Well here’s the thing MH was a yearly thing on THAT underpowered 2 Screen gimmicky Portable and that really pushed Japanese MH fans to buy That Portable.

Dragon Quest XI was also on that Portable cut the Portable. DQ fans will buy a PS4 just for XI as it’s exclusive.

@naruball thing is Monster Hunter came too late and was exclusified to a Portable.

Dragon Quest XI WAS NOT exclusive while diff games it was also on that really underpowered 2 screened Portable that had a strange 3D gimmick that the Japanese preferred because Portability.

Why does exclusives matter? Because it sells consoles.

EA & Activision prob won’t wanna hurt the relationship w Sony But Bethesda can get away w it cus thier real audience is on PC.

Take Two is all about Microtransactions & money so Ofc they’re gonna stick w PlayStation & Take Two owns Rockstar.

@wiiware well that’s because THAT company currently doesn’t really have a crazy big playerbase on thier platform so crossplay could be needed... Sony has a big enough base on thier platform that they don’t or ever will need crossplay & it doesn’t look like that’ll change as I think it’s gonna be obvious that PS5 will do just as well as PS4. So once again Sony is unstoppable, Sony always wins.

@wiiware Sony prob won’t ever budge since the PS5 WILL sell well and really there’s nothing stopping that since Sony’s 1st Party IPs & Studios are the best in the industry & it is unrivaled. Sony is practically unstoppable at this point.

@get2sammyb the only way is Trending games exclusivity... either get Yokai Watch, Monster Hunter (Post MHW/MH Switch [Capcom in a investors call said there’s a new MH Post MHGU being made for Switch dunno if exclusive], Dragon Quest (Post DQXI), Shin Megami Tensei, etc to jump or stick w PlayStation & they become exclusive. Now why Exclusive? Because the other system may steal sales very possibly due to Japan’s preference (to an extent)

Sony should try and exclusify Monster Hunter kinda like back on the PSP days then you’re gonna get beautiful looking MH games only on PlayStation 5
