The final sales reports for 2020 are in, and The Last of Us: Part II is now officially the best-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive of the year across the US. It took third place in the overall sales chart for PlayStation 5 and PS4 software, beaten only by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima was right behind it in fourth while Final Fantasy VII Remake also puts in an appearance in sixth place. PS5 and PS4 game Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales web-swings into seventh place and MLB The Show 20 rounds out the Sony-published titles in ninth.
That means the Japanese giant put out almost half of the best-selling PS5 and PS4 games for 2020 — an achievement worth commending. Naughty Dog must also be chuffed with the high placement of its PS4 follow-up. The developer just started advertising for open positions on its next big project, so expect that title to rank highly on the corresponding sales chart for the year it launches too.
How many of these PS5, PS4 titles did you buy? Post your list in the comments below.
