation has a better deal and value with Plus, Now, and Play at home. As much as you hate on Sony you should really consider a job at Microsoft.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a PS1, PS2, or PS3 Emulator for PS5?

Exlee300p

I would use an emuator on the Ps5 to play ps 1 to ps3 games. However I will probably just buy an og Ps3 with backward compat. Though with Sony crappily shutting down the psp, Ps3, and Ps Vita stores soon, they say this clock battery thing could be an issue. Though I'm sure they can find a work around. With my Ps5 and og Ps3 i can play all games in the playstation ecosystem. Which rocks. In addition they are all enhanced.

Re: Soapbox: PSVR's Crap Load of Cables Has Put Me Off

Exlee300p

Wow color me shocked! Another article about Sammy bitching and whining about something. Something that is not a big deal and easily fixable. First of all it is not that difficult to set it up. And really a sign of the times of how lazy and short of attention this generation is. The instant access to everything and addictive mind state our cellphones foster with their sights and sounds going off constantly has made simple things seem like a chore to many people. It literally takes less than ten minutes to set up. Or here's the other easy solution, keep it set up at all times. I keep it plugged in all the time and have a container I store it in next to my tv. As the saying goes, there are no problems, only solutions.
